The Dock House - Creek to Beach på 5 min

Inbäddat i en park som inställning erbjuder The Dock House det bästa från båda världar. Tyst, komfort och avskildhet efter en dag på stranden eller en natt på stan. På baksidan av fastigheten finns en skärmad veranda (men buggar är sällan ett problem) som öppnar för alla ljud och sevärdheter som en flodmynning med saltvatten kan ge. Hawks, Heron, Egrets, Osprey, Pelicans, Pipers, Turkey Gult och Woodpeckers är vardagliga besökare. Spel som hjortar, kaniner och ekorrar ofta området. Synliga från bryggan är fisk och kräftdjur under det dagliga tidvattenflödet. Sidogården är tillräckligt stor för att få en Bocce, Badmiton eller ett Croquet-spel. En parkstil grill ligger nere vid och två hängmattor i skuggan nere vid mynningen för att koppla av och varva ner.
En av världens 25 bästa stränder (röstade av National Geographic 2017 & Trip Advisor 2018) ligger 2 mil bort när kråkorna flyger. Parkering vid stranden finns gratis vid huvudentrén eller tillbaka mot butikerna. Betalad parkering är också tillgänglig för $ 8 per dag på piren. Fiskebryggan är privatägt och kräver en avgift på $ 1 för en promenad och historia av ön eller $ 9 per pol för fiske. Stranden är alltid en skönhet. Stora solen blötläggning, simning, cykling, promenader eller spring. Sanden är packad slät och hård där vatten berör den. 10 grader svalare vid stranden. En hård bris kan besöka så ofta på stranden, förankra ditt paraply eller hyra en cabana. Se till att fånga minst en soluppgång och solnedgång från stranden med fantastisk utsikt. Calm creek bliss

Wonderful place

Very comfortable house in a beautiful location. Calabash is a great little town. Easy check in, house is clean and well stocked. I could spend all day sitting on the dock.

Great little house and a quiet little neighborhood

We love sitting on the back screened in porch watching all the nature we saw deer a snake lots of birds fish jumping in the water it was very peaceful I would stay there again.

Great house and location for our family vacation

We had everything we needed for our vacation. My son really enjoyed the fishing. He hooked several fish and an alligator. Many memories were made. A 10 minute drive the beautiful sunset beach was perfect. We hope to book here again if ever back in the area.

If you want a quite and nice place to stay this is the spot for you having the dock to go drink coffee on in the mornings is so relaxing having the big yard for the kids to play in is absolutely amazing it's a 5 min drive to sunset beach if you stay there go to Bennett's best cheese burger ever will be back for our next vacation

Relaxing

Enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch watching the wildlife. We saw two alligators this trip. Caught a few fish out of the tidal creek. The big yard is excellent for kids to run and play in.

Great stay

Nice, quiet, safe neighborhood never felt the need to lock our vehicle whole there. House was what we expected. Clean house, well kept lawn. Hosts made checkin very easy though we thought we were at wrong address when arrived because there was vehicle in garage so we had a laugh over that. Due to wind and low tide being middle of afternoon i didnt get to fish but the pier and screened in porch offered nice realaxing atmospheres.Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

We LOVED IT!!

Oh my goodness we cannot say enough amazing things about this property!! The house was super cleans and so well stocked with necessities the backyard os beyond perfect. We fished every tide in and out and had a blast. The neighborhood is super quiet and we enjoyed all the natiure!! So many gorgeous birds and even raccoons we went on our belated honeymoon and are already planning another trip soon. Paul was very communitive and super kind!!

Rare find in Calabash

My parents live in Calabash. We stayed here so we could have some extra space for a family reunion. The house is a rare find in this area. Lovely yard right on the water. We really enjoyed the little dock sitting area. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. Nice big, clean fridge, Stove and oven worked well. It was cold outside, and the heat worked well. The sun porch is nice. And the living room and kitchen sitting areas provide lots of places to spread out and relax. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The checkin and checkout were easy. And the owner was very responsive though we did not experience any problems whatsoever. Really good find!

Wonderful House Near The Beach!

Absolutely Awesome Brick House just a very short drive from some terrific restaurants, gift shops, and of course, the Beach! Located in a safe and quiet neighborhood with a great scenic backyard view of nature and water! Really nice large yard with lots of room on a cozy private lot. The owner, Paul, does a fantastic job of quick response communication and genuinely cares that all of your questions are answered in a fast and timely manner. Would most definitely stay here again and hope to do so every summer going forward if our schedule permits. Cannot say enough good things about this well kept and clean property! No negatives to report whatsoever! Lee in Tennessee

Fantastic!

This was the cleanest, most well-stocked rental we've ever stayed in. Also the most accurately described. The house was spotless, and instead of mismatched, random, and often nonexistent cookware and kitchen ware, there were complete matching sets of everything, and plenty of pots and pans and other gadgetry. Plenty of towels, pillows, bedding, even shower gel and shampoo. Fishing was pretty good.....would have been better if not for the shortage of live shrimp bait in the area lol. The yard is beautiful, the dock is great, and the neighborhood was very quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this rental, thank you for sharing. We will be back!

Peace and Quiet

Nice brick ranch home in a very quiet older and established neighborhood. I was surprised at how little traffic and people I saw during the whole trip at the home. The yard is huge. Very private and quiet. Being on the creek and having the dock is perfect for relaxing and watching the wildlife. I caught a few fish and saw a bald eagle among tons of other birds and crabs. Very close to all of the Calabash seafood restaurants and shops. I’d also recommend Gravy Southern Eatery which is very close by. You’re also only 10 minutes away from Sunset Beach and 15 from OIB. Paul was easy to work with and provided updates on anything needed. Would have no problem staying in the home again.

Rent at your own risk!!! Roaches!!!!!

The outside of the property is set next to a beautiful little river, and is quite charming. However, on the inside the home smelled musty, and when we began to open cupboards and put away our food, we were greeted with huge cockroaches we constantly had to hide our food in plastic bags or the refrigerator, the same with dishes, so they were not ran upon by roaches, the bed linens in the master bedroom smelled of body odor. I informed the owner of my displeasure of renting out a roach infested smelly property. He told me I could leave and he would refund my money. The problem with that is I had no other place to stay on such short notice. I ended up buying laundry detergent and re-washing all the bedding because it reeked even with their detergent and tried to make the best of it. I cleaned up the place better than I found it re-washed all the dishes, and even left roach traps for the next guest. The owner was kind enough to reward me by charging me $45 for not putting the garbage by the curb. I wouldn’t stay here ever again. I was constantly concerned that I might carry roaches home to my own family home. Rent at your own risk.

Truly a great experience -

Renting this house was such a great experience for me and my daughters, 12 and 14. The house and property are incredible. The best touch; the beach items and lawn games in the storage unit that Paul provides. We had so many positive experiences, nice surprises; great memories were made!

Golf stay

We wanted a single family home with a yard and privacy for a guys golf trip with access to fishing and this place didn’t disappoint other than a lack of alligator sightings
