We stayed in this home from July 24–26, and it was every bit as wonderful as the pictures! I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and well-maintained everything was.I only had to do a few very minor cleaning touch-ups upon arrival, but other than that, it was perfect for our family of nine. We especially loved the huge kitchen island—it was the perfect place to serve my birthday brunch and gather together. The home also had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay.My only suggestion would be to provide a few more extra blankets for guests.The location was quiet, peaceful, and exactly what we were looking for. We made so many wonderful memories here, and I would absolutely book this home again. Highly recommend!

Quick stay in this beautiful home. The home was clean and had everything we needed. Large living space and nice bathrooms. Would stay here again.

Overall the house is beautiful and very spacious for large families, but there are some problems with the listing that can’t go unmentioned. So I am giving lower rating. I don’t usually give poor ratings as long as I feel the host try’s to resolve issues but I think everyone should know if you book this house due to elevator access you should know it doesn’t work or it’s blocked for renter usage. I’m not sure which is true but we specifically booked this house because it had elevator that would allow me to bring my elderly mom and mother-in-law. I even confirmed in writing that the elevator access was available with this booking the week prior to our arrival then once we arrived, the elevator would not work, and we reached out to the host and were told that it was out of service. I explained that we would have to make other arrangements for my mother-in-law since she could not climb stairs the host responded that they would try to see if they could get someone out to repair it. I had to find a hotel for my mother-in-law for our entire trip , which was an expense I was not expecting. The host did not offer any reimbursement. We never received any updates about the elevator repairs. There are multiple entries in the guest book dating back as much as five years ago that every guest states that the elevator was not working the listing should remove the elevator if it’s not included for usage of rental of this home. We also found no remotes for any upstairs room TV.

Fabulous property, so well presented. We had a great time, we will be back for sure. The only complaint I had was the lack of towels but everything else was fabulous.

Annual stay

We stayed at this house before for our annual family trip and enjoyed it, unfortunately this year not so much. We were told cleaning was done so we could check in a couple of hours early but when we arrived, the house was not very clean. Last year, we had access to the garage which included an additional fridge, cornhole, fishing poles, etc and this year it was not accessible. Multiple roaches inside (I understand we are by the water and some bugs will be around but would think frequent pest control inside may help—not something we wanted to see in the kitchen and crawling around our bedrooms. One of the thermostats did not work causing one of the rooms to stay pretty warm. Some towel hangers and other fixtures around the house were loose or broken. Unsure if we will be returning.

If this had been reported during your stay, we would have promptly arranged for pest control to address the issue. In terms of amenities, we want to clarify that the garage is no longer accessible, and we apologize for any confusion compared to your prior visit. Regarding the maintenance concerns, we appreciate you bringing these to our attention. During your stay, we were informed about one towel bar being down, and we understand you did not want to be responsible for it. At this time, all thermostats are functioning properly, so we’re sorry for any discomfort you experienced and any confusion there. We truly regret that your stay fell short this time and appreciate your honest feedback, as it helps us continue to improve. We would value the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience should you choose to stay with us again.

The house was clean, modern and furnished for comfort. However, the mattresses on the trundle bed in the bunk room need to be replaced to be used by adults.

Great house

This was our second stay at this house and we absolutely love this house. It's spacious. It's the perfect location for everything we needed. Very quiet neighborhood which was a plus for us.

Nice House need some work for such a beautiful property lots of little things broken. The outdoor furniture needs to be cleaned covered in bird poop was not usable. The concrete down stairs needs to be pressure washed cover in algea very slick when wet. House was clean. Communication with Vacasa was terrible almost 24 response time and had to be relayed to local manager.

We had a great stay. The house was exactly like the photos and in a great location. It is very scenic around the house but it is near some marshes so there are mosquitos.

Working vacation

We loved the house it was very comfortable for the 4 of us. Each room had its own bathroom which we loved! We had a little issue getting into the house but it was fixed within minutes. Would love to go back!

Destination Girls Trip

PERFECT space for 10 of us to gather. Loved the porches, living space, plenty of bathrooms, large table to sit around and quiet neighborhood yet close to all that Galveston has to offer for activities.

Beautiful wedding getaway

Blue Pelican was the perfect setup for 3 adult couples and our new 6 month grandbaby to spend the week for an upcoming weekend. Bedrooms and adjoining bathrooms were large and comfortable and we all felt as if we had the master suite! Living areas and kitchen spacious and lovely views from every window. Highly recommend

Relaxing family vacation.

The elevator saved us, especially because we traveled with our aging mother who otherwise would have really struggled with all the stairs! Beautiful home, great spot for a family vacation! Thank you Blue Pelican!
