Otter rock

We arrived in dark, after long workday and drive to find house very cold and no heat on. Some items not functioning however property manager responded immediately. She even came to unit that evening. Most items were able to be corrected. Of note the unit is in need of updating. Smelled musty on arrival but aired out quickly with running heat. Overall clean given age of unit. All that being said when I woke up in am and walked to deserted beach it was worth any inconvenience we encountered on arrival. Overall a very enjoyable weekend and responsive property manager.

Amazing stay

We reserved our cabin, # 5, along with 5-6 others for our family so we could all be together at our wedding ceremony during the last week in August. # 5 was wonderful, roomy, spacious and CLEAN!!! We were all very (extra family included) pleased with the cleanliness as well as all the kitchen needs and all the extra bathroom towels! However, the BEST part of our stay was Lance, the property grounds keeper and manager. He was VERY attentive to our needs even to the extent of helping us up the hill with all of our wedding things, extra food, tables etc.!. He’s our families new best friend and we all look forward to our next stay and saying hello to Lance!!! He was amazing!

Beautiful Beachside Chalet

The chalet was a little dated but very clean and comfortable. The location is impossible to beat! It was a short walk to a beautiful beach. We pretty much had a mile stretch of beach all to ourselves! Highly recommend this property.

Great little get away

My friends and I needed a dog friendly spot to stay for the weekend and this little gem was just what we were looking for! Easy beach assess, a little hose to clean off our pups. Cozy accommodations that made our stay all the more enjoyable! We also appreciated that it was just a little way a outside of Newport, less crowded. Definitely would stay here again!

Cute Vacation cottage

Very clean. Nicely stocked. It was a little musty but cleared up after a little airing out. Lovely path to the amazing beach. Very well kept property. I would definitely book this again. Internet was a little spotty but we made it work.

Nice place and right near the beach

This little place was nice and so close to the beach. Everything looked clean and was great
until the middle of the night when an awful screeching noise occurred twice. The next morning it happened again and we realized it was the refrigerator. Wondering if it was the motor/compressor or something like that. Anyway, did it intermittently the rest of the stay. Hope they’ll have that looked at. Scared us all in the middle of the night. Otherwise, great place and we plan on using again on future trips.

Nice but Mice in #5

We like the Chalets, have stayed here for over 20 years and will be back. These A-frames are quaint, small, but nice. Don’t be expecting the Marriott or even a Holiday Inn and you will be ok. I must say we were a bit put off by the 4 mouse traps and 1 dead mouse rotting in the kitchen cabinet, but at least they were correcting the situation.

Just what we wanted

The beach was big and beautiful if that is one of your requirements. The pictures online were very accurate with no surprises. No washer/dryer or tub (tricky with small kids); but, that's okay because it was not unexpected. Cozy--had a great time.

Alpine Chalet #5

Loved the location and charm of Alpine Chalet #5. It was exactly what we were looking for and the private beach access was an added bonus. The landscaping and grounds were beautifully taken care of. The only drawbacks were: 1. All the beds and pillows were very old and uncomfortable 2. When we arrived the Chalet had an old food like smell like a senior center cafeteria Otherwise it was a relaxing stay and we'd definitely recommend it and stay there again but bring a mattress toppers and put own pillows 😊

Great Oregon Coast Chalet

We loved the cabin it was cozy and had everything we needed to have a great stay. We enjoyed using the fire pit to roast hot dogs. The trail.down to the beach was beautiful but if you have health problems or elderly the walk is too difficult and might prove to be dangerous if walking alone. We also had a sink in the upstairs bathroom sink was clogged and sis not drain for our entire stay. Otherwise the view, beds and living room were very comfortable. We loved it. Thank you.

Rough start, but great stay

It's a rustic A-frame cabin with plenty of space to move around, cook meals, see the ocean, and relax. It had plenty of space for our family of 4 and 2 little dogs. The place wasn't yet cleaned for some reason at check-in, so "Rose" from Vacasa was sure to quickly rectify the situation and put us at ease. Afterall, this was our first trip away from home in well over a year due to COVID, and she saved the day/trip for us for sure.

Dirty and poorly maintained

The house was quite dirty. The furnishings are "dog-eared" and some literally unusable or broken. The kitchen lights were covered with grease. A lot of cutlery was missing. There were extra pillows we would like to have used but they had no cases. Unrelated to the building itself the beach was covered with oil slick and millions of tiny bits of plastic. The check out time is 10 AM unlike most rentals/hotels where you are allowed to stay until noon. Not a pleasant experience.

Christmas at the beach

Loved this home. Warm and cozy place to spend Christmas. Would be 5 stars but the cleanliness was poor. Needs some deep cleaning especially in the kitchen area. Other than that we had a great time and would recommend.

great location!

Beach access is a fun short stroll through the woods. Very quiet beach, fun for kids to explore. We did all our meals in the Chalet, the kitchen is small but had everything we needed. Adorable small oven, but still fits a casserole dish!

Great location but...

This property was a bit of a disappointment. It’s a cute little place and the beach was fabulous. Kids had a blast on boogie boards and beach access was easy. However, upon opening the door, we were surprised at how musty the place smelled. It aired out a bit, but the main bedroom was kind of dank smelling all weekend. The bathroom was just plain icky: damp smelling, a mildewed shower curtain and the corners had an accumulation of dirt/dust. It was cleaner than a gas station bathroom, but not as nice as Macdonald’s. We feel like we overpaid for the quality we got.

Alpine chalets

The location and proximity to the beach was really great. The only thing is the owners need to update a lot of stuff. The mattresses were super uncomfortable and the sheets really scratchy. All of the pots and pans are really old and you can't even use the washer and dryer that's in the unit!
