A group of restored farmhouses: the essence of true Sicilian rural life. This large estate is divided into three colonial-style houses, each with its own outdoor space, garden with swimming pool and sea view. The property is located just two kilometres from Fiumefreddo, a small village at the foot of Mount Etna overlooking the Ionian Sea, halfway between Catania and Taormina.

A patio with a large dining table for 14 people is located between the houses, overlooking the orange grove, the sea and the pool.

The large, elegantly designed pool blends perfectly with the terraces and lawn buildings. There are numerous shaded areas for outdoor dining and relaxation, enjoying the view of the surrounding countryside and the sea.

The property is the perfect place to combine beach life with the tranquillity of a country estate. Villa Cedro can accommodate 10 people: the ground floor houses a spacious living/dining room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a single bedroom. On the upper floor are three double rooms, a twin room and a single room, all with two shared bathrooms.

The house has a private barbecue and terrace. Weekly cleaning and linen change are included in the price. Daily maid service and a chef are available on request. An outside laundry is available for washing and ironing. For those travelling with small children (under the age of two), a cot and high chair are available free of charge. Guests are welcome to use herbs, fruit and vegetables from the property's organic garden.

The town of Fiumefreddo is an ideal base for exploring not only the volcano, but also the many interesting towns and villages. There are many excellent excursions and trails in the surrounding area: the baroque city of Noto, the quiet beaches of Vendicari and Capo Passero to the south and Messina to the north are all within easy reach for day trips.

Along the coast around Fiumefreddo, there are also charming fishing villages and several beaches, including Marina di Cottone, San Marco and Fondachello (to the south). Further north, near Taormina, there is a good selection of sandy and pebble beaches, rocky coves and caves: Mazzarò, Letojanni and Giardini-Naxos. Further south, towards Catania, are the charming towns of Riposto, Acireale, Aci Trezza and Aci Castello, where the coastline is rocky. An 18-hole golf course, Il Picciolo, is 10 km away, and there is an excellent tennis club, Circolo Tennis Le Rocce, in the small town of Mascali, about a 10-minute drive from the villa.

The property is surrounded by the scents and colours of 3 hectares of orange groves, which provide a beautiful natural backdrop to Mount Etna and the sea. You can swim or ski while admiring the sea or exploring the roads that wind through Etna's vineyards.
