Half House - Rustic, Cape, Oceanfront w/ Sunsets
A quintessential Maine summer cottage located in the desirable Sand Beach section of Stonington. Enjoy dramatic, elevated views of the Penobscot Bay from this beautiful seaside setting with western exposure for amazing sunsets.The Half House has three bedrooms and one and one half bathrooms. The first floor of the home has a galley style kitchen with supplies to prepare most any meals, plus a dishwasher. There is a formal dining area and a full bathroom on the first floor. There is a living area with gorgeous views and sliding glass doors that go out to the small covered porch where one can take it the beautiful sights of the open ocean. Finishing the first floor is a bedroom with a full bed and its own half bathroom.
The second floor of the home is more rustic with bare wood in some areas. There are two bedrooms on this floor, one with a full bed and one with two single beds. These two room are adjoining so you do walk through one to get to the other.
The Half House is a sweet cottage in a lovely area of Stonington. If you are looking for stunning views and a beautiful location on the coast then look no further.
** Note: Half House does have iron rich water, also known as hard water. This water can have a tendency to stain appliances and fixtures, while it is not unsafe to drink, wash in, cook with we do like to make guests aware of the issue ahead of scheduling your visit.
* Please note that if you elect to book this property you will be expected to sign a vacation rental agreement with The Island Agency. CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be in writing (email is acceptable) and received by the Agent. Cancellations may only be made between the date that a reservation deposit is received and a date determined to be 45 days prior to the Guestsâ scheduled arrival date. Cancellations within 45 days of arrival will not result in a refund in whole or part of rental funds received. If a cancellation is made prior to 45 days of arrival, the Agent shall make a good-faith effort to re-rent the property at the published rate for the reserved rental term. No refund of rents paid will be made until the cancelled period is re-rented and confirmed. If the cancelled period is re-rented, any rent and taxes paid will be refunded less a $100 administrative fee. If the new rental amount is less than the published rate, any difference in rental rate will be deducted from the rental returned to the tenant. If the unit is not re-rented, all rental funds paid, processing fees and taxes shall be forfeited as damages.
This cancellation policy is strictly followed. Guests are encouraged to purchase travel insurance for all vacations to cover many situations that may arise which might cause one to cancel vacation plans. Life happens and we donât want you to lose your deposit. There are many independent insurance providers available to tenants. I understand that the insurance company holds this policy and that The Island Agency does not determine eligibility of claims.
