I was surprised and saddened to receive this review but I guess you can't please everyone. We can only learn from this experience and better ourselves. We have been hosting for many years and we pride ourselves in providing great care to our guests. Our guests' experience is genuinely important to us. When these guests arrived they called immediately and complained about the unit which was prepared the day before by my cleaning crew. The previous tenants, who stayed for two months, had my cleaning crew come every two weeks to clean this unit regularly. Upon my arrival I can see the frustration in my new tenants from their long trip and I was determined to do what I can. I immediately called back the cleaning crew and had them there within the hour. I asked them to please follow and do whatever the guests requested. The guests would not let them use any type of professional cleaning products. I had a bad feeling from the start and I shared with them that if they weren't completely satisfied I would be happy to offer them a FULL REFUND. They declined and I shared with them I would do whatever I can to make this a pleasant experience. I make sure we do a deep clean at the beginning of every season which usually starts in November and regularly check on the status of the unit during turnover during the season which usually ends in May. Additionally, I change out the pots and pans every season as well along with the linens. After they complained the sliding door was difficult to open, I immediately called a service person to get it resolved. Their response was they don't even use the screen door and they prefer not having people come in and out of the unit. I wanted to respect their wishes. We were able to get the screen door back to the unit when it was to their convenience. Unfortunately, when I offered to bring them a kettle or to choose one of their likings on one of their shopping days they declined. I called them several times during their stay to check in on them to see if there was anything they needed, to make sure they were enjoying their stay, have any questions, or if I can make any recommendations for restaurants or the such. Not once did they share with any issues or disappointing experiences. I truly wish I had the opportunity to address any issues during their stay instead of learning it through a review like this. I wish these guests well and we can only be more determined to make our next guest's experience excellent.
