Great property! Excellent beach access. Pet friendly. Had all the kitchen tools we needed. Had to bring our own toilet paper and paper towels. Great communication from the property owner! She was very kind and helpful! Would love to rent again.

One of the two bedrooms needs a king size bed. Part of the deck should be covered. Good for a pet. Good parking.Clean, well kept house and yard.

Perfect for a couple or even 6 people

Check-in and check-out was easy and the owners were quick to respond to questions. We loved how close the house was to the beach. This was a very last-minute trip for us, so we were fortunate to find this cute little house available. Would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable stay

Our group consisted of myself, husband, and (2) 7 year olds. The house was comfortable, with a great location. We came in early and Peggy allowed us to check in early which was wonderful because we had cold food with us. Peggy and Johnny checked in on us to make sure we were good to go on everything. The house is smaller than ones we've rented in the past, which was a blessing in disguise for keeping things clean and tidy. We would definitely rent this house again.

Quiet get-a-way

Very Nice Place

Pet Friendly but not Senior Friendly

This property was "as advertised". Just a few suggested improvements. Repair a/c-heat thermostat that was not working properly; put a lid on the kitchen garbage can; the ceiling fans need longer pull chains on them (especially the living room) so the speed of the fan can be adjusted as needed; a grab bar in the shower for safety would be nice; and the stairway handrails are awkward to hold onto while ascending or descending the stairs. Final suggestion is that the owner(s) be more respective of renter's privacy. They should be available, if needed, but otherwise be invisible.

Varför värden valde detta boende

While Galveston is just a free ferry ride away, we like the peace and quiet of Crystal Beach. Peggy Macs is located in the preferred, quiet, family friendly subdivision called Sandy Shores, yet centrally located. We enjoy watching beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the deck and stargazing at night. And of course, the beaches are fantastic.

Location, location, location!! Our cabin is just a short walk to the beach and close to anything and everything you may need, whether it's the gocery store, the shops and restaurants, the marina, or the water slide. It's all right there!!! And in the preferred Sandy Shores subdivision! WIFI available.
