Njut av Nationens Capitol när du bor i en höftfamilj, hund och gayvänligt grannskap i närheten. Det är en destination i sig själv. Detta charmiga radhus i det stora stadsdelen Del Ray i Alexandria har allt du behöver för att njuta av en avkopplande resa. Många restauranger och trendiga butiker ligger precis utanför dörren. Promenera till lokala Del Ray Farmer's Market, flera kaféer, sushi, pizza, italiensk, fransk, mexikansk / Salvadoransk, bbq, fantastiska hamburgare, fantastiska frysta vaniljsås och café för ekologisk / hälsokost. Många platser har sittplatser utomhus. Fantastisk ostbutik / restaurang och lokal slaktare. Otrolig yoga / Pilates-studio med het yoga som heter Mind the Mat är bara några kvarter bort. Dessutom ligger bara några kvarter bort en Capital BikeShare-cykeluthyrning samt en co-op-cykelbutik. Gå till hundpark, CVS, livsmedelsbutik, KFUM, cykel / vandringsled som går hela vägen till Mt. Vernon Estate i en riktning och Washington, DC i den andra och ansluter till miles av andra spår. Nära till den historiska gamla stan (1. 5 miles) med ännu fler boutiquebutiker och restauranger, och en fantastisk Farmer's Market som hölls på samma plats som det var tillbaka på George Washingtons dag. Paddelläge och kajakmöjligheter på Potomac. Gångavstånd (1 mil) till tunnelbanan. Två sovrum (en drottning med justerbar bas (!) och ett fullt) och ett badrum på övervåningen. Rummet med sängen i full storlek har inte en garderob, men det finns gott om utrymme i det andra sovrummet och det finns en krok på baksidan av dörren. Fullt utrustat gourmetkök med öppen spis och öppen planlösning med bänkskivor i granit, bra knivar och köksredskap. Vackert anlagd, inhägnad trädgård med härlig belysning och eldstad. Gatuparkering finns alltid antingen direkt framför eller inom några få utrymmen. Detta är en duplex - inte en plats för partier eller senkvällar. Ledsen men INTE RÖKAR. Tyvärr finns inga långtidsbokningar tillgängliga. Men välskötta hundar är alltid välkomna mot en extra avgift på $ 20 per hund per natt.

Family vacation

Comfortable, well-located home in Alexandria

We were very comfortable in this well-furnished and well-equipped Del Ray home. The location is convenient for walking to town and to the park and nearby trails - and for travel by car/metro to D.C. Our host made it easy to check-in and out, and we appreciated her easy communication throughout our week stay.

A quick trip to NOVA and this house had everything we needed, and a cute backyard for our dog to explore. Communications were friendly, speedy and accommodating! Highly recommend.

As 2 senior citizens, the steep stairs to upstairs bedroom and basement bedroom, were an obstacle. No bathroom or bedroom on main floor. Good location.

Perfect Home Base

Visiting family in Alexandria and this little home in Del Ray was a perfect home base. Very easy communicating with Maria. Home was tidy and neat. Nice size living and dining areas. Kitchen was very well stocked and a beautiful gas stove. The 2 bedrooms are on the small side as is the bath, but quite adequate for our needs. Lots of hot water. Lovely deck and garden space in the fenced back yard. Dog friendly for our fur baby. And the neighborhood was perfect for walking and enjoying the weather. We hope to return. :) Tip: Grab a coffee and pastry at Junction Bakery. Yummy!

Comfortable home and retreat in excellent location!

Our family of six just spent the week in Maria's adorable and comfortable townhouse in Alexandria. From the moment we walked in, I felt like I was at home. I could literally feel my body relax. The home is beautiful and extremely well taken care of. I was impressed with how clean everything was (and I'm a clean freak!). Zero complaints here. We were concerned about parking as there isn't a dedicated spot for the townhouse. Maria assured us that parking would not be an issue and she was right. We never had a problem finding a parking spot on the street (same block even), no matter the time that we returned. It was such a relief! We were also impressed with Maria's eagerness to alleviate any concerns we had in advance or during our stay. She went out of her way to solve any issues and make her home fit our family. Our children loved playing in the backyard and we enjoyed meeting the neighbors. Everyone was extremely friendly and kind. Thank you so much for our home away from home!

Not what we expected

This VRBO was in a good location and showed promise of being a great property. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed by the condition of the house. It seemed rundown and not taken care of. It did not seem as if it had a thorough cleaning, the backyard area was completely unusable. The basement where the second bedroom was, was musty and noisy due to a refrigerator that runs all night long. The owner told us she would refund us for a night due to the fact that the basement wasn’t even open to us when we arrived. We never did receive a refund and would still appreciate that from her. we actually ended up staying at my sisters house since it was much more comfortable and clean. I would not recommend this property.

Charming home, Walkable, Great Location

We highly recommend Maria’s home. It was perfect for us as a spot to visit a family member who had major surgery at a DC hospital. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, details like robes for guests, and of course the fabulous, walkable neighborhood with restaurants, shops and a park. Maria was great to work with as well. Five stars!!

Repeat Winner

This was our second visit to Maria's home. We immediately felt right at home and were happy to once again be a part of the Del Ray community. The house was spotless and just as advertised. We love the gourmet gas stove in the roomy kitchen/ dining combo. And the updated bathroom was such a nice treat. Our lab enjoyed the yard space and the walks through the neighborhood. Maria was easy to communicate with before and during our stay. You will not regret choosing this home as a bad for visiting northern Virginia and the DC area.

Almost like home

We were back for a 2nd visit to this sweet home away from home. Lovely to see the neighborhood in the springtime. All the conveniences of home are provided in a tidy and charming package. Short walk to the Del Ray shopping and dining district. Well located for any of your other DC needs.

Truly Charming

Everything about this townhome was charming and being there was extremely relaxing and peaceful. The home was also very clean and comfortable. The owner was great to work with and quick to answer any questions. The neighborhood is safe, quiet and friendly. We found parking right in front of the house every day of our stay there. The patio and the backyard would have been the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening but it rained several days during our stay so we didn’t have the opportunity to do so. We were in Alexandria to visit family so we ate most meals at their homes but there are many good restaurants in Del Ray and we hope to try take-out from a few next time. We did order burgers from Holy Cow which is a short walk from the house and they were delicious. We enjoyed our stay in Del Ray and we look forward to staying in this lovely townhome again if it is available on our next visit to Alexandria.

Perfect stay in Del Ray

With this being my first visit to the DC area, I was absolutely blown away with how amazing the Del Ray area was. There are so many restaurants just a few blocks away. We stayed for 5 days and never are at the same place twice. The house was the perfect home base for our DC adventure. Maria was great to work with and made our trip truly wonderful.

Relaxing home away from home

So much better than staying at a hotel in this area. This super clean home is in a very quiet neighborhood and conveniently close to Old Town and Washington DC sights. Maria has everything we needed to make us feel at home.

Great place to stay!!

Awesome communication with host!! Very inviting home in a quiet, friendly neighborhood, and very comfy beds! Close to amazing restaurants and grocery stores. If you have young children, there is a cute playground around the corner. Look forward to staying here again the next time my family and I visit!

I own this home in Del Ray, that I lived in for 10 years, and own or manage several others in the idyllic Northern Neck of Virginia as part of my property management company, Harmonized Getaways.

This is a great townhouse on a nice block in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Metro D.C. Del Ray is featured in several magazines and on tv shows as a great place to live. (Cottage Living, The View). I fell in love with this neighborhood and you will see why!

The back yard is like a small oasis. Upper deck with comfy pallet couch for enjoying morning coffee, lower patio with brand new stone and comfy seating, and nicely landscaped yard with a fire pit for making S'mores on a chilly evening.
