Ett charmigt hus / stuga med 2 sovrum i den historiska stadskärnan i den medeltida byn Nolay i Bourgogne.

Nolay ligger bara 1 minuts promenad från huset och har en underbar marknadshall och torg där du kan äta dryck och koppla av på restauranger och café (öppet sent på sommaren)

Det finns också flera restauranger (2 i den historiska marknadshallen) och ett turistbyrå där du kan hyra cyklar (elektriska eller vanliga) och åka på "voie verte" (ett gammalt järnvägsspår speciellt designat för cykling och vandring) som går genom Nolay och går till Santenay.

Det finns också ett offentligt bibliotek och en bokhandel / stationer och några antikaffärer.

En stormarknad (öppen hela dagen och söndagsmorgnarna) och en 24-timmars bensinstation ligger inom 2 minuters bilresa från huset.

Schöne Herbstwoche im Burgund

Gemütliches Häuschen in charmantem, mittelalterlichen Dorf umgeben von Weinbergen. Unser sehr freundlicher Gastgeber Pierre gab uns gute Tipps rund um Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und eine schöne Woche im Burgund verbracht.

Charming Gite Review

Charming Gite in the quaint little village of Nolay. In the heart of wine country with beautiful scenery everywhere! We were fortunate enough to be there during the wine harvest season! Too much wine…. In too short of time!!! Our host Pierre was just wonderful, very informative, helpful and we wish we could have spent more time with him! This Gite has been well appointed and beautifully decorated! The only bathroom is off the master bedroom. It was a wonderful stay and we would love to comeback! We would highly recommend this Gite!

Awesome stay

Nolay is an excellent base to explore Burgundy & Pierre’s gite is great accommodation. A spacious dwelling in a quiet neighbourhood, a couple of minutes walk from the bakeries & restaurants. Parking out front, fully equipped kitchen, ensuite bathrooms & washing machine & dryer. Ticked all the boxes for us, all enhanced by Pierre a warm welcoming host.

Eine wunderschöne Woche

Die Wohnung mit zwei Stockwerken liegt in einem älteren Gebäude. Sie ist wunderschön renoviert und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Wohnung liegt ruhig, zum Marktplatz sind es 3 min zu Fuß. Einziger Nachteil: es gibt keine Terrasse oder Balkon. Uns hat es super gefallen.

Charmante gite in middeleeuws dorp. TOP!

Prachtig huis op rustige locatie in klein dorp. Centraal gelegen om te wandelen, fietsen en voor leuke uitstapjes. De host is geweldig en helpt je direct als er iets is en geeft veel informatie over wat te doen etc.

Could not have been better!

Our stay was terrific. We had difficulty with our GPS and finding the place but our host guided us there. He also stayed late to orient us to the property. He even came back the next morning to show us around a little village.

Un séjour agréable in Burgundy

Un peu isolé, Nolay est un charmant endroit et le logement des hôtes est parfait pour qui veut découvrir la Bourgogne, ses vins et ses paysages. L’hôte, en parfait professeur d’anglais, vous mettra à l’aise et insistera pour faire le tour de la propriété mais aussi des environs, pour vous montrer la boulangerie, les halles et les petits bistros des environs. Il pourra vous indiquer où louer une bicyclette et emprunter la voie verte des environs, il vous expliquera les subtilités de la Côte d’or et de la Côte chalonnaise, and if you speak English as a first language, he will also do it in the most perfect and international English I have heard in years. All in all, a most perfect stay in Burgundy.

Fabulous Kudos to Pierre

Place was great. Location is fantastic. Comfortable and roomy with all the amenities you can imagine. Day trips from this location is great. If you love older villages and being in wine country, then this place is for your. The village of Nolay itself has all the things you need at your fingertips including a nice supermarket nearby. Pierre is a fantastic host and we immediately connected with him and already miss him. He gave us the complete tour of the village when we arrived. We recommend this place to anyone wanting a fantastic place to stay in the Bourgogne region of France

Lovely Spot to Stay in the Burgandy Region

Our overall stay was wonderful. Pierre met us and did a thorough walk through of the gite as well as took us on a brief tour of Nolay! This was most helpful for us! It was very quite and peaceful! Beds were very comfortable and linens thick! This was easy to find! Short walk to the town square! The apartment is modern with all new appliances and yet retains the old world charm! Parking adjacent to the building was very convenient! Our only note of caution-if you have any mobility issues the spiral stairs to the upper level where bedrooms and only bathroom are located, would make this a difficult stay!

As quaint village with flexible rules.

Nolay provided an excellent base for our time in the region, with so many memories, restaurants and bars which were open or not, depending on the day. A swimming hole shared with ducks. A bike track to Santenay, (with an excellent piscine-June to September). A shirt trip to Beaune. Our host Pierre provided a very nice welcome including a guided tour of the village.

Wonderful Gite for a Quiet Getaway

Pierre was an excellent host. The gite was spacious and comfortable with a lot of charm. Nolay is a lovely small village which we used as our base for day trips to wineries, an abbey, and even caught a stage of the Tour de France. Being able to make our own breakfasts with local produce using the gite’s kitchen was also a plus. We highly recommend it as a quiet getaway, and as a base to tour Burgundy.

Sehr schönes Apartment

Der Aufenthalt in Pierres Apartment war extrem schön. Alles wie beschrieben, hat alles gepasst und alles sehr chic und sauber. Die Schlafzimmer und Bäder sind fantastisch. Die Küche ein Traum. Die Lage perfekt, nur ein paar Schritte zum Marktplatz. Pierre hat sehr geduldig auf uns gewartet, da wir uns verfahren hatten. Wir kamen viel später an, als vereinbart. Per SMS haben wir uns ausgetauscht und am Ende hat alles wunderbar geklappt. Vielen Dank Pierre!

Great time in Burgundy!

We had a great time! The place was very nice -- well-appointed and comfortable, and a good home base for exploring the area. Pierre and his wife were excellent and responsive hosts; check-in and check-out was great. Notes about Nolay: It's very small and quiet, which is great if that's what you were looking for. (It was.). Several restaurants, most of which were only open for lunch, although we had an excellent dinner at Au Tier Bouchon. Places might be open or might not, which I suppose is part of the charm. But, trust me, you will not go without cuisine opportunities if that's what you're looking for. But a car would definitely be helpful, if not essential. Anyway, we had a very pleasant stay. Gorgeous country, nice people, and an excellent place to crash for a few days.

Very nice place to stay in Burgundy

We enjoyed our stay at the property. It was very nice, clean and well appointed and the owner was very friendly and helpful. It is located in a quaint small town with everything we needed nearby. The countryside near the town is very nice too.

Lovely house in Nolay

We had a 3 night stay in Nolay and it was a perfect spot to explore a lovely area . The house was very well equipped and comfortable. It was conveniently located in the centre of the small town . It was a peaceful and quiet location . Pierre the host was very helpful and made us feel very welcome .

Sehr schönes Häuschen in bezauberndem Ort

Schön eingerichtetes Haus mit gut ausgestatteter Küche und zwei Duschbädern fussläufig zu einer sehr guten Bäckerei. Sehr nette und entspannte Vermieter, Schlüsselübergabe war unkompliziert. Unbedingt empfehlenswert. Wenn wir wieder in die Gegend reisen, werden wir es wieder buchen.

Nolay short stay.

Stayed here whilst travelling onwards to Provence. Pierre the owner met us at the property, excellent service and superb character. Pierre has an excellent property, very clean and well appointed. Cannot fault it at all. Location is superb, ideal for exploring local area, with plenty of places to eat within walking distance. I can whole heartedly recommend staying here, its a credit to Pierre.

Mal was erdrischend anderes.

Schönen Urlaub verbracht. Eine interessante Ferienwohnung, die Spass macht. Neu designte Wohung in uraltem restauriertem Gemäuer. Ruhige Umgebung in der Altstadt einer netten Kleinstadt. Nette und freundliche Vermieter. Gute Kommunikation. Gerne wieder, wenn wir in die Nähe kommen.
