Perfect Location & Very Clean
We spend a lot of time in vacation properties and in SW Florida specifically. This house was very clean, and the view cannot be beat. The pool area is beautiful and we enjoyed it very much.
Communication with property management company was challenging. We called as soon as we arrived and received no response, someone (Mike) showed up the next day to check us in and we talked to him about several issues we'd identified - broken bathroom door, no beach chairs, network/smart TV issues, etc. He was very personable and said he'd take care of it - we'd have chairs later that day and he'd get someone to fix the door and someone to look at the network issue. He did nothing. Several messages to Adam over the course of the next two days and he acknowledged that we needed a new cable box or modem, but still nothing was done. Finally Talisa came three days into our stay and brought chairs and scheduled someone to fix the door. We personally showed her the issues with the network and tv's and she said she'd take care of it. We stayed 7 more days and never heard from her again. I have an autistic teenager and tv is a requirement - we couldn't log into Netflix or Amazon Prime on the smart tv's (Talisa saw in person that it wasn't our log ins - this was a tv/network issue) and the cable package at the house basically includes a couple home shopping and news channels. We finally went out and bought a Roku that we used for the rest of the week.
Additionally, I knew from the listing that I would be responsible for all electric usage during our stay. I did not know that the owners would have jet skis, a boat and other stuff in the garage plugged in and charging the whole time. As a guest, I should not be paying for the electricity to charge things I'm not even using.
House was clean, location was great, but I won't rent from Happy Cape again.
