Oavsett vilken säsong, Gasquet är alltid vacker! Fråga snart som månaderna maj-september fyller alltid fort! Medel januari till mitten av mars är traditionellt blockerad för våra ägare under fiskesäsongen, om du kommer upp till fisk, gör en förfrågan hos oss och vi accepterar ofta sista minuten-uthyrning januari-mars, även om kalendern visar bokat.

Varför bor i ett litet hotellrum när du kan ha alla bekvämligheter i ett vackert område.

Detta är ett privat fritidshus på Smith River och fullt möblerade med alla moderna bekvämligheter. Mycket privat på en hektar mark. Alla anlagda av naturen med många tall, cederträ, gran och madrone träd.

Vårt fritidshus ligger i Smith River National Recreation Area längs stranden av denna orörda älven. Bara åtta miles i väster är Redwood nationalpark där några av de högsta redwoodträd i världen är bosatta.

Tjugo miles väster är Stilla havet och den södra infarten till Oregon kusten. Femtio miles öster är Oregon Caves National Monument. Vi har 150 fot av floden fastighet där du kan bada, snorkla, kajak, kanot, flotte, fisk, eller bara koppla av och njuta av landskapet.

Om du är i vintern steelhead fiske är detta rätt plats att vara, december till mars. Det finns flera fiskeplatser på fastigheten och i området kan vi också vägleda dig. När flodnivån ligger längst ner på rampen är fiske perfekt här!

Om du är i området komma och kolla oss. Vi är rätt på vatten kanten på 600 Gasquet Flat Rd, Gasquet, Ca. Leta efter "BMH lodge" skylt på tall framsidan.

Awesome vacation getaway (BMH) “bite my hook” vacation rental.

We absolutely loved our stay at BMH, and would definitely stay again. Beautiful view of the Smith River. Fully stocked house with many amenities (bbq, fire pit, etc.) Just up the road from many great Hiking and fishing locations as well. Beautiful & Relaxing

My fiancé and I and our furbabies found this beautiful little spot for our first time visiting the Redwoods. Marian was a wonderful host, very friendly and kind made everything very easy for us. Everyone in the neighborhood was very friendly. The house is perfect, beautiful view right on the deck with a nice little fireplace that we enjoyed very peaceful. Not far from everything we wanted to see. We definitely plan on coming back.

The best stay!

I had read reviews of the home and expected a clean and comfortable stay, but my expectations were exceeded and it's worth another mention in this review! The cabin is spotless, the kitchen is stocked, the deck furniture is clean and comfortable, the appliances are clean and working beautifully, the bathrooms were lovely, and the beds perfect! I visited with my family and our German Shepherd dog and we did not feel the age of the cabin at all. We hiked the Redwoods, which are just next door, each morning and came back to our cabin to enjoy the deck and playing in the cleanest river I've ever visited each evening. On top of that Marian ended up being a wonderful and warm host, so kind and as welcoming as the cabin. I truly have nothing bad to say about this place and would encourage anyone to book this place, pets or no pets!

Fantastic view and comfy accommodations

A beautiful spot right on the river! This was the perfect place to take a few days and reset while on an extended road trip down the Oregon coast and then back up through central Oregon. The property was gorgeous, with lodging and amenities well maintained. They had everything you could ever need to have a family game night inside around a cozy wood stove or out back on the deck grilling. There was plenty of room for my large family and the host was very accessible to answer questions all along the way. I booked well in advance, so it was nice to receive a personalized message leading up to check in. We hope our travels bring us back to the area - would definitely stay again.

A little piece of Heaven

Our stay was Amazing! The home was well stocked and clean. A perfect getaway on one of the cleanest rivers in America in a stunningly beautiful area of the country. Best part was sitting on the back porch with the fire pit watching the river go by. So peaceful. Marion was very nice and informative about places to go and things to do. Would definitely return here again!

Little Gem

My Family and I very much enjoy staying at BMH Cabin. The redwoods and the Smith River are so relaxing especially on the wraparound deck that overlooks the river. The cabin has everything one could possibly need but I do wish the living room still had a second television (with a family being there not everyone wants to watch the same shows in the evening). Gasquet is so beautiful and the people are very welcoming. Our host Marian is just the sweetest gal in town and was very helpful with daily activities. My pups already miss the river and lounging in the sunroom or on the deck. We hiked Stout Grove which was spectacular! We took our girls cliff jumping at Myrtle Beach near Hiouchi where there was also a great swimming hole. The cabin itself is fully equipped for cooking a family meal and enjoying our meal out on the deck while viewing the fantastic wildlife. Can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic place!

We loved staying here! We enjoyed the redwoods, the ocean and floating the river, but the deck overlooking the Smith River is the best part of BMH! And we love the host's hospitality.

Road Trip

This stay was our stopping point of a 2024 road trip. We wish we could have stayed longer because sitting on the back deck looking at the crystal clear Smith River was just wonderful. And being so close to the Redwood National Park was an added bonus. Marian and John were great hosts and gave us suggestions on some additional hikes close by. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

Adorable, Cozy Cabin on the River

This was a lovely stay. We booked the cabin for a redwoods/ocean vacation and could not be happier. The cabin is a cozy, clean stay that overlooks the Smith River. The propane fire pit on the deck was a highlight! Neighborhood is cute and great for walks. Our hosts were kind, helpful, and were available for any questions. Highly recommend!

Bliss in Gasquet

Our stay at the BMH VRBO was amazing! The hiking in that region is spectacular. The Smith River is probably one of the most beautiful rivers I've seen. I'm an old guy, I've seen a lot of rivers and lakes. The sleeping accommodations were great and the beds were very comfortable. Marian, the host, is a gem! Terrific communication and readily available when we had a slight challenge with the hot water. She delivered some fresh eggs to us one afternoon which we thoroughly enjoyed the next morning. I would highly recommend staying at the BMH.

Comfortable home on the Smith River

Comfortable and peaceful house with a large private deck on the Smith River, great place to relax, and close to the redwoods too. House was clean, and as described. Marian was easy to communicate with and took care of our every need.

Wonderful Vacation

Beautiful, quiet, and comfortable!

Marian’s place is so great! We were immediately happy when we arrived. We had coffee on the deck overlooking the river each morning and listened to the birds, even saw a bird fishing in the river! The place had everything we needed to cook and hangout and was a perfect home base for our Redwoods adventures. Marian was very friendly and gave us great tips for more places to see. We hope to be back! We loved it.

Beautiful Smith River

The property was clean and as advertised. The beds are a bit squishy and sized doubles/twins. My husband and I ended up sleeping in separate beds for comfort; just something to consider when looking at sleeping arrangements. Kitchen was well stocked which was a bonus. Wish the house came with kayaks/inflatables for the kids but they had fun playing in the river and exploring the waterfall on the other side. The undeniable gem of the house is the back deck. I wanted to stay out there all day; it’s unbelievable how clear the river is! My husband definitely wants to return during fishing season.

As always the perfect getaway. The only downside to staying at this lovely home is the trouble deciding whether to go out and partake of the many nearby adventures or to just stay on the deck and soak up all that the passing river has to offer! Marian, thanks again for your hospitality!

Secret Hideaway

Every time we stay at the BMH we are already looking at future dates to come back! It’s an absolute gem right on the Smith River. My son & husband were lucky enough to catch some steelhead with a kind neighbor. The property manager (Marian) is just the sweetest gal around and is there to help you with any questions or needs. The property itself is perfect for our family. It has everything one could need in the woods and sits right on the banks of the middle fork of the river. There is so much beauty all around with an abundance of wildlife and nature any time of the year. Can’t wait to return to our happier place!! Amy A.

Great view

It has a great view/location. Kitchen is well equipped. We stayed there during raining season and we were hoping to be able to use the fire place to dry out shoes/clothes but it did not work.

MARIAN ALLMAN är värd

The owners of BMH live out of the area. They rented BMH many times through the years, and when it went up for sale, they bought it! That way, when they want to come up and fish, its here for them!

We bought the house across the street in 2014, just moving here from Crescent City. It just made sense to manage BMH for the guys, so close, can keep an eye out for them when they're not here! My husband and I are retired, absolutely in love with Gasquet! It's quiet, wonderful warm summers, and of course, the north fork of the Smith River! There is no river as beautiful as the Smith! You can count the rocks on the bottom in the summer, watch the shades of green change, day to day, in the winter!

This is not like a lot of California. We have the ocean, the giant redwoods, the cleanest and clearest river in the U.S., the Smith of course. Our county of Del Norte has only 25,000 people and no polution.
