Villa Andorinha är en stor ny villa i Alma Verde-anläggningen, som har vunnit många prestigefyllda priser, inklusive årets Homes Overseas Gold-pris (2006) för bästa hållbara utveckling. Villan är idealisk för familjer med barn i alla åldrar, med den uppvärmda poolen med en stor ytlig yta (50 cm) i ena änden så att småbarn kan njuta av poolen och saltvattenklorering, vilket avsevärt minskar hudirritation och brinnande ögon. Villan är vackert inredd och har en rymlig öppen planlösning som leder ut till den skuggade uteplatsen med grillmöjligheter och poolterrass med solstolar. Det finns TV med tillgång till 40 kanaler (inkl. Sky Sports och Sky Movies) och olika språk. En stor takterrass låter dig njuta av vacker utsikt över de omgivande kullarna och en glimt av Atlanten. Fantastiska blå flaggade stränder är inom räckhåll med bil.

Vardagsrum: Det stora öppna vardagsrummet har två stora soffor och en stol och har en platt-TV med 40 kanaler på engelska, franska, nederländska, tyska och portugisiska (inklusive Sky-sport och Sky-filmer), DVD med surroundljud och CD spelare.

Kust / stränder: Oändliga vackra, oroliga sandstränder och fantastiska vikar präglar västra Algarves kustlinje. Den charmiga fiskebyn Burgau ligger 5 minuters bilresa och har härliga strandbarer som serverar grillad fisk och andra traditionella portugisiska rätter. Många andra stränder ligger inom 10-20 minuters bilresa och väntar på att bli utforskade!

Resa: Alma Verde ligger 10 km väster om Lagos (100 km från Faro) på EN125. Med öppningen av den nya motorvägsförlängningen till västra Algarve är resan från Faro International Airport till villan nu bekvämt 60 minuter.
Lissabon och Sevilla flygplats är en 2 och en halv timmes bilresa; flyg till dessa flygplatser kan vara mycket billigare under högsäsongen.
Biluthyrning rekommenderas starkt för att få ut det mesta av omgivningen

Great Stay

The stay was very positive and excellent for those traveling as a family. The house corresponds to the description and the surrounding area is magnificent. Just two details: The house does not have AC as it says in the description The house is not fenced, important information for those who have dogs. Thank you very much!

Excellent villa location good but not great

The villa was brilliant, very child friendly although one major downfall was the lagoon doors not having any form of safety latch so my 2 and a half year old could let himself straight out of the doors or the patio and also out of the bedroom into the green which also led straight round the front of the house onto the road. Obviously we were watching and chasing the whole time but still would have been more relaxing if the doors had a lock or safety latch. We assumed we’d get a welcome pack telling us thing about the villa and local area but we didn’t. We paid for the pool heating which was a waste of money as we wernt informed thy we were supposed to cover the pool on a night to keep the heat in until we saw the pool cleaner a couple of days towards the end of the holiday. But although it sounds like we had issues they were only minor in the grand scheme of things. The villa was lovely and the towns were nice but no great for anyone wanting walking distance like us. You could walk it on a road side no pavements and with young children wasn’t the best. Also very windy but that was just our bad luck! Anyone looking for a lovely family villa this is great.

Superbe sejour !

C est la première fois que j allais dans la région de Lagos, d habitude c est plutôt dans la région de carvoeiro que nous allons et je dois dire que nous ne regrettons pas du tout notre choix ! La villa est très belle et le jardin est juste magnifique avec beaucoup d endroit a l ombre ou l’on peut se reposer en toute quiétude ! La villa est spacieuse et très fraiche a l intérieur. Nous avons eu un superbe contact avec la propriétaire ainsi qu avec Alma Verde qui gère la propriété. Enfin la région de Lagos est vraiment belle et moins touristique que le reste de l Algarve. Attention la villa n est pas complètement clôturé. Bref excellent séjour. Joseph

La villa es prefecta para una estancia en familia. El jardín es muy bonito y amplio la piscina muy apetecible. La comunicación en todo momento muy fluida y con mucha predisposición a ayudar. La casa muy cómoda y con todo lo que puedas necessitar para la estancia. Cuando volvamos a Algarve seguro que repetiremos!

Lovely villa in a great location

The villa was ideal for our party of 4 and would easily accommodate 4 adults, 2 young children & baby for example, but in my opinion the lounge seating area and the pool would not accommodate for example a party of 4 adults with 2 or 3 older children. Whilst the villa is all on one level and has a stair gate to the roof terrace, it is not designed for the adventurous 3+ year old as all the windows and the doors to the pool area can be opened from the jnside, which presented us with a real problem as our 6 year old has some special needs and is able to climb and escape from any opening. We had been advised in 2 emails that all doors and windows could be locked which is why we preceded with the booking. Upon our arrival and discovering that our son could easily climb out of the bedroom window and leave the grounds of the property we contacted the management company, who to start with were a little dismissive and unhelpful, but fortunately for us Carola stepped in and within hours of raising the problem had sorted it by removing the handles from the windows in the bedroom our son was using and checking with us that other exit points could be locked. From then on we could not fault the helpfulness of Carola, she went out of her way to ensure that we enjoyed our stay, cancelling the gardeners as our son is autistic and gets very stressed by loud noises and unexpected visitors, offering us respite if we needed to go out for an hour, we really could not have had a more helpful and understanding person looking after us. The villa was well equipped and spacious for us, the only minor issue were the small, cheaply fitted shower cubicles, such a lovely villa should really have walk in showers. The pool was lovely although beware of a very rough floor, our son grazed his feet a number of times, also the close proximity of 2 pine trees meant on windy days the pool would be covered in pine needles. Because of Carola we had a very enjoyable stay, the location was perfect with a supermarket minutes away and the lovely beach at Burgau. We would probably consider returning for another holiday as once the safety of our son was dealt with, we were able to relax and enjoy our stay in a peaceful setting.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt im Juli

Alles in allem ein sehr schönes Domizil in einer sehr gepflegten Anlage. Einziges Manko unsererseits ist, dass man für alles (Einkäufe, Bäckerei etc.) immer das Auto nehmen muss. Eventuelle Anregung wäre, dass zumindest am Morgen ein Backwarenverkauf stattfinden könnte (kann ja auch mobil sein). Ansonsten immer gerne wieder

Exceeded our high expectations!

We (4 adults, 4 children, and 2 babies) stayed in this beautiful villa for Easter holidays. It fitted our needs perfectly, with lots of unexpected extras (stair gate, buckets and spades, pool toys) that made a holiday with so many little ones easier and more fun. The kitchen is very well equipped, the garden large, and the pool perfect for children, closed off by a lockable gate from the outdoor dining area and with a shallow end and deep end. The villa itself has a touch of luxury that doesn't often come with a child-friendly environment. The surrounding area is lovely with beautiful beaches and villages and towns for visiting. The most peaceful, relaxing and fun holiday we've had as a family!

Great house with excellent pool & garden

We stayed at the end of October / start of November. The house is very spacious (although there were only 5 of us) & well equipped. The pool (with paid for heating) was warm enough for the children to spend hours in at a time. The garden is very sheltered & not overlooked with ample room for the children to play. It's a bit to far to walk anywhere from the villa, especially if with children so it's a short drive to any restaurants or shops. Local beaches (5-10 mins away) are excellent & shops are 10-15 mins away by car. The villa is located in a development of other holiday villas, well away from the main road so no traffic noise at any time of day. There's a selection of books, DVDs, children's games & pool toys so no need to pack these items! A very comfortable villa & the terrace (great for dining outside), large garden & excellent pool make it perfect for family holidays. (2 families of 4 could comfortably stay - all 4 bedrooms quite spacious)

Wonderful , modern villa in a great location

I stayed in that villa for a 10 days in October and I had my best holiday ever. The property is really gorgeous , very comfortable with heated pool so my son enjoyed swimming . My family spent lots of time on the fantastic terrace, enjoying sun and BBQ. The beds were very comfortable and we had the best nights sleep ever. I would highly recommend villa Andorinha to anyone who is looking for top quality accommodation in a lovely area in the Algarve. Szczerze polecam tą villę na wakacje. Super miejsce, bardzo spokojne osiedle pięknych domów. Villa jest naprawdę czysta, przestronna I bardzo wygodna. Basen podgrzewany , więc bez względu na porę dnia I temperaturę moglismy relaksować się w wodzie. Przepiękne plaże I mnóstwo miejsc do zobaczenia. Rewelacja!!! Naprawdę warto spędzić w tej willi urlop. Gwarantuję pełne zadowolone. Justyna

Traumvilla für einen Traumurlaub an der Algarve

Wir waren im Sommer 2016 für zwei Wochen an der Algarve und hatten uns in der wunderschönen und sehr ruhigen Ferienanlage Alma Verde, ca. fünf Kilometer von netten Badeort Burgau entfernt, in der Vila Andorinha 93 eingemietet. Bei unserer Ankunft lernten wir sogar noch kurz die rührigen Eigentümer aus London kennen, die das Haus architektonisch perfekt geplant und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet haben sowie sich zudem regelmäßig persönlich um alle Instandhaltungen kümmern, so dass es uns an nichts fehlte. In einer schöneren Ferienvilla haben wir bislang noch nicht gewohnt. Alles sehr geräumig, vier Doppelzimmer, drei davon mit eigenem Bad und Toilette, eine riesige Komfortküche mit Waschmaschine, Mikrowelle, Toaster und Geschirrspüler - und alles top in Schuss. Die Bettwäsche wird von der herzlichen Rezeption um die charmante Carola einmal pro Woche gewechselt, die Handtücher sogar zweimal. Viel Gepäck muss man daher nicht mitnehmen, Geschirr und Küchenutensilien ohnehin nicht, dazu stehen ein Bügeleisen mit Bügelbrett zur Verfügung. Und man kann im angrenzenden, offenen Wohnzimmer sogar unter rund 30 TV-Programmen wählen, darunter auch deutsche, französische und zahlreiche englische Kanäle. Und einen Kinderhochstuhl gibt es auch noch. Ein Traum neben der zusätzlichen Sonnen-Terrasse im ersten Stock ist jedoch der riesige und von den Besitzern persönlich angelegte Garten mit einem wunderschönen, stets von dem Service-Personal zu gereinigten und auch für Kinder geeigneten Pool. Wehende Palmen und Blumen in bunter Vielfalt geben einem das Gefühl, hier am rechten Urlaubsfleck zu sein. Rund um den Süsswasserpool stehen acht moderne Sonnenliegen zur Verfügung, auf der mit einem Sonnensegel überspannten Terrasse haben zudem locker bis zu zehn Personen Platz am ausziehbaren Tisch. Wie gesagt: in dieser Ferienvilla mit zwei Autostellplätzen, einer Alarmanlage und WLAN fehlt es an nichts, sogar an einen Weber-Kugelgrill für Holzkohle mit Grillbesteck wurde gedacht. In kurzer Zeit sind darüber hinaus auch die traumhaften Algarve-Strände wie Burgau, Luz, Alvor, Dona Ana, Martinhal oder Ponta da Piedade mit dem Auto erreichbar, Städte wie Lagos, Sagres oder auch die etwas entfernteren Portimaio, Albufeira oder auch Faro können für kulturelle Abwechslung und Shopping sorgen. 5 Sterne dafür.

Fantastic Villa in Superb Location

We had a wonderful holiday staying at this villa, with 5 adults and 2 children aged 2 and 4 years old. It is situated within a peaceful complex of villas which includes a spa and children’s play area. The villa is spacious, clean, modern and nicely furnished with lovely open plan living area and a big well equipped kitchen. It is very child/toddler friendly with a stair gate across the stairs leading up to the roof terrace in the entrance hall. There is a lovely patio dining area for BBQs which overlooks the pool and garden area. Comfortable sun loungers around the pool, plus two more on the roof terrace. The pool has steps leading into the shallow end which is great for toddlers to splash around in. There was everything we needed and more with games, books, DVDs etc for children and adults plus an informative folder on places to visit and where to go. The garden and pool area is private and well maintained and there is room on the driveway to fit two cars. The drive from Faro airport took no longer than 1 hour and is along one direct motorway. The location is perfect for visiting Zoomarnina and exploring the south and south west coast which has lovely picturesque sandy beaches. We went to Odeceixe which has a river running alongside the beach and is great for paddling. A lovely beach nearby is Salema where you can find real dinosaur footprints in the rocks. A short 15 minute drive to the main town Lagos where there are lots of restaurants and a harbour. The was the most enjoyable and stress free family holiday we’ve had.

The most perfect villa!

We just returned from our 4th summer holiday at this villa and have just booked it again for next year (our 5th visit!) which says it all. We have 2 young children (aged 3 and 6) and adore the child friendly swimming pool which is warm enough to stay in for hours on end and cool enough to give you a refreshing break from the heat. The garden is beautiful with plenty of space for little (and big!) ones to enjoy. The beautiful large terrace is excellent for family BBQ's. Burgau (the village 5 mins drive away) is beautiful and not spoilt by tourism. The people you meet there tend to come back year after year as once you find out about it you don't want to go anywhere else. We have stayed in many villas and hotels in our time and not returned anywhere more than once except here. The villa is superbly equipped with all the home comforts you will need. It's a great find and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Great villa in lovely location

We stayed at this villa with 4 adults and 2 children under 2 and it was great. The villa is really well equipped, particularly in the kitchen. We paid for a heated pool and it was well worth the cost, we also paid for highchair and cots but when we arrived the cots hadn't been set up - after a brief chat to reception the cots were put up and made snug, in fact I was tempted to climb in myself! The reception staff were helpful throughout from booking to suggesting supermarkets and made our stay a lot easier. The location is great, some fabulous beaches very nearby and lovely restaurants within a short drive. Our only suggestion to improve is some stair gates outside to make the terrace a safe place to leave a toddler without worry about falling down steps or into the pool but that wasn't really a problem more a 'nice to have'. We even talked about coming back next year!

If you like peice and quite and a bit luxury

I picked this villa as we wanted to spend a week chiling by a nice pool and have every we would need to be self sufficient to hand, and thats what we got. The pool was not heated as we requested and it didnt need it, everything is finished to an excellent standard. You must have a car as there is not much in the nearest town but within 10 mins is everything you need to either stock up or eat out. I would have no hesitation in reccomending this villa, only 1 thing, they could do with bigger showers, they are not designed for the larger chap!

great family holiday

Had a superb holiday in this lovely spacious and beautifully furnished villa. This villa will suit everybody but is absolutely ideal for families with children and in particular smaller children, as everything is catered for. We had arrived with two families and the kids, of all ages, had a great time in the heated swimming pool. The shallow area was ideal for the smaller one and it was hard to get them out. Many thanks Michaela for all your very helpful information beforehand and prompt reply to any queries. 5 minutes from the beach in Burgau and very near to many other very varied beaches, this was a superb holiday. Sky sports and movies was great in the evening.Would thouroughly recommend this villa in a wonderful spot of the world. Catrin

Excellent Villa!

On behalf of all of our group I am writing to let you know that we all had a fantastic time at Vila Andorinha. We enjoyed many a lazy day by the pool and BBQs at night, the local beaches at Burgau, Luz and Lagos were all really nice and we discovered a brilliant restaurant which we went back to several times opposite the church in Luz which had amazing views looking out to sea. Our 2 girls loved the pool and the Charlie and Lola DVD's. We will be recommending the area and in particular your villa to everyone we know, especially those with small children. There was even some talk amongst our group about returning to the villa again next June as we all enjoyed it so much.

Luxury family-friendly villa

This villa is fantastic - especially if you have small children. High chairs, cots and even a selection of toys, books and DVDs are provided. The villa was spotlessly clean on our arrival and is also cleaned mid-week when towels and bed linen are changed. A nice touch. For us, the best bit about the villa is the pool. The heating meant that the kids could play happily at any time of the day, even in May. There is a huge shallow area which meant that they also had their own kid-safe zone to play in allowing the adults to relax. It is also cleaned mid-week. The villa is pretty much all on one level (with a stairgate blocking access to the roof terrace) meaning that we were able to let our toddler roam around without worrying about steps, etc. The complex has a great park and there are a multitude of gorgeous (child-friendly) beaches within a 5-25 minute drive. We seemed to have most of these pretty much to ourselves at the time of our visit in May. Within the villa, there is everything you could possibly need to eat in and the satellite package meant that we could catch more football than at home. The complex management team were welcoming, helpful and efficient.

Absolutely fabulous villa for families with kids

Dear Michaela, thank you so much for a wonderful holiday in your great villa. We arrived with two families and lots of children of various ages. Your instructions were very clear cut and we found the villa without problems. As soon as we opened the door we knew we would be in for a great holiday. The villa is superbly furnished and has everything that we needed for our children, from stairgates to bedguards, videos, toys etc. The highlight yet was the swimming pool particularly with the shallow end that was perfect for all the smaller kids. The very large garden was great for play and enjoyment. I was very impressed as well with your very helpful ongoing email correspondance and support right to the end. The beaches around this area are amazing and very varied and this holiday certainly offered something for everybody. We will certainly come back to what has been a really great holiday.
