Njut av vackra vyer från Chesapeake och en fin vit sandstrand på detta rymliga, familjevänliga strandhus. Fem fullt möblerade sovrum rymmer maximalt åtta. Privat ingroundfiberglaspool (installerad 2019). Utmärkt fiske, kajakpaddling / forsränning / kanot (ta med din egen!), simning, badning, crabbing, grill / picknick och vandring. Delfiner, fiskgjuse, kala örnar, pelikaner och kolibrier lever i området. Inom en 8-15 minuters bilresa hittar du restauranger, shopping, vingårdar, antikaffärer, charterfiskebåtar, museer, en gratis färja till Sunnybank och färjor för dagsutflykter till närliggande öar i Chesapeake Bay. Bara två timmar från Richmond och tre timmar från Washington. Finns för uthyrning på helger, veckor eller månader.
Obs: Huset är begränsat till icke-rökare. Hyresgäster förväntas ta med bad- och badhanddukar, tvål och pappershanddukar (sänglinne tillhandahålls). Vi har en strikt policy för husdjur. Huset måste vara i "som hittat" skick vid avresa, inklusive rengöring av sängkläder med lokal tvättmaskin / torktumlare. Övernattning är begränsad till registrerade gäster som inte överstiger åtta personer (en extra avgift gäller för mer än sex övernattningsgäster).

We absolutely love this home. We have stayed here several times and the view is amazing and the home is very comfortable. We saw bald eagles each day and collected sea glass. Although the weather did not cooperate, we did enjoy visiting new areas.

This was our second year spending a week in Ophelia and it was fantastic! The kids enjoyed the beach and pool as expected. The adults were able to have peace and relaxation in the quiet neighborhood. Mark was responsive and gave a quick update on the house amenities. We had a blast! Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Mark & Val’s property! The location was perfect and our girls loved the pool. Although Hurricane Erin tried to ruin our trip, we still had days of perfect sunshine! We would absolutely stay here again.

Val and Mark were lovely hosts and quickly responsive to our few inquiries. Our grandchildren loved the pool especially night swimming in the magical colored lights. They played outdoor games, collected shells, and made s'mores in the fire pit. The house was very comfortable with nicely sized rooms. The hosts have curated their home with lovely art objects that give it a wonderful vibe. There was plenty of room indoors for everyone and many sweet little garden spots outdoors if you wanted solitude. We were lucky to spend the week watching a pair of bald eagles with a flight path close to the shoreline sitting area. Unfortunately, we were here in the middle of jellyfish season and were unable to swim in the bay. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

Our family had a great time at the beach house. Mark and Val were very helpful in acclimating to the house. Pool was the highlight of the stay, kids couldn’t get out, loved it. Was very relaxing stay, we would go back and enjoy the house again.

Lovely house. Great if you have young kids. Pool was wonderful. The unfortunately the jellyfish were awful and we were only able to admire it from afar. Good house for multiple families with kids. Spent many rainy days/nights playing games and doing arts and crafts and didn’t feel like we were on top of each other.

4th of July family stay

The house is in a very rural area and secluded. Very beautiful house and highly organized. House was comfortable and fit our 2 families very well. We enjoyed the beach and pool daily and had a grocery store within 20 minutes where we purchased our food. Neighbors were very friendly with no issues. Overall the hosts communicated very well and provided us with all the things we needed. First couple of days were very buggy with lots of flies and mosquitoes. The beach had lots of jelly fish on those days too. Nothing the host could do about that but something to plan for for those looking to stay in the summer.

So relaxing

This lovely home is located on a very tranquil piece of property. Surrounded by eagles, osprey and heron. The home is very clean and very organized. It is located on the bay with a private beach. The pool is perfect for children. My family had a wonderful time swimming, fishing, crabbing and playing on the beach. It's a perfect vacation home!

Nice relaxing stay

True Gem

This property exceeded our expectations! Pictures are typically staged to showcase highlights of the home, but this place is even better in person! What we noticed right away was how clean this home was. Pair that with a great pool and amazing views and it makes for a perfect vacation getaway. We enjoyed fishing, swimming, the fire pit, and making meals together. The house was spacious enough to accommodate our family of 6 with plenty of space. We will definitely be back!

Destination Relaxation

This property checked all of our boxes (pool, 5 bedrooms, fishing) and our entire family had a great week. It was extremely relaxing. The hosts really have thought of everything and absolutely everything is labeled for ease of finding. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Stay!

This Ophelia beach house was amazing! We spent our week fishing from the beach, swimming in the pool, grilling, and spending quality time together as a family. The house had every amenity we could need, plus added extras that made it feel at home. The check in and out process was very simple, and Mark was a great host. We are looking forward to booking another trip in the future.

Everything we wanted in one spot

This home, property, pool and beach area was wonderful! We grilled out, had a fire, rented a kayak, enjoyed the pool, played yard games and fished the beach. We saved a bald eagle and a horseshoe crab, used crab traps, caught a stingray and other fish. I could go on and on. Nothing negative, except it was biting black fly season, and they are ruthless. House has everything we needed and we big ang very nice. My 3 year old grandson loved the deck and screenroom and we all enjoyed the yard games. You are out of the way of cities, lights and people. The patio around the pool has neat lights and the pool was lighted at night. Thank you for letting us stay!

Amazing vacation

We had an amazing time and the weather was very enjoyable. The owners have made some changes to there home and they are perfect! they have taken out a wall and really opened up the dining area and the bay can be seen as you eat. I love the upstairs balcony, it improves the view. I have taken many photos from there even a sunrise. Along with my grandchildren, we found over 300 pieces of sea glass and even an arrow head. Lovely setting for a getaway with a pool and small beach

Mark and Val were wonderful hosts. Mark took the time to call and walk me through the house when we arrived, which was very helpful. The pool is lovely and the setting is right on the water with a small beach, a lovely sitting deck overlooking the water, etc. The house is nice and not luxury. Some of the beds and furniture could be a bit sturdier and more comfortable. If you're looking for luxury resort type place - this isn't it. This is great for casual hanging out with friends and family and relaxing. There are a lot of checkout asks (hauling trash to the dump, laundering the sheets and towels, sweeping, wiping things down, etc.) so be aware of that. Would stay here again for sure!

Perfect!

This property is in the perfect location for privacy and being in touch with nature. The pool was perfect for the kids, we had the beach to ourselves. We saw dolphins, eagles, ospreys, lizards, heron and crabs. The house is clean with many convenient appliances. We had a wonderful time!

Great House

The house and property were great. The owners have truly thought of everything including things I didn’t know I would appreciate so much like additional outlet space all over. You can’t beat the view and proximity to the beach and pool was great for the kids. The only bummer were the flys. Not sure if is a particular bad year or bad part of the season but a couple of times we chose to stay inside. Luckily there’s still a great view of the bay and the house is very comfortable.

Wonderful vacation on the Chesapeake Bay

The house was as described with beach front backyard, beautiful views, clean pool and everything we needed to house 8 for a week. Communication with the owners was good. Lots to do in the area. We enjoyed watching dolphins and cownose rays and sea birds.

Varför värden valde detta boende

The quality of the beach and the tranquil setting were what first drew us to Ophelia. The area has a wealth of history and opportunities for day trips on charter boats, ferries to nearby islands, and outings to memorable restaurants, museums and shops in Reedville, Kilmarnock, and Heathsville. Over the years, we've been able to add an upstairs deck, rooms, and amenities to the beach house. It is a place for fun and rest – and hard to leave!

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Some of our favorite activities are relaxing on the upstairs deck and watching the osprey, bald eagles, pelicans, and dolphins go by. Views of sunrises over the Bay and sunsets on the Potomac are gorgeous. The salt water pool is easy on the eyes and a great way to cool off after hikes or long walks on the beach. An outdoor barbecue as picnic table sits between house and pool. Inside, we have comfortable and well air-conditioned spaces for meals and gatherings of friends and family.
