I stayed in Pono Kai B101 with my husband and 2 adult children. The condo itself is 5 stars, but stars knocked off for the noise level. POSITIVES: It is one of the most well supplied places weâve ever stayed at with many beach accessories, chairs, umbrellas, towels, bathroom toiletries and extremely well stocked kitchen. Thereâs both a Keurig with provided coffee pods and a coffee maker. The place is spotlessly clean. The sliding door opens to a tabled patio and grassy area which ends at a bike/walking path where we enjoyed watching sunrises. We were very comfortable with A/C units in the living area and each bedroom. We had fun during the koi feeding at the groundâs pond. The grounds keeper would fish for tilapia in the pond to feed the resident heron bird. The location is an easy walk in to town, where there are eateries and bakeries (Wailua Bakery & Haole Girl are terrific!) Poke from Pono Market is the best! Safeway is conveniently close. NEGATIVE (unfortunately): the insulation between the upper floor and lower unitâs ceiling is poor. You can hear every single footstep from the tenant in the upper condo. It was loud and there was only a single occupant! Good thing there weren't multiple people staying. You can also hear the upper unitâs toilet flush, it sounded like water gushing down the walls in the master bedroom. At first we were super annoyed but at some point we just started laughing about it and let it not ruin our stay.
