Om boendet

Vårt bergshem används vanligtvis av vänner och familj. Det har nyligen renoverats med alla nya apparater och golv, fina lädermöbler och anpassat kök i modern inredning. Ren och bra för par eller små familjer att komma undan och koppla av.

Huset ligger 1 km till centrum Big Bear Lake och 2,5 mil till Snow Summit.

Allt ingår: Alla sängkläder (handdukar, lakan, etc.) Köket är fullt lagrat för att laga en gourmetmåltid. Krukor, kokkärl, tallrikar, bestick, serveringsfat, kaffekanna, mixer, brödrost, mikrovågsugn, kylskåp i full storlek.

Detta är ett hem hemifrån. Det är komplett. Allt du behöver är din mat!

Den har ett nytt kök med travertin marmor diskar, badrum med egen dusch, tvättmaskin och torktumlare. Ny tvångsuppvärmningsenhet som värmer och håller huset bekvämt, läder soffor, alla apparater är nyare och ett underbart däck av baksidan att sitta med en kopp varm choklad på en kall natt och titta på stjärnorna. Av baksidan veranda finns en otrolig släde kulle som är perfekt för barnen.

Ett sovrum har en queen size-säng och det andra sovrummet har en dubbel / dubbel kombination.

Big Bear Cabin

The property manager had excellent communication and went out of his way to make sure we had a great stay. Would definitely recommend for anyone traveling with family. The location was great and close to the Village and snow tubing.

Great Vacation

We booked for 2 nights and 3 days and it was perfect. You're a little bit of a drive from the main downtown area of Big Bear, but it was nice not being in the middle of the action. There was a storm a few days before we arrived so there was fresh snow for sledding and playing in. The property around the home is perfect for sledding and playing in the snow without being far from the house at all.Ray reached out before our trip, which was great for answering our questions and making sure we were set with everything. Had a great weekend away and my son wants to go back every year now!

Perfect as always

Great for kids with family friendly movies and boardgames provided. The bunk beds and toddler sized table are fun. Watch out for splinters on the fun outdoor swingset.

Perfect Quiet getaway

As has been the case every time we've stayed here, the cabin is great and the host's communication is amazing. We enjoy the quiet area away from the main town and even when there wasn't much snow elsewhere there was enough for our kids to play in and enjoy.

Great Family Place

Great Winter Getaway

Our second time staying at this cute cabin and super enjoyable again! We love the quiet and private area the cabin is tucked in. Very clean and perfect for a small family. We ate all our meals at the cabin in the nice kitchen that had everything we needed. My daughter loves the swingset and if you are lucky enough to get snow there is a great sledding hill!

Great Cabin & host

Every visit is different and great! We've stayed at Ray's cabin in summer, late winter and now around the holidays. Every time the cabin has been great and Ray is always extremely welcoming and helpful. Ours kids are excited to go and run down to the bunk beds as soon as we arrive. The cabin has had snow even when the surrounding areas are bare and the sledding hill is great for young kids. We are looking forward to another trip again soon. Maybe we'll try spring next time.

Awesome place and owner!

Ray, the owner, is awesome! He made sure that we had everything we needed and he was a fast responder! This place is quaint, but not small! It has a huge, open floor plan with the kitchen, family room,and dining area being one big room. The bedrooms are tight, but the bunk beds are great! The cabin's location is central to everything. We loved only having to drive about 10 minutes to be close to everything and being right next to Big Bear Blvd was perfect. I highly recommend this place and Ray!

Fun Winter Family Getaway

This cabin was exactly what my small family needed for a weekend of winter fun! Tucked away in a super quiet neighborhood we felt like we had the area all to ourselves. My daughter loved the swingset and the sledding hill. We cooked all our meals in the cabin which saved a bunch of money. It's just a short drive to downtown and the lake. Ray was very helpful with information prior to our arrival. Make sure you bring chains if it has snowed recently as the cabin is up a little hill that may be icy!

Nice and comfy

It was winter storm when we stayed at ray’s wonderful home. Inside house was clean. Pans and utensils are nice. The owner was very easy to talk to. We did not get a chance to use most of the amenities outside as the snow accumulated to 5ft. It was wild. Board games kept us busy. Overall stay was good. Will come back again for sure.

Cozy Cabin

Ray was a very attentive host. He made it super easy to check in and made himself available for questions throughout our stay. The place was perfect for my family as it was my 6 year olds first snowy experience. Yard has a play area with play structure and a snowy hill perfect for novice sledding. The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful. We got tons of snow so the backdrop was magical. Ray also went above and beyond by providing recommendations to local restaurants and businesses. It was a wonderful experience!

Stay over new years

The property owner was very nice, informative, and helpful during our stay. The house was cozy and the central air kept us very warm. We had a toddler with us and needed to get baby gate because there are a small set of stairs to get to the bed rooms. The property had a sledding hill out back which was great. However, if there is a heavy snow be sure and have chains for your car, otherwise you will need to shovel a 400 foot (or so) long driveway to get to the parking in front of the house. Overall, it was a great stay!

Perfect all around. A home away from home.

To start the owner Ray was very good with communicating we us about all the ins and outs of everything. He was very nice and super helpful. The house was just perfect for our family. Very clean. And very comfortable. The location was also perfect. The house is right in the middle of everything around. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook. My kids loved playing in the yard and the sledding hill behind the house was so cool. We will definitely be returning. I would recommend this house to anyone! Thanks ray!

Good property, nice location & ambience

It was nice staying there, nice kitchen, and rooms. Owner is very helpful. Gave all the details about the property & the activities to be done around Big bear. I has huge backyard and many things to play within the property. Only one thing is that, the neighbor was running his clothes in this homes washer/dryer. So he had access to the home. The bunker bed was metallic & shaky, making sound. Rest all fine.

Great Host but Outdated Cabin

The host was super nice and made us feel comfortable and reassured us that we did not need to bring anything other than our food. When we got there it was beautiful since the cabin was covered in snow. Once we got inside the house we noticed that it was a bit outdated but thought nothing of it. As we were there a bit longer we encountered the following. *Toilet bowl looked dirty (was stained) *Shower head did not work *My wife was taking a shower and rubbed out of hot water(she had to rinse herself with freezing cold water) *The railing for the bunk bed was not secured * Cooking utensils were burnt and old , knives were not sharp and old. *Some of the inside of the kitchen cabinets were dirty. *The fan on top of stove was dirty. *The hooks for coats was not secure to the wall. *All sleds were broken (1 worked out of 5) *The gazebo looked like no one ever maintained it. *the heater got extremely hot upstairs (was so uncomfortable) but would not warm up the downstairs area were the bedrooms were at. * Overall this will be a great cabin for a vacation if they actually update and remodeled it. We booked for two nights and only ended up staying one night because we just didn’t feel comfortable. We couldn’t wait but to leave.

We live in Las Vegas, NV and frequently visit our home in the Big Bear area. We lived full time in Big Bear Lake from 2009 - 2014.

Varför värden valde detta boende

This house was originally built sometime prior to 1876, most likely a hunting cabin. In the 1930s, it was a motor-coach stop for visitors coming up the old road (Mill Creek) to Big Bear Lake. The house has been added onto several times and renovated. We bought the house in 2002 and in 2007 we renovated the entire house. Please enjoy our modern home which has a lot of history.
