Agua Viva House - Classic Cottage on Webb Cove
Agua Viva House is a darling cottage that sits atop a hill with an elevated view of Webbs Cove in Stonington Maine. Watch the tides come and go from this scenic and sweet home. A large yard, a covered deck from the master bedroom and a sea view deck on the first floor make Agua Viva a lovely retreat.
Agua Viva (which in portuguese means Live Water) is a two bedroom, one and two half bathroom house with an open concept floor plan on the first floor. Guests enter Agua Viva from the parking area. There is an entry hallway with a coat closet and a bench to remove shoes. There is a large, well equipped kitchen with a chef style gas range, dishwasher and a full size refrigerator. The kitchen has a snack bar in between the kitchen and living room area which has a full size couch, chair and full size television with cable programming. The living area also has a full size dining table with seats for four. Finishing off the first floor is a half bathroom, which also houses the door out to the first floor deck. The master suite bedroom at Agua Viva House is on the second floor. The bedroom has a walk in closet, king bed, ocean view balcony with two comfortable seats in which to enjoy the view and a full bathroom with a shower and bathtub combo.
There is an additional bedroom on the second floor that could be considered two seperate sleeping areas, one space has one twin bed, the other space has an additional two twin beds with direct access to the outside porch with stairs.
Agua Viva House has a lush green yard, with many comfortable seating options to enjoy the view including a fire pit surrounded by adirondack chairs.
Importantly the home does have a boat launch available for guests. It will make launching kayaks, canoes, sailboats, or motor boats convenient.
As a guest at The Agua Viva House, you have the option to join Captain Carter (homeowner), where he can take you on his lobster boat to witness a trap being hauled and the process of filtering keepers from non keepers and show a glimpse of the life of a local lobsterman.

HOUSE RULES

No large parties or gatherings
No fire pits unless advertised and included
CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be in writing and received by Agent. Cancellations may only be made between the date that a reservation deposit is received and a date determined to be 45 days prior to the tenants scheduled arrival date. Cancelations within 45 days of arrival will not result in a refund in whole or part of rental monies received. If a cancellation is made prior to 45 days of arrival, the Agent shall, as an accommodation to the Tenant, make an effort to re-rent the property at the published rate for the rental term reserved. No refund of rents paid will be made until the canceled period is re-rented and confirmed. If the canceled period is re-rented, any rent and taxes paid will be refunded less a $100 administrative fee. If the re-rental amount is less than the published rate, any difference in rental rate remains the sole obligation of the tenant. If the unit is not re-rented, all rents paid, processing fees and taxes shall be forfeited as damages. This cancellation policy is strictly followed. Tenants are encouraged to purchase travel insurance for all vacations to cover many situations that may arise that might cause one to cancel vacation plans. There are many independent insurance providers available to tenants.
I understand that the insurance company holds this policy and that The Island Agency does not determine eligibly of claims.
