We are a family of 4 with older teens. We came to visit New York City but also get out to the countryside and this was a perfect place for our family to relax after all the sightseeing in the big city! We enjoyed each having our own rooms and bathrooms. Towels/bedding was nice and soft. We would hike/bike in the morning by trails 20-30minuntes away and then come back to the house. Our family enjoyed all the activities we could do at the house in the evening- swim, hot tub, sit by the steam, ping pong, read and relax. The kitchen was small but had all the supplies to cook meals. We appreciated the supplies and soaps in kitchen/bathrooms. If your looking to relax out of the city... this home was perfect! Thank you for our stay!

Penny, we're so glad you chose Fern Hollow for your family vacation, and that you found it "perfect". The house is ideal for groups, given its separation into wings. You mentioned the kitchen: we provide all guests need to make great meals. And pro chefs have cooked yummy dinners in our kitchen. We look forward to seeing you again in Fern Hollow!

Amazing, large artist-type retreat. Great for our family getaway and being dog friendly is a huge plus for us. Minutes from Woodstock and not far from other attractions made for easy entertainment. We didn’t use the fireplace or pool, but did use the hot tub and it was great. All together, we really enjoyed our stay and Bill was great answering my questions and helping out when we needed it.
