First and foremost, 4WD or AWD is def needed in winter conditions. The driveway is steep, but not imaginably so. When we arrived, it was covered with snow. But, we made it into the driveway just fine.
The cabin itself was a lot larger than I originally expected, but that was fine! The Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, flatware, and other cooking supplies. The countertops were absolutely gorgeous, as well! The only bed we used was in the Master bedroom, and we slept comfortably on it. It's more of a Medium soft / Soft. There are a lot of windows which give natural light during the day time, and also help heat the cabin, so if you'd like to enjoy the views during your stay, make sure to open them once in a while to take a look!
I'd also like to note that Durango is actually about 30 minutes south of you. So make sure to grab your essentials, otherwise you'll have to drive 30 mins to the nearest town. There is a gas station right at the bottom which does have some essentials, and isn't too badly overpriced... but it does not have everything!
The only complaint I have is Cameras on the property. There is nothing mentioned in the listing of the property, or the Documentation that is sent to you about Cameras being on the property. It does make you feel a bit awkward, and watched.
Other than that, we enjoyed our stay at this cabin for our Honeymoon! We got to visit a few local bars, and national monument sites in that region.
Until next time!
