Tyst exklusivt bostadskvarter och 10 minuters bilresa från Lagos centrum, vackra stränder, affärer, mysiga restauranger, förstklassiga golfbanor och vacker marina. Lokala vingårdar finns i närheten och besökare välkomnas. Portimao och Sagres, på Atlantkusten, ligger inom 20-30 minuters bilresa. Sovrum med luftkonditionering (avgift 150 GBP per vecka) och alla rum har golvvärme.(valfritt för vintern) Separat spelrum med biljardbord, bordtennis, dart, bordsfotbollsspel. Overall Very Good

Hosts very communicative and helpful, delivering us bottled water when we ran out. Large property in beautiful secluded location. Our only issue was the pool seemed a little dirty, despite the cleaner coming that day.

Great villa in a wonderful location

This is a beautiful Villa in a fantastic location. It is spacious with excellent outside areas and a great pool. It has lovely views out over the countryside from around the pool and from the balconies. The pool is beautiful and very large. It is situated several kilometres outside of Lagos, the countryside around is beautiful. You do need a car but it is only only about a10 minute drive to the outskirts of Lagos. The local taxi companies were also very reliable and reasonable . This was a last minute booking and David and Joanne the hosts were very helpful arranging the booking. We arrived earlier than the usual check-in time and Joanne could not have been more helpful with regard to our early arrival and stay in general. She was very friendly and informative. The villa itself is very attractive and the rooms are large and spacious. The master bedroom is gorgeous with large curved glass windows and a wraparound balcony looking out on a wonderful view.The villa is very private in a quiet location which suited us perfectly. We cannot wait to go back Nigel and Julie

Definitely in need of TLC. We felt somewhat cheated

It's probably fair to admit that if we had been able to, we would have turned right round and gone elsewhere when we first arrived at the villa. Tricky to find initially, there was a a large puddle in the driveway (there is was a seeping leak under this to be fixed after our stay apparently). Opening the door and everything looked - TIRED and worn. Some of the patio doors didn't lock, the electric blinds upstairs didnt work; there was no soap or toilet paper in the bathrooms, the microwave didn't work...you get the picture? The next mornig there was no water (they knew of an issue), 1 of the toilets didn't flush, the coffee machine jug was cracked and cut a hand. All in all we flagged a dozen issues to the owners. Fair is fair she responded to each with good grace and we were given a partial refund of 1 day as an apology and a box of delicious local cherries. The good: The pool (we had it pre-heated) was lovely and the setting gave a lovely scent Nice views from the balcony. We did make the best of our stay and after a torrid couple of days settled into a nice routine of pool tme and local trips. The owner is really helpful and responsive to quesries. But really there were so many issues with the villa that needed attention that it should not have been rented out and was no where near as good as the pictures suggested. It needs a lot of work to spruce it up. Once done it will be a nice place to stay if you want to get away from it all.

Uma vista e piscina maravilhosa!

A casa é enorme, fica afastada das outras casas, os proprietários moram ali perto mas com distância suficiente para ter privacidade. Ao chegar nos deparamos com uma limpeza muito deficiente, o salão de jogos parecia que não era limpo há anos, com pó e teias de aranha, a área da churrasqueira estava completamente suja, o chão da área da piscina estava imundo, a cozinha também, com gavetas e móveis sujos por dentro. Tivemos que tirar tudo e limpar para conseguir cozinhar e comer naquela cozinha. As duas camas extras eram insufláveis (para o 7.º e 8.º hóspede) estavam vazias e estragadas. Informamos aos proprietários que rapidamente compraram camas novas insufláveis, pouco confortáveis mas pelo menos sem furos e defeitos. E mandaram as responsáveis pela limpeza voltarem e limparem novamente, o que na verdade já havíamos limpo. Mas valeu a intenção. A casa apesar da decoração desatualizada tem boas áreas, quartos com casa de banho e roupa de cama branca e limpa, e uma piscina muito boa. Apesar do susto inicial com a limpeza tivemos dias muito bem passados nessa casa.

Absolutely Fabulous - we can't wait to rebook!

I stayed here with my wife and three kids (aged 13,12 and 11) over the October half term of 2017. It was,honestly, the best family holiday we have ever had. The villa is HUGE and provided everything we needed and the location is remote - with incredible views and tranquility - but still only a short drive to Lagos, and other wonderful little quaint villages and towns. The kids were in their element with the games room and the pool as areas that they never wanted to leave; we literally had to shoehorn them out of the pool everynight. The outside BBQ area was brilliant and we enjoyed a few bbq evening meals. So private, so perfect, so amazing. We were sad to leave and are in the process of rebooking to go back next year as we loved it so much. Love the place, can we move in permanently please?

Great family holiday

A lovely villa in a quiet and private hillside location with a distant sea view. The kitchen was well equipped, great indoor and outdoor space. The pictures and description on the website are all accurate. Good sized pool and outdoor space meant we didn't spend much time indoors, except for sleeping. Having David and Joanne nearby was reassuring and helpful. Lagos beautiful - recommend grotto boat trip! Would definitely recommend this villa and hope to return soon.

Wonderful family holiday!

David and Joanne greeted us on arrival with a cake and some wine, which was a very nice touch. Since they are neighbours to the villa it was comforting to know that they were at hand if we needed anything. The villa itself had everything we needed for our family of 6 and our boys loved the pool, hot tub and games room. It is well maintained and in a perfect private spot with a great view. Lagos is only a 10 - 15 minute drive away. We would love to return!

Dream villa on hill with a beautiful view

This is a beautiful villa, ready for any kind of vacation - relaxing, romantic, partying or family reunion. It is ideally located on a hill with no immediate neighbours, so you really get the feeling that you are alone and can completely disconnect from the daily hassle. The owners wished us a warm welcome with fresh cake and some wine. They live nearby and are very responsive so you can always ask them for help. The only disappointment was that not all the beds were made when we arrived and we found lots of hairs in the bathroom of the master bedroom. Also be sure to inquire beforehand about the hot tub if you would like to use it, it wasn't clear to us from the website description that 'optional' means 'ask us beforehand to turn on the cleaning pump and heating for you at a daily electricity fee'. But overall a place we can warmly recommend and will not disappoint any type of visitor.

Holiday september 2015

The fantastic villa is located in the hills near Lagos.The place and the villa are excellent, the villa has it all, the pool is incredibly fine. And it's breathtaking quiet. The views of the hills and villages, is particularly beautiful. For entrepreneurs like us a place to really rest. But Lagos, a beautiful historic town with restaurants and shops is also just a 10-minute drive away. In short, a villa for a wonderful holiday. David and Joanne, Thanks for living in your villa. Beautiful villa and wonderful setting

Joanne and David run a beautiful home in this peaceful location. We loved the area which , although so quiet, is only a short distance away from the restaurants and beaches near Lagos. Everything had been thought of for our comfort and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The villa is spacious and well looked after and well equipped. I would thoroughly recommend.

we just had an amazing holiday in this beautiful villa.We received outstanding hospitality from the owners...the villa was extremely well appointed.After swimming in the very large pool,we enjoyed a outdoor barbecue. The villa is very clean and has free wi-fi and game room!!!

Fabulous villa

Situated about a ten minute drive from the lovely town of Lagos, this villa was just about perfect. We were looking for somewhere quiet and away from it all yet within striking distance of the beach, good restaurants and supermarkets. The villa certainly has the 'wow' factor..........it is immaculately clean, well equipped and beautifully presented whilst still retaining a homely feel. We loved it so much, we spent most of our time here relaxing by the pool on the sunloungers, reading and soaking up the sun and the view! The Intermarche in Lagos has a fantastic selection of food - and an amazing fish counter - so we enjoyed many bbqs on the bespoke bbq "bar" next to the pool. Wonderful. We also ate out at some fabulous local restaurants and explored a little of the area. My more intrepid husband and son booked surfing lessons which they said were very professionally taught and easily bookable. As a holiday destination, we felt that it was pretty much perfect as there is so much to do, should you feel so inclined, and David and Joanne's beautiful villa is as good as you are going to find. We cannot recommend the villa or our lovely hosts highly enough!

My wife and I fell in love with Portugal, particularly the area around Lagos. The villa is just 10 minutes from Lagos center where we enjoy the ambiance of the town and the beauty of the countryside. We are pleased to invite our visitors to be our neighbours for a while in sunny Algarve.

The area combines the convience of near by city of Lagos with many fantastic restaurants and super-markets. There are many first class golf courses within 10-15 mins drive and numerous unspoild beaches nearby. The area around the house abounds with many varieties of bird life.

After enjoying sand, sea, golfing, fishing, sailing...etc imagine returning to this beautiful villa in private surroundings. Enjoy a glass of wine while you watch the Sun go down and you can have a clear view of the Milky Way at night. In the morning you will be awakened by the sound of birdsong. If you are lucky,in the evening you can even hear a nightingale sing.
