Få tillbaka din förnuft! Detta är ett spa för själen. Alltid ett fritidshus, första hyrd. Allt man kan tänka sig är här. En privat dal bland de majestätiska hemlocken stämde stämningen att vara inbäddad. Nästan en kvarts mil av kaskaderande vik lindar sig genom dessa 5 tunnland. Detta är platsen att undvika livets stress. Du kommer att gå hem med en "ny leasingavtal." Denna timmerstuga ligger bara 20 meter från vattnet i svängen av Vandergriff Creek. Fick som en kung i den stora timmarsängen i master sviten med en privat veranda. Knäck dörren och släpps i vila vid det babblande vattnet. När solen toppar sig över berget har du vandrat längs bäcken som dras av dess lugnande trollformel. Kaffe i sväng kommer att sätta din takt för en avkopplande dag. Massor av kul i gamla skolan: dart, hästskor, bocciaboll och gungan.

Tre sovrum på en våning gör det enkelt. Massor av utrymme på 2200 kvadratmeter. Grill som en mästarkock på det stora gröna ägget. Allt du behöver är biffar. Allt är här. Köket är utrustat precis som hemma. Anslut till omvärlden med Wifi, Netflix, Direct TV på 55 ”super-HD-TV med Rockfish-surroundljud om du måste. Eller fly helt avkopplande under hemlocken - förmodligen varför du kom. Prova en eld under stjärnorna i vår utomhus eldstad. Träet är allt staplat. Massor att göra i närheten. Världsklass öring strömmar några miles bort med Cohutta Fly Fishing School. Kör ut till rören Cartecay-floden i en riktning eller kajak Toccoa i den andra. Appalachian och Benton-MacKaye spår är inte långt. Och ingen borde komma till bergen utan att se Amicalola Falls 25 minuter bort. Bedårande Ellijay har många bra restauranger - också 25 minuter bort.

The pictures do not give this property justice. If a peaceful relaxing get away is what your are searching for this property is perfect. The creek is absolutely amazing with lots to explore. Sitting anywhere on the property you can hear the creeks waters. The cabin is simple yet perfect,secluded,peaceful, and all around relaxing. We will definitely be back again.

Great stay , wonderfull property!

We came for a relaxing few days and thats exactly what we got. Very private and quiet home/property that was exactly as described or better. Close to Ellijay, Blue Ridge Lake and Amicalola Falls SP. We would definitly recommend and/or come again. First rate stay.

Perfect!

The cabin is large and roomy - super comfortable and clean. Plenty of room for folks to spread out to enjoy quiet time or get everyone together in the large main space. Surrounding woods and creek are beautiful to explore or just sit and relax. Peaceful and quiet.

Beautiful Cabin

We loved our stay! This place was recommended to us by a previous guest and it did not disappoint! The owner was fast to reply and the cabin was clean and spacious. We live in atlanta and we are thinking of making this a yearly trip!

Fall Break

We stayed at the Creek Cabin during our fall break and it couldn’t have been better. The cabin was awesome and the countryside was gorgeous! We love it and will be back.

Wonderful setting, peaceful and quite!

Awesome

The cabin is furnished better than expected. Furnishing were very nicely done. Owners of cabin worked well with us and you could tell they want our stay to be extra special and it was. Would return to the cabin and highly recommend the cabin.

My son and I had a wonderful father son weekend. We played in the Creek and basked in the wilderness tranquility. It is a beautiful property and it is very well represented in the listing. We had a ball and we definitely plan to return again this summer!

Wonderful mountain getaway!!

Our family had a very memorable time at this cabin. We stayed three nights and never once turned on the television. Spent each day and evening outdoors enjoying the creek, building fires, sipping wine, and spending quality family time. Cabin was clean and had everything necessary to prepare great meals and feel at home. Thanks very much to the owners for providing such a tranquil environment!!

Great cabin stay with grandchildren!

The cabin was beautiful. Plenty of room with the grandchildren. They enjoyed sleeping and having their own place in the loft. We enjoyed coffee on the deck while they explored the creek and surrounding area. Amicalola falls was only a 30 minute drive. Our grandchildren are from Florida and the falls was amazing to them. We will stay again!

Can’t wait to go back!

We loved it so much the first time that we came back! The cabin is perfect! Cathy has stocked it with everything you’ll need. The creek and surrounding area is so peaceful. The drive from the main road is a little scary but totally worth it when you see the cabin. I’d recommend a truck though not necessary. Cathy, thanks for sharing this wonderful place. We can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful and peaceful

We love this property. It’s the second time we’ve stayed there, and perfect for kids! Our 5 year old son loved playing in the creek. The cabin is comfortable and cozy. Always very clean and welcoming. The creek, fire pit, screened in patio and back porch with the green egg are just perfect for an amazing and relaxing vacation. Can’t say enough good things about this cabin. Cathy, the owner, is great and easy to communicate with.

Even Better Than Expected

We had a great time staying at the Rushing Creek Cabin. Everything was just as promised, or better. The creek is beautiful and oh so peaceful. We felt like we were away from every care in the world. We had everything we could possible need - a full kitchen, wifi, Direct TV, beautiful furnishings and all of the amenities of home. We can't wait to go back.

Relaxing weekend getaway

What a beautiful setting for our relaxing weekend with family and friends! The cabin was warm and inviting and had all the amenities of a high end hotel, with plush towels and a master bed in which I could have stayed in all day. The screened in porch by the creek was the perfect setting for games and reading. We played in the creek and sat in the swing watching the dragonflies. I would highly recommend this rental for family and friends wanting to escape from the fast pace of every day life.

Another Fantastic Stay

This was our second stay at the cabin. Once again, it did not disappoint. Our goal was to escape the heat of FL and just relax. We did exactly that...the kids played and floated in the creek, we grilled out, and enjoyed time around the campfire. We cooked all of our meals at the cabin and had everything we could have needed in the kitchen. If you are looking for a place that is a bit more removed from town to relax and unwind as you listen to the bubble of the creek this location is ideal!

Has It All!

Love everything about this cabin, but probably would say having the creek just outside our door was fantastic. We all brought our rain boots and waded in creek, including my two year old great-grandson. Also grounds surrounding cabin are level which is rare in the mountains. Inside the cabin you have everything you need for a relaxing weekend. Prettiest setting I have seen in this area!!

Perfect weekend getaway for relaxation and rejuvenation

I fell in love with the cabin as soon as I stepped in through the front door. It is decorated immaculately. The king size bed in the master is so comfortable and made sleeping even more peaceful...as if the creek right outside the door didn't do the trick. The house had all the amenities needed (coffee maker, top-notch oven, refrigerator, washer/dryer, wood burning stove, firewood, big green egg). My husband and I tried to figure out how we could stay there forever. We cannot wait to stay again. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Incredible Mountain Cabin

This cabin is absolutely perfect. We had 2 adults and three kids (ages 8-10). The cabin is on about 5 acres of land, is secluded and has a beautiful little stream running behind it. We were able to let the kids run around and be completely independent. The cabin is very spacious and well-appointed, and there are lots of activities for kids (horse shoes, games, hiking). If you are a cook, it has everything you need. We loved that we were completely unplugged. Morning coffee on the back porch is incredibly peaceful and a great way to start the day. And, there is a great state park about 30 minutes away with plenty of outdoor activities. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend this cabin to adults or families.who want to get away and spend time in a beautiful natural setting.

Another perfect stay

This is year two for our family at this property and we felt right at home. The house was clean and supplied as it should be. Plenty of towels and wash clothes and extra blankets and pillows. Everything you need in the kitchen, unless you are going to cook something special and need something very specific. It was in the 80’s and 90’s but it never feels that way here because of all the tree coverage. My kids spent most of the time on property looking for creatures under the rocks and playing in the creek. They are so content here and never want to be inside. We had two afternoons where it rained but there are plenty of games and puzzles to keep you occupied. We even watched a movie on the smart tv. The only complaint I have is that 5 days were not enough. Don’t think twice about booking this property.

Amazing home and property!

My husband, our two daughters (9 and 7), and I had a wonderful spring break trip at this property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely book this cabin again in the future. The property itself is amazing! It’s private, well-kept, and so much fun for the kids. Even though it was cold, my daughters had a blast jumping rocks to cross the creeks to a little island. I’m obsessed with the tulip magnolia in the front yard. The cabin itself is beautiful. You can tell a family loves this home, as it’s well-stocked with everything you might need. For example, have a power strip between the nightstand/bed makes it much easier to quickly set up your home away from home. Everything was clean and fresh, and the house is incredibly cozy! My girls loved the loft area. Cathy, the host, is very quick with responses and information. Her detailed instructions ensured we found the cabin easily, without cell service and in the dark. She is friendly and easy to work with! If you are looking to enjoy the outdoors and have some quality family time, this is the place for you!

Pinch me- This is too good to be real!

Upon arriving, we were blown away by the beauty of this cabin, inside and out! We were looking for a cabin with a creek, and this one winds around the property and passes right in front of the deck,. The solitude plus the gentle sound of the creek provides the perfect atmosphere for peace and tranquility. There is a stone fire ring with lots of cut firewood and kindling for those who like to spend their evenings fireside. The cabin is beautifully decorated and spacious with plenty of seating for relaxation and lots of windows to enjoy the incredible view. We didn't watch much TV, but the large 3D screen smart TV has surround sound and does all. We enjoyed cooking in the well appointed kitchen and my sister fell in love with the Green Egg. She made the most amazing baby back ribs! There is a front porch, back deck, and screened in porch for those who like to relax outside, along with a swing down by the creek. We have stayed in many cabins in North Georgia. This one is our very favorite!

a wonderland of beauty

This lovely cabin is filled with modern amenities and beautifully decorated! The owners took great care in providing special touches like plenty of pillows, supplies you might forget to bring (like coffee filters - thanks!) and plenty of details on how things work, what to do in the area, etc. This was our second stay here. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, which we needed as we had some cooking to do for a family function. The beds and pillows are so comfy - the creek right behind the house sings you to sleep with its gentle murmuring. They didn’t forget the details in the large bathrooms. Plenty of luxurious towels and hot water. The view was absolutely breathtaking from the large widows that look at the creek and the side of the mountain. So peaceful and soul-settling. Although there are houses nearby, they are far enough away to make you feel as if you have the mountains to yourself. The picture that the sun paints as it rises and sets is nature at its best.. Be sure to get up early to see the magnificent colors. The location was great for us - close to family, surrounded by quiet and beauty yet a quick 20-ish minute drive to Ellijay.. Last but certainly not least, the wonderful hosts will make you feel so welcome. They make sure you have a wonderful experience, while respecting your privacy on your special getaway. Thank you to our gracious hosts - we can’t wait to come back! You have a little piece of heaven and we will surely spread the word about your beautiful place.

Tranquility. This is the place to come to escape the stresses of this world. The talking creek washes them away. Dozens of vantage points to let it immerse you. We looked for four years then knew instantly that this was where we wanted to spend our days. Never rented before, its always been a family retreat and feels like it. We hope you find what we experience each time we come.

The Hemlock Story
The hemlock is a majestic conifer tree that meanders the mountain streams of the Appalachians. At up to a hundred feet in height, it shades the waters that are its ecosystem and keeps temperatures ideal for trout habitat. But the tree is threatened. The Hemlock Wooly Adelgid a small scale insect was introduced from Japan and with no natural enemies has devastated hemlocks in the Eastern US. It kills these magnificent trees in roughly five years time. Our property along Vandergriff creek is very unique to have 160 beautiful hemlocks concentrated along the creek bank. Having no idea about hemlocks or this threatening pest, we bought the property five years ago to quickly discover that the trees which nestled our cabin-in-the-woods were infested and struggling to survive. I took this as an urgent challenge. We researched a cure and began treating each tree (complicated soil injection around the base). Several trees were too far gone but we've been able to watch as the trees re-foliate very gradually from the tiny crown of needles that was left in the top. Having lost less than a dozen trees, we are excited to live inside a wonderful restored “cove” of these majestic giants. These beautiful trees make this a truly unique setting.
