Avalon Rom är en totalrenoverad lägenhet i centrala Rom. Med två vackert dekorerade sovrum, ett stort och bekvämt vardagsrum / matsal och ett fullt utrustat kök och badrum, är Avalon perfekt för 2-6 gäster.
Lägenhetens läge kunde inte vara mer centralt för att besöka Rom. I en riktning tar en 5/10 minuters promenad dig till det hisnande Roman Forum och Colosseum, samt till Colle Oppio-parken (kullen där kejsaren Nero byggde sitt gyllene palats för 2000 år sedan.) En 10 minuters promenad i den andra riktningen tar dig till centralstationen, där tåg går timmar till Florens, Venedig, Neapel och Amalfikusten. Två tunnelbanestationer ligger också inom 10 minuters promenad från Avalon: Linje A tar dig på några minuter till de spanska trappan med sina ojämförliga butiker samt till St. Peters torg och det sixtinska kapellet. Endast två hållplatser på linje B tar dig till den majestätiska Circus Maximus, där antika romare under tidigare årtusenden arrangerade vagnstävlingar. Linje B i tunnelbanan tar dig också till de vanliga tågen till Ostia, där du på bara trettio minuter kommer fram till havet för att besöka ruinerna i Ostia Antica eller äta en lugn skaldjurslunch på stranden.

Great tips from the family not just for Rome but for other Italian cities as well. We utilized all the recommendations. One of our favorite meals came from the list.Quite close to the Metro and main train station, so it made it easy to go on day trips.

Perfect location

Sal was amazing and met us at the apartment to give us a brief orientation and suggestions of things to do, places to go and things to see. He was available and responsive to our requests and helped us have an amazing experience in Rome.

Rome apartment near Colliseum

Apartment was as advertised. It was clean, afforadable and within walking distance of historic sites. There was an Irish pub down the street, which we thoight was funny being in Rome.

Perfect Apartment and Stay in Rome

This apartment is perfectly situated away from the main congestion of Rome. It is close to bothe the A and B lines of the metro. Metro stations are located just a few minutes walk away. The apartment is clean and well appointed. The neighborhood has incredible restaurants and bars (coffee and pastry shops). Sal was easy to communicate with and even arranged for a car to pick us up from the airport. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Rome.

Hidden Gem in Rome

Best host you could want when booking a rental. Great little restaurant nearby and very convenient walk to Colosseum which was are main reason for visiting.

Terrific location

We really enjoyed our two week stay. The apartment was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well appointed and the shower had great water pressure. There was no TV however the wifi was fantastically fast so we could stream shows on our iPhone. Salvatore was very responsive to anything we asked. Highly recommend.

This location was perfect to visit all the sites. The property was very clean and had most of the things that we needed to make our trip comfortable. We loved the coffee shop for morning coffee and pastry. Area felt safe and had a nice vibe. Would stay again.

Perfect location

Always look for a place that has a great location and this place didn’t disappoint, easy to find and walking distance from train station. Also very close to all major attractions. Property manager, Salvatore was great with communication. Would stay here again!

Excellent location

We had a wonderful experience staying at this VRBO. Salvatore was extremely helpful even weeks before we arrived. The place is in a great location for you to walk to all the sites of Rome and multiple restaurants. Would definitely stay again if we were ever in Rome.

clarifying the location of the apartment

From the picture, the place looks like there is natural light coming into it. In fact, this place is on the ground/ first floor of a 7/8 story building looking out on the bottom of a very narrow utility courtyard. It is like living in a dark, humid cave, so either heat or AC and lights are necessary at all times. This is the main issue that should be clearer in the advertising of the apartment.

Perfect stay for family of 4 in Rome

We are a family of four - parents and two teens - and Sal’s place was fantastic and very clean. We loved the communication pre-stay and Sal was so helpful. The place is a short and beautiful walk from the forum and the coliseum but in a great neighborhood with great restaurants.

Nice place with even nicer people

We stayed 2 nights and had the opportunity to meet Sal as well as Jackie who works for Sal ( both very welcoming and full of local knowledge ) The place is very clean and close to metro so easy to get around This is a great area to stay in if you want to escape the tourist areas and have a more local peaceful experience when done touring all day

Wonderful location

My husband, 7-month-old son and I had a wonderful stay. The apartment was lovely and in the center of everything. We walked everywhere and hit all the major sights—even with a stroller in tow. Very thoughtful and accommodating hosts!

Great hospitality

The apartment was great and was in a convenient location. The hospitality was what really set the stay apart. Salvatore arranged for transportation from the airport, connected us to a wonderful tour guide and suggested some excellent restaurants near the apartment. We had an amazing first trip to Rome!

Great Accommodations in a Great Location!

Our stay at the Avalon was very enjoyable. Salvatore communicated with us before the trip with suggestions on where to go and even helped us secure transportation to the apartment. Check-in was very easy and Tommy explained everything thoroughly. I highly recommend The Avalon as it is very close to everything and the place is very comfortable.

We bought the property at the beginning of 2014 and remodeled it thinking of what we appreciate when we travel: beauty, cleanliness, central location. On foot you can reach all of the important sites of Rome, from the Roman Forum to the churches of Santa Maria Maggiore and the Colosseum. We loved the idea of sharing with others the beauty of the landmarks of Rome and also the neighborhood spots that many tourists miss.

We fell in love with this apartment because it is perfectly located in the middle of a busy city, while at the same time peaceful. Because it is on an internal courtyard, it is a kind of quiet oasis. The decor of The Avalon brings together Italian beauty and American comfort.
