Tjugo minuter till Colorado Bend State Park, 12 miles till San Saba. På vildmarksleden som inkluderar Willow City och Enchanted Rock. Vi är en timmes bilfärd till Longhorn Caverns. Se våra mexikanska Freetail-fladdermöss före slutet av augusti.

En ny fågelundersökning hade 35 fågelarter. Detta är en arbetande ranch med nötkreatur och getter.

The cabin is set back in a large stand of mature Live Oaks and Cedar Elms which provide lots of shade and the patio is huge, great for meals and hanging out. The cabin is incredibly clean, well decorated (rustic), very cozy, relaxing and well stocked with most everything you might need. The well water is delicious and clean! We really enjoyed the goats visiting us in the morning and evening. They are very respectful and Mayor Ringo is affectionate like a dog, he loves to be petted! Beth gave us a tour of their family's Century Ranch while sharing it's rich Texas history. I love Texas so her stories gave me goose bumps! Beth and Tom are amazing stewards of their property and love to share it with their guests if you like.We will be going back!P.S. The drive to Colorado Bend SP via US 580 is a gorgeous 30 minute drive with lots of elevation change and twisting roads! Amazing views!

Property was 5/5 having the horses and goats roaming around was really cool, nice creek near the cabin. Cons: the cabin is about 100 yards from the highway, you can see and hear it from the deck, if you want total seclusion this isn’t the place. While I was there only 1 grill worked, a small 2 burner propane grill. The other gas grill was a Webber flattop and it was rusty. I didn’t see any charcoal grills during my stay. Cookware is sparse, 1 frying pan and a couple sauce pans, no grilling utensils. No spices, not even salt and pepper, were in the cabin. Make sure you pack everything you need to eat. Host was very responsive and kind, instructions were clear.

Private Cabin

We loved our stay! The cabin was so private in the middle of a beautiful pasture with goats and horses! It was convenient to Colorado Bend State Park where we spent the day hiking! A beautiful back porch to sit and watch the wildlife!

Little Getaway

My husband found this cabin on VRBO. It looked perfect for us. We have a 10 lb. papallion and he travels with us everywhere. He was welcome. The property was beautiful and had 2 beautiful horses and lots of pretty goats. Was so nice sitting on the back porch reading and watching the animals. Would definitely stay here again!!

April visit

My granddaughter took over the loft, and renamed it the "princess loft". She was terrified by the goats at first, then was hugging and petting them in less than 12 hrs. We hiked in Colorado Bend State Park and loved the water falls at both ends. Having no phone or internet was just perfect.

Peaceful getaway in hill country

Charming cabin on historic land

Everything about the stay was lovely - the location, the property, the cabin, the backyard and especially the hosts. Beth is a wonderful person and we really enjoyed the tour she gave of the property - highly recommend asking for a tour !

Wonderful!

We had an awesome time at this location. Being able to interact with the free roaming animals was amazing. House was clean and we had everything we needed. Only issue was how far we were from stores be aware of the 25 minute drive to a grocery store.

Very special get away

My husband and I were looking for a place where we could get away from the city, relax, and stargaze for a couple of days. This place was perfect! There is no TV or internet (our phones still worked fine) which was an added blessing for us. The cistern pool and the horses and goats were the icing on the cake! Oh, and did I mention the stars at night ARE big and bright when you leave the city lights? Just wow! I hope we can come back to this little secluded cabin again!

Best getaway!

My husband and I came here for a long weekend getaway with our two dogs. We had the absolute best time!! The cabin was lovely and the land was fun to explore and the farm animals were so fun to watch and pet. We went golfing and to the Colorado bend state park, as well as staying at the cabin and enjoying the patio. Lovely place! Beth and Tom are some of the nicest people too. We really hope to come back.

Our Happy Place

We have been visiting since March of 2020. We came for the first time when the world was shutting down, and we were all very stressed out. The ranch became our escape, and we have been back many times. This is where we go whenever we need a break from the real world and time to reconnect as a family. My daughter just graduated from HS and will be leaving for Italy for college in a few months; we all knew we needed a trip to the ranch together before we could send her off. Thank you, Beth, for sharing your slice of heaven; we will be back.

Great way to disconnect

My family and I stayed here for a quick weekend get away. It was the perfect way to get the kids exploring and experiencing all that nature has to offer. The creek was flowing which made for great exploring. The pool cooled us off after walking around with goats and horses. My kiddos could not have been more in love than they were with the baby goats on the property. The cottage was perfect for our family of five and had all the necessities. Thank you, Miss Beth, for a fabulous weekend.

Located one hour forty minutes from Austin or 11 miles from San Saba,Tx. We are also 20 minutes from the Colorado State Park in Bend, Tx. We don’t offer linens as this property is unique. A small inconvenience compared to a private nature preserve.
