Excellent stay

The cottage is located in a quiet rural location a short drive away from monpazier. It is very well equipped and has a lovely private pool and I would recommend this cottage if you want a ‘get away from it all’

Brilliant stay wih pool close to Montpazier

Compact clean and very friendly community . A private quiet stay close to nature. Lovely swim pool, which we enjoyed well into October!!

Good base to explore the Dordogne

The gite is ideally situated to explore all that the Dordogne has to offer. The pool area is well maintained with a good size pool and nice stone paving around it making it a lovely setting to relax in and take in the peace that surrounds you. Marie-Jose is welcoming and is on hand if you need her.

Fantastic Find

An excellent place for a restful and peaceful stay. Did not have to move too far from the property as all facilities within a 5 minute drive - a true blessing in the excessive heat! Cottage well maintained and swimming pool excellent. Hosts friendly and discreet and always wanting to please.. would highly recommend.

Beautiful gite

We had an amazing holiday in this beautiful gite. The accommodation was perfect and just as described. The wine, strawberries and pate were a lovely welcoming gift. My teenage boys loved the pool. The only thing to note is the water in the shower gets extremely hot very quickly but all in all we could really fault it. Wonderful stay and very welcoming hosts.

Fantastic peaceful location and accommodation

A perfect place to stay if you require a peaceful country holiday. Very clean accommodation with everything you need to enjoy your vacation. The swimming pool is amazing and overlooks the fields and countryside. 5-10 minutes away is the town of Monpazier which is a simply stunning. Its medieval centre is preserved almost completely intact, and it is quite possibly the best of all the bastide town we visited. Great bars, restaurants and small artisan shops. The hosts are lovely and they have beautiful gardens surrounding the gite and their home. Highly recommended

Séjour fantastique dans un cadre naturel magnifiqueLa maison est idéalement située en pleine nature, avec un charme authentique qui s’harmonise parfaitement avec l’environnement.Les bâtiments annexes et les alentours renforcent encore le caractère du lieu. La piscine est une véritable atout visuel : bien entretenue, propre et parfaite pour se détendre.Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par la propriétaire, Marie-Josée, qui est restée très disponible et attentionnée tout au long de notre séjour.Tout est parfait ici. En un mot : super !

Wir haben uns 2 Wochen super wohlgefühlt, obwohl das Wetter nicht immer das Beste war. Das lag zum einem an der atmosphärischen Unterkunft, der herrlichen Aussicht, dem schönen Pool und der Ruhe.Zum anderen aber auch, an Marie Jose, die unkompliziert ist, die Privatsphäre respektiert und dennoch jederzeit ansprechbar ist..Unser Verhältnis war sehr herzlich. Wir waren traurig bei der Abreise und möchten gerne wiederkommen.

Gorgeous stay in Montpazier

We had a lovely week in Marie-Jose’s cottage and it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The pool is a welcome break from the sun and is ideally positioned and well equipped. We loved being near the town with its bars and restaurants and the fields around the cottage provided peace in the evening to have as glass of wine as the sun set, listen to the birds of prey and watch the deer. The cottage is ideally positioned to explore the beautiful countryside and medieval towns nearby and only a short drive from the airport.

Lovely place in a great area

The property was lovely, very clean with all the equipment you need for a stay. The pool area was great. The owners were really helpful and communicative, they went out of their way to help us with things for our baby and we’re always very friendly when we saw them near the property. The place is about 30mins walk to the town which is doable but it is up a hill on the way back! All the nearby towns and area and lovely with lots of great wine tasting and restaurants. All the medieval towns are beautiful b

Fantastisch verblijf

Prima gites met een fantastisch zwembad helemaal privé. De eigenaren Marie-José en Jerome zijn zeer behulpzaam en laten zich niet zien als het niet nodig is. Een van onze hondjes had een tekenbeet: Marie-José ging meteen een dierenarts bellen en omdat het op zaterdagmiddag was, moesten we een eind rijden. Jerome wilde onze chauffeur zijn: helemaal top!

Gîte agréable.

Gîte sympathique, au calme, bien équipé et les propriétaires très accueillants. Le gîte construit en pierre est mieux adapté pour un séjour l'été que l'hiver car il est difficile le chauffer quand il fait froid.

Une location de rève avec une piscine magnifique, dans une région de rève...

IMPECCABLE... Il est très rare de trouver une si belle location avec une si belle piscine dans ces prix-là. L'endroit est reculé, à 100m de la route, juste à côté des propriétaires, ce qui n'est vraiment pas génant que du contraire (informations utiles, conseils de visite,...), et à 2 km de Monpazier. Alors, une piscine de 10m sur 5, rien que pour nous, on avait peine à y croire... Mais quand on l'a vue, c'était encore mieux. Super bien aménagée, très propre, éclairée le soir,... le rève!!! Juste un problème de parasol. Le pied étant très étroit, il tombe au moindre vent. Finalement, nous l'avons fixé à un piquet de la clôture. Le gite est très bien équipé, il n'y manque rien, parce que nous avons vécu à l'extérieur. Si nous avions du rester à l'intérieur, il pourrait y avoir un fauteuil un peu plus confortable... L'accueil des propriétaires est plus que chaleureux. Une bouteille de vin, du pâté de chevreuil, une bonne confiture maison pour nous accueillir, des bons conseils pour nous guider pendant le séjour, et une présence discrète pour que tout se bien. Et, cerise sur le gateau... Un endroit à l'abri pour mettre nos vélos pendant le séjour, et un grand abri aussi pour la voiture (à l'ombre, c'est un vrai point positif !!!) Bref, vraiment une location à conseiller sans hésiter.
