OBS: 4WD / AWD krävs på vintern (Thanksgiving till slutet av mars).

Vårt 4 000 kvadratmeter stora hem ligger knappt 2 tunnland och har 4 sovrum och 3. 5 badrum och ligger bara 1 mil från Durango Mountain Resort (Purgatory).

Little Cascade Creek går intill fastigheten och det är bara 10 minuters promenad till Columbine Lake. Hemmet ligger på en kraftigt treplats som erbjuder integritet och avskildhet. Det finns också ett par små historiska gruvhytter (obebodda) på fastigheten som bidrar till charmen.

Det stora sovrummet ligger på bottenvåningen och det finns ytterligare två sovrum på övervåningen. Garaget omvandlades precis till ett spelrum som innehåller ett Ping Pong-bord, 46 'HD-TV med Apple TV och PS3 med flera spel samt brädspel etc. och en drottning och utdragbar soffa och ett andra sovrum med fullt badrum. Loftet med utsikt över huvudytan har 2 enkelsängar. Allt detta gör huset perfekt för flera familjer.

Huset var fullt möblerat 2014 och är fullt möblerat och utrustat med sängkläder, handdukar, köksredskap och köksredskap.

Det huvudsakliga bostadsområdet innehåller en vedspis (ved tillhandahålls), katedraltak och en öppen planlösning och en Apple TV med massor av onlineinnehåll.

Det finns också en gasgrill på däck, tvättmaskin / torktumlare och en 17 'kanot och 2 kajaker för din användning (tillsammans med livvästar).

Winter wonderland

Grateful for the four wheel drive advance notice the weather in town vs the property and ski area vastly different. The snow was magical like a Christmas card until you have to back up the driveway in it. Overall we had a great time we improvised to remove snow with a dustpan as no shovel was to be found. The hot tub was a plus after a day snowboarding.

The floors are heated, it is cozy, and it is the perfect property on which to take family pictures.. The kids enjoy sledding, the teens loved the hot tub, and the adults just love being able to play games and puzzles around the table. We always make a trip or two into Durango and always buy permits to cut down our Christmas trees. The beds could be more comfortable but other than that, we love it.

Fantastic Cabin, Poor Upkeep

Best Ski Trip Cabin (8 night stay)

The house was actually nicer than the photos. Although it's not a huge house, we had plenty of room for everyone (14 guys) to hangout on the main floor because of the open floor plan and high ceiling. Between the couches in the living area, the large dining table, and the bar stools around the kitchen island, there is more than enough seating and space for 15 adults without feeling like you are on top of each other. The basement is also a nice large space. The best part by far is how close Purgatory resort is. Being able to wake up 45 minutes before the lifts start and, without rushing, comfortably make it in line before they start taking people up is an awesome amenity. We also went up to Silverton Mountain to ski which was only a 45 minute drive. We can in the last week of March, and even though 5-10 minutes away from the cabin there was next to no snow, when we got the the cabin there was still multiple feet of snow all over which was awesome to see. The cabin is tucked around the back of a steep hill, so it feels very secluded and private even though it's right off the highway. The Nugget Bar being within walking distance was a great feature too. Lot of fun was had in that place. Overall, especially for the price compared to other places, this is an incredible place to stay. I will definitely be looking to book this place again the next time I want to ski in this area.

Large cabin close to Purgatory Resort

Large cabin with plenty of room for a large family/group. We had 2 families with teenagers and there was plenty of room for privacy and a large area downstairs for games and recreation. We loved the hot tub experience after long days of skiing. The only problem we had was we were unable to get the upstairs television to work. The Apple TV remotes wouldn’t work so we had to just air drop our own movies from our iPad to watch the TV. Definitely need 4WD vehicle if you are visiting during the snow season. Overall it was a good experience.

Perfect location for outdoor activities

Family members from Illinois and Missouri joined us to experience the beauty of SW Colorado. The mountain home easily accommodated all 13 of us. The home was spacious, clean, and nicely appointed with amenities such as a hot tub, barbeque grill, and ping pong table. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Cool place

Property was more than expected. Beautiful place to stay with three floors for multiple rooms to enjoy and be together but also have your own space. Love the mountain neighborhood that is located in. We stayed in June and there was still some snow on the high mountains but it was very cool and green all around.

Perfect house for our family ski vacation

This house was perfect for the kids and adults.It was super close to Purgatory resort and provide space and relaxation for all when not skiing. Our grandchildren loved playing in the snow or downstairs and everyone enjoyed the hot tub!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and took advantage of all the luxuries afforded by this wonderful home. Property management was excellent and easy to communicate with. One caveat; when they say 4-wheel drive or all-wheel with snow tires or chains is required in winter months, they mean it! The driveway is tricky and doesn't get much sunshine. A slight trade-off for all the fresh snow we received while staying. We will book again!

Nice mountain hey away

The cabin was nice and over looked the mountains literally less than 5 minutes from the ski resort. If I had to give any kind of negative remarks it would be that chemicals were needed for the hottub and the fan didn't work in the main floor master bedroom, the porch was not cleared of snow and was very slick and there was no place to turn vehicles around. These were very minor inconveniences and our stay was great. We will be back.

Converted garage was great with ping pong table and second master suite. Cleaning service must have forgotten to clean the 3rd floor(bed in room with trundle only had a waterproof mattress cover, no sheets. Spare sheets and blankets were covered in pet hair as was roomba vacuum on main level. Mosquitoes will carry you away and limited our time outside around the home. Overall a great stay and would return.
