Perfect Getaway

Our stay was absolutely amazing!! Had an issue with the water, but was fixed in a timely manner. Since I’m a Chef, the kitchen was perfect except I would suggest having a few more utensils such as a whisk, rubber spatula and larger skillets. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

We had a wonderful time. The house was very accommodating and clean. Dog friendly I give it 10 stars. Our dog loved looking out the door and tracking the deer tracks. Thank you for a memorable weekend. We will definitely be back.

Family Vacation

This house is awesome! Very Clean, location was great. Plenty of room as we were not falling over each other, played plenty of games and cards which were provided. Spent a lot of time on very spacious porch with the whole family just talking after dinner. We brought our own boat which we docked there, and the guys went fishing every day! I spent time on the dock just sitting and reading by the water, very peaceful! It was a great week!

The property was amazing. Anything we needed was provided (we even were in the lake and said how nice it’d be to have pool noodles, go and look in the garage and she has them!) and the host was very nice and communicative. We’ve all agreed that we’ll be back next year!

Family vacation

This property was excellent! It literally had everything and beyond what we were expecting. The house was very clean and had all the supplies again beyond what was expected. We had a few days with rain so the large garage was great to play games in along with picnic tables that was under roofing to keep us dry was very convenient. I would definitely recommend this property and Kim was extremely prompt and a pleasure to communicate with when we had questions. Consider this property for your next get away!

Absolutely wonderful place. Fun, kitchy, cool, lux, cozy interiors. Picturesque views both lakeside and backyard. Extras everywhere. Kim was lovely to work with, responsive and helpful. The only thing we were missing was more time!

Home away from home

We were looking for a nice peaceful place to relax and we definitely found it. From waking up each morning to the beautiful view, to spending the day kayaking and then end it with a cozy fire all by the lake, it was perfect.

Family Holiday

Perfect cottage on a small lake

Loved the homely Christmasy feel. Comfortable, cosy and well appointed. The cottage, especially the kitchen is highly organised and well stocked. Kim has thought of everything!

Great stay at Blue Oar!

My mother in law loved her weekend getaway at the Blue Oar to celebrate her birthday. The house was very clean, nicely decorated, and had plenty of space for a family weekend. We spent an entire day using the outdoor amenties at the house. The fire pit, paddleboat, and kayaks were all great. If we are ever in the area again, we will absolutely come back!

Relaxing Lake Weekend

We had the best weekend at the Blue Oar. Was the best stocked VRBO I’ve ever seen, with every possible amenity and extra. I messaged the owner with several questions leading up to our stay, and Kim was immediate and helpful in her responses. The property was clean and impeccably decorated. We will absolutely be staying again!

Wonderful accommodations

The property is beautiful and extremely well-equipped. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was a joy to use to prepare our meals. There are numerous outdoor games, etc in the huge garage which we enjoyed using. Neighborhood was lovely and a nice place to walk and ride bikes . My family wants to return again next year.

I drove by this house in the summer of 2013 and knew I had to renovate it into something beautiful! The area is a quiet gem that guests find very relaxing. Its a low key residential family-friendly community. I hope you enjoy it!!

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

This area is so quiet and beautiful and the people of this small Western NY small town are so nice! I fell in love instantly as I'm sure you will too. In the summers, drive to Bemus Point on Chautauqua Lake and have drinks at the Hotel Lenhart in the rocking chairs on the porch and watch the sunset and then head over to The Fish or EBC for dinner. Saturdays are great days for beer tasting and live music at Southern Tier Brewery! Sundays are usually spent at The Blue Oar just relaxing and swimming in the lake. In the winter hit up Holiday Valley ski resort and then head to Ellicottville Brewery for drinks and dinner. Miles of groomed snowmobiling trails all throughout Chautauqua County! Tarbox Road Recording Studio is a 4 minute drive. Lily Dale is only a 4 minute drive. The Red House Wedding Barn is a 2 min drive. Check out the new 3 Lakes cafe right in town!
