Hale Mahina i västra sidan av Maui är en av de bästa stranden condos i hela Hawaii, med ett utmärkt läge, lyxiga bekvämligheter och bekvämligheter. For the price they ask we could have stayed in a much nicer place

The view is fantastic which is pretty much what this owner has banked on. The building is rather run down and the unit needs a LOT of upgrades and normally I would just let this go and not mention it but I've been to Maui many times and stayed in a lot of places and he's asking waaay too much if he's not even willing to make some simple upgrades. Here's the list of what needs upgrading;Not enough working fans. There's no AC BUT AT LEAST have fans that work. I had to keep placing the one good fan either in the bedroom or living area because we found two broken fans in the master.BEDROOM ISSUE!!! The master bedroom is right next to the outside wall unit with the shutter windows that allow in a LOT of traffic noise. We were awakened many times by road noise, ppl honking and traffic. I could tell it's been an issue because there was a "white noise" maker placed in there.. again for the money they ask.. this shouldn't be an issue. We tried to roll out the sofa bed so we could sleep better but it's pretty small, old and rickety and UNCOMFORTABLE. TELEVISION DOES NOT WORK- we could only watch YouTube because that's all that we could get to work on this TV. I saw ppl complained in prior reviews about this and nothings been done still to fix this. The unit was overall kind of dingey , especially the bathroom. Old paint, teeny tiny tub and toilet stall. VERY outdated for his prices. We won't be back. For the money.. there's too many other nicer options!

I will be back!

I love how every single night the turtles come to stay and rest on the little private beach! Multiple turtles swim back and forth across the private beach. I was surprised how big the turtles were in real life! We cooked steaks outside on the BBQ. We enjoyed the room. It was in excellent shape. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. I have many pictures and videos from the balcony.

Thank you for another wonderful stay! The location cannot be beat. Wake up every morning to the sounds of ocean and see turtles swimming and whales from shore. It’s a true paradise! So much space and makes the whole vacation so special :)

Great Location and View

The condo was in a great location. Close to restaurants, shops, etc. The bed was comfortable. The view from the balcony was beautiful and we were able to see a moon set.

Michael's property is lovely. Rainbows and whales constantly. And if it ever got chilly or window, sit on the couch or at the dining room table and you'll have same view.

Honokowai Dreams

Hale Mahina is a very special place to many of the people who continue to come back year after year. The condo was excellent beyond measure. We watched whales breach every day from the lawn and enjoyed having no other plans. We feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful community through the years of staying here. What started as a quick visit turning into an engagement :) We can't wait to come back!

Fabulous stay

The property is wonderful! We loved the large living room and patio with unobstructed views of the ocean. We watched 3 turtles swim up onto the beach in front of the condo. This place is spectacular! Thank you Michael for letting us stay in your wonderful condo!

Absolute perfection!

Everything about this property is absolute perfection! There was plenty of room for our family of 4, lovely amenities, and the convenient location made it an ideal home base. And that view! We were completely spoiled by the beautiful view and the ability to simply walk out and swim in the pool or snorkel in the ocean. We could not be more pleased with our stay. Thank you for sharing your little slice of paradise with us!

Great property-great location

The Condos were very nice with a great sandy beach directly in front. My favorite activity on the beach was the turtles that would swim up and sunbathe next to us. Location is just minutes from Lahaina and grocery stores. Would definitely recommend and I’m anxious to return next Spring. 🌴🌸

Recent stay - June

The grounds, pool and location are great! We saw turtles and seals right in front of the condo! Close proximity to restaurants and groceries. The unit itself left something to be desired. The carpet was pretty stinky. Overall the unit is outdated and the bathroom/bedroom are pretty small. The kitchen was not well equipped (we like to cook and wanted to cook more than we were able) and the microwave and blender were broken. :( Not what we were expecting for the premium price tag. We still managed to enjoy our time since we spent most of it outside!

Fantastic location with private beach!

Views and serenity of this property are fabulous! Turtles on the (private!) beach. Whales in the distance. Amazing sunsets from the lanai. Short drive to Whaler's Village, Kaanapali Beach, and great dining options if you'd prefer a more vibrant scene. Walking distance to grocery store if you prefer to stay in and enjoy the peace and serenity of the property. Can't go wrong with either option! Would definitely recommend and return!

Long weekend on Maui

The property was great, but the location and veiws were amazing! In the evenings there were sea turtles on the beach, which is just steps from the condo. We used the kitchen to cook fresh caught fish from The Fish Market just south on the same road. Sunsets from the lanai or the beach were beautiful. The condo stayed remarkably cool with the cross breeze from the lanai to the bedroom.

Slice of Beachfront Heaven

Gorgeous property …. Snorkeling off the beach, whale watching, sea turtles swimming off shore and on the beach, lush lawn and garden, pool, hot tub, unbelievable sunsets!! The unit met all our needs and we LOVED our stay in the magical tropic oasis!!!!

It was our own private little island.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. If you are looking for quite romantic spot, this is your place. The parking is a little tight and small but the sunset view from the balcony makes up for the parking.m

January 2023 Vacation

My husband and I had our 4 year old daughter with us and we had a ball! We love the atmosphere and the sense of community at the resort. The people we met there were all wonderful. The grounds keeper was a sweetheart, and our host was always willing to answer questions through the booking and the stay. The listing said binoculars were there but we never found them. I don’t fault the host because people that rent these can be terrible. The whale watching was unreal and now a new hobby for me! I love it the most of anything on the island. The turtles are awesome too and come on the beach. We absolutely love the location and hoping to be back.

Great Views, Nice Place but needs Updating!

This Condo gets a 5 for its Lani and View of the Ocean Sunsets. The living room is nice, but the bedroom and bathroom are small, very little storage space. There is no A/C, fans help but the room stays warm. Bedroom is cooler with windows open, but there is a lot of road noise. We visited other Condo's in the Complex, some very nice with A/C and more modern furniture and fixtures. The "new" TV was very frustrating to use - not a big deal, but no access to live news, sports or weather, etc. The beach is small and every day we were there had high surf warnings/advisories - thus it was rather dangerous. We enjoyed our visit to Maui, but next time, we'll look for a better place to stay.
