I just want to say that RealJoy Vacations were great to work with and very good customer service. As for the unit, the place is amazing ! Great location, very clean and lots of room for our Girls Trip to Destin. I would highly recommend this unit and will definitely go back next year for our Annual Girls Trip.

There were 8 of us staying for a summer vacation at this property. The layout of rooms was nice and spacious. There were a few things about the property that need improvement. The doors on the laundry closet fell off the hinges and were worn. Also the washing machine had an odor from being a front loader and people keeping it closed. Those should be left open when not in use and it smelled moldy. The queen size bed mattress was not the best quality and our friends were uncomfortable in it. Other than those few areas of opportunity, the view was beautiful, master bed/bath was amazing, and overall felt clean and welcoming. We love Island Princess and have been 3xs to visit different units there.

Great location, but there were problems

We were notified 2 days prior to checking in that there would be construction. The mgmt co. offered a refund, but it was too late for us to change plans, so I agreed to a 20% discount. As such, I can't complain about that. However, there were other disappointments. The dryer was in serious disrepair. It worked, but it sounded like a jackhammer & was quite disconcerting. Hopefully, the neighbors weren't disturbed. The mgmt company responded quickly and sent a repairman. They couldn't repair the dryer due to no available parts, so we lived with that. Prior guests must not have used the dryer or just didn't report the problem. The worst problem to which the management company did respond quickly was the "other guests." The Roach family, quite a large family, made themselves known right away. We saw many and squashed those who couldn't run fast enough to get away. When one came out of the toaster, that sealed the deal. We had to purchase out own plates, cups, and silverware. We "hid" bread, open chips, and other foodstuffs in the microwave and our ice chests.I found a nesting place under the kitchen sink and dishwasher. Mgmt sent two exterminator teams, and hopefully, for the next guest, the infestation has been eradicated. We loved the location, & layout & appreciated the mgmt acting as promptly as they could, but we probably won't be staying at this particular location again cuzIt's kinda hard to get the picture of the roach coming out of the toaster from my head.

Great location

Condo was as listed. However, there were no dishrags or dish towels in kitchen. No working vacuum to clean up daily sand. The pool, hot tub, and grills were not available due to construction on building. Construction was very loud during the day and the property manager did not let us know before our arrival that it was going on. They did give us a 20% discount on our stay and refunded it in a timely manner, once we complained.

Condo 710

Everything was good with exception of a few kitchen items (pot holders, trivet, spoon rest, number of dish towels). The three bathrooms were great as there were 6 adults and 2 kids. Overall, it was a pleasurable visit.

The condo was great! Very clean and well kept. The only issue was the elevators. Several were down and they had not received parts to fix them. Hopefully that is completed soon. Would definitely stay again.

Not clean at all!!

We arrived before check in and was told we couldn’t check in early. We didn’t mind and hung out at the beach waiting. We received an email at 3:30 with the door code and welcome package and thought maybe they got it ready 30 minutes early. We used the door code and entered the condo but noticed it hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guests. It seemed unlikely they could clean it in 30 minutes but we waited anyway. At 4 pm (check in time) we tried again. Still mot clean and no cleaning staff anywhere. I called and got sent to many different people before speaking to someone and they said they’d call me back. 5 minutes later I received a text that the room was clean and ready. Went to the room and it looked exactly the same. Called again and got the run around again and said they’d call me back. I waited about 20 minutes and called them back when I didn’t hear anything. It’s very hot there and my family was exhausted and traveled all day. Luckily our friends had a different condo that provided a smooth early check in so we were able to at least get some AC while I dealt with it. They finally said the cleaning crew was stuck in traffic and they’d text me an ETA. They offered us a $100 gift card to take our family to dinner while we waited. 2 hours later our room was finally cleaned. When we went to unpack our stuff there was still trash in the trashcans and we found a syringe needle on the carpet in the bedroom. This would jot be acceptable u see normal circumstances but certainly not during this time. I called them again just to let them know the cleanliness of the room was not adequate. The condo has a nice set up but very minimal cooking utensils. The shower curtains are moldy and I had to wash all the bed sheets because they didn’t look clean and given the cleaning situation I dealt with upon check in I wasn’t risking it. The pool and amenities were nice and the guys doing beach service were nice and accommodating. The view is beautiful. The last day of our trip our flight was canceled while we were sleeping. I called to see if the condo was available for that additional night since our airline put us on a flight for the next day. It wasn’t available which was not at all surprising since the place was completely full and very busy the entire week we were there. I asked them to give us an extra hour to figure out travel and they said no. Check out is at 10 am which is way too early to completely clean out your condo after a week anyway.

Great location, condo needs some work

We enjoyed being right on the beach and the gorgeous views from the 7th-floor balcony! The location was perfect in proximity to the boardwalk, too, and we could see the Wednesday night fireworks from our balcony. Check-in was simple to complete. Being on the 7th floor near the central elevator, it was always busy, so we always had a wait to go up/down. The outdoor staircase only goes up to the 4th floor, so the only other option is to go all the way to one end of the building and use the other elevator or stairs; I would have preferred just to climb the outside stairs if that were possible because of how busy and humid/hot the elevator got. The pool and hot tub area were great and well-maintained, if a bit crowded, and during peak beach times the hallway and beach walkway/shower area would get really congested. You have to cross through the pool area to get to the beach and go through two gates, which is difficult to do while carrying things to the beach. The chair reservation system is confusing - the attendants assured us that once we secured our chairs, we would have them the rest of the week, then suddenly forgot to put our number out halfway through the week. The condo itself was comfortable and spacious with three bedrooms and bathrooms plus the fold-out sofa bed. All the bathtub drains were stopped up and would fill during showers, which was gross. The refrigerator would occasionally start making a tapping sound for about a minute throughout the day/night, which was really annoying, and it was missing the bottom shelf. The kitchenware wasn't great, but that's typical in a rental. There are no coffee filters provided, and the store ran out while we were there, so you'll need to bring those. Three of the six dining chairs need repair with some wood glue, with one being dangerously close to the front legs breaking away from the frame. It would be helpful to have a small vacuum as well as more places to hang swimsuits and towels to dry after a day at the beach/pool. If you can, bring your own pillows - those provided were hard and flat. Overall, we had a good stay and would recommend the condo with the caveats that it is in need of several repairs and that it's a hassle to go up/down the elevator, so be prepared.
