Another Great Weekend

Once again, Mr. Bug's Summer House was a great place for 5 couples! Dinner out 2 nights was surpassed by our dinner in. We also made a great brunch in this fabulous kitchen. Thanks again!

Family reunion

The house is beautiful, spacious and conveniently located. It was perfect for adults and children in our group ranging in age from 6 to 78. We hope to return next year!

Upper bunks were not made w clean sheets. Lower bathroom drain in large suite inoperable. Hose outside to rinse off is too short and gets kinked all the time.

Excellent

Our family has always enjoyed this house. We had a few issues this week that you timely attended to. We used elevator when we moved in, initial trip to grocery store and the third time to bring a handicapped, elderly family member up for dinner. The door would not open. We were able to get him off and did not use again. I am the grandmother, the host and not sure how much longer I will be able to stay with my family at Mr Bugg's house. This was the 79th consecutive year our family has been together at beach together!!! Hoping for 80th next year

Excellent

This place was awesome! Accommodated our family beautifully. Everything worked....stove/oven, ice maker, dishwashers, lighting and, of course, looking at the ocean was terrific. I think one of the best things was that huge round table. All of us could sit around for meals, play cards, and be together. It lived up to my expectations. I will mention one of the bar stools kind of fell apart, but I actually think it had probably been worked on before. Also, the morning we left I noticed one of the arms on a chair on the deck was broken. To my knowledge, no one even went toward that end of the deck. We were at the table and used a couple of chairs. Also, I thought the house was extremely clean. I hope we have the opportunity to stay there again. Becky Landry

Dream vacation

The house was spacious, beautiful, thoughtfully furnished, well stocked with appliances and kitchen supplies, clean, and comfortably accommodated our four families. The propane tank on the grill was empty but we got it refilled and then a new one was delivered the next day when they came to spray for the ants. The only problem we had all week which wasn't resolved was ants everywhere, bedrooms, family room, and kitchen. We limited food to kitchen and tried to keep everything covered, but the broom was broken and there was no vacuum, so we couldn't keep the floor clean enough. I would still rate our stay 4.5, but without the ants it would definitely be 5 stars.

From Good to Excellent

We love this house! But a couple of improvements would make it even better. This is our third year of renting this house. There definitely seems to be an ant/bug problem. We have had ants in the kitchen every year as well as ants and some bugs (including roaches ) in the downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms. Also, could all of the patio doors, especially the ones downstairs, be well-oiled? (The downstairs patio doors are very loud and squeaky when opened, and they often wake people up.) The kitchen sink faucet leaks all over the counter. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms need to be dusted. Having some storage containers with lids in the kitchen would be very helpful! We donated a couple to the house. Finally, there is a broken leg on one of the chairs in the family room that has been like that for a couple of years, making it hard to sit in. We appreciate the working elevator and refrigerators! We also like the new outdoor furniture! Thanks for your attention to detail. We look forward to next year!

Getaway Weekend with Neighbors

Second rental of Mr Bugs, first time was for our wedding on the beach in 2019, couple of maintenance items to mention: elevator wouldn't work (even with the maintenance man coming by with the key on his way home from work). we had a guest that just had double knee replacement. not sure if this item can be addresses due to the salt,however all sliders in the great room/kitchen made terrible sounds when opening back stairs in need of a good powerwash (down to the driveway) very dark even with the small wall lights on, and slight cat urine smell very nice to see the new railings & stairs on the walkway to the ocean Enjoyed our stay, and house was very clean. Great for Golfers and Beach lovers

Mr. Bugs House is a delightful, lovely home. The kitchen is well stocked and linens were plentiful. A fabulous deck with many rocking chairs and a great outdoor table for 8. Our entire group of four couples loved it.

Excellent

We enjoyed our stay at Mr. Bugs in November. We celebrated our daughter's wedding at Atalaya Castle and Mr. Bugs was the perfect location for family and friends to gather. The view was incredible! The pictures taken the day of the wedding while the bridal party was getting ready almost look artificial. It was a wonderful wedding and celebration!

We battled ants in kitchen and saw a few roaches in bedrooms. Much of stainless flatware has disappeared. We had to use plastic or wash by hand to have enough……..spoons especially! Otherwise all GREAT

Great stay on a peaceful beach

Mr. Bugs' house was the perfect place for me and my group to enjoy a long weekend on the beach. There was plenty of room for all, and the views were breathtaking. Would definitely rent again.

My family absolutely loved this house! It was every bit of our idea of a wonderful beach house! It was big and spacious for a large family. The little boys loved their bunk beds with the port holes to see the ocean. The adults especially enjoyed the views and the wonderful living space, along with the wonderful porches. We would love to come back!!

We had a great stay at Mr. Bugs Summer House. Our group consisted of 4 couples without kids. The property was well appointed and had every thing we needed. There was plenty of space for group gatherings as well as plenty of space for individual and couple privacy. We had a great time. In addition, the rental agent, Peace Vacations, was very helpful and accommodating.

Beautiful view, awesome beach access, quiet location for the holiday. We had a fabulous week and would LOVE to come back. Rental agency was very responsive and resolved a couple easy issues very nicely. THANK YOU!

Great location, perfect layout for large group

Excellent communication from property manager(s); very responsive with keyless entry issues. Very comfortable home. Loved the layout and well stocked kitchen. Someone from the management company needs to inspect the home. Dim lights in stairway upon entry from garage are dangerous. It was extremely difficult to see the keypad. House needs a very deep clean. One dishwasher was not operable. One kitchen drawer was broken and off it’s tracks. Refrigerator door was sticky and countertops were dirty upon check-in. These are easy things for management to audit periodically. We immediately reported the dishwasher and kitchen drawer to management. Again they were very responsive.

Our stay at Mr. Bugs

Our group of 12 - 6 couples from Asheville adore and appreciate our week at Mr. Bug's house. We've come to call it home away from home. We found a couple of things that need addressing - and please know this isn't a complaint - just information. The screen doors fall off easily. My husband put them back in - but we'd love to leave the door open with screens there. Some bathrooms were without a curtain liner and water leaked out of the shower. And finally, we believe in doing our part with the environment and encourage Mr. Bug get recycling service. Thanks so much. We look forward to our return next year. Barrie
