Perfect for families

Appartment is absolute clean. Kitchen is ready to prepare your meals if you really want to miss the excellent food in the nearby restaurants of Sao Martino. The pool gets no wind from the atlantic and is clean, warm and sunny. Paul and Nicola are very kind and contact is easy and friendly. You can reach many well known see-sights within an hour by car. We and the kids enjoyed our amazing stay and recommend the location full hearted.

Nice stay with a few bumps

We had a nice vacation in this spacious and very well-equipped apartment. We had all the facilities we needed. The area is really nice and we didn't mind walking up the hill to the apartment from the city. Paul was fairly easy to communicate with. There were a few things that unfortunately overshadowed the idyllic expectations we had before arrival. The worst and most important things were the for us very hard mattresses. Other things were how the pool area looked upon arrival, the dirty drawers, the humidity and smell from same in the apartment (a good thing were the dehumidifier) and also the smell in the back bathroom from the drain. Our overall inpression was that the apartment as well as the building seemed a little lost in time and a bit out of date.

A quiet place

This appartment was very spacious and confortable. The view on the ocean from the master bedroom or the livingroom was breath taking. It was peaceful and quiet. The pool was a a great place to relax after few hours at the beach. There was just a little negative point. The beds were really hard but that's all. ( maybe it was a bad day for the cleaning crew because the shower glass was not clean and the couch as well) It was an amazing and perfect place for a family of four. We had everything we need for coocking and also an umbrella for the beach.

Great Location

We certainly appreciated the location of this property. However, we were very disappointed by the smell when we entered the appartment. It was very musty and we had to keep the dehumidifier on at all times. The kitchen was not as clean as we would have expected, we had to rewash plates, cutting board and utensils. On a positive note, the neighbors were very friendly, the boardwalk was amazing and the restaurants were greatly appreciated.

Very spacious apartment close to the town and all amenities.

The property was very spacious with everything required for a pleasurable stay. The complex has a large pool which gets the sun for most of the day, there is also a gym but unfortunately none of the equipment was working during our visit. The only other issue was that the oven temperature gauge doesn't work so you had no idea what temperature it was at but as we mostly ate out at the many quality restaurants in the town it wasn't too big a problem. All in all a good holiday.

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und gut gelegen! Es war alles da,was man braucht. Die Anlage hat eine gute Lage und es war sehr ruhig. Wir haben besonders genossen den Balkon mit dem Blick zur Wasser! Gostamos muito da estadia

A casa é excelente, espaçosa, bem decorada e com todas as comodidades necessårias. A piscina é muito agradavel e localizada numa zona resguardada que melhora a temperatura do ar. Apesar de ser uma localizacao com algum vento a paisagem é fenomenal com vista para o mar. Aproveitamos o barbecue no terraço para a promeira sardinhada do ano. Nao utilizamos o ginasio mas estå bem apetrechado. O Paul é muito simpatico e disponível tal como a Nicole. E agradecemos muito pelos detalhes.

This 2 bedroom apartment has a perfect location in Sao Martinho do Porto.You reach the central part of the town within a 5 minutes walk. In front of the apartment you have a stunning view of the sea and nice areas to hike. We would love to stay here again sometime!

Fabulous apartment and great location

A lovely holiday in Sao Martinho do Porto. The apartment had everything we needed (we were a family of 4) and Paul was very helpful and accommodating. A good size pool and great sea views. Sao Martinho itself is only a short walk away, with a lovely beach and plenty of cafes and restaurants. A perfect base for walking, running, water sports and relaxing! We had such a nice time that we are planning to return next year!

mooi appartement op een prachtige locatie

Mooi appartement, woonkamer gezellig ingericht, keuken met benodigde apparatuur, 2 slaapkamers en badkamer met toilet. Afzuiging op badkamer minder goed. Prachtig zwembad, garage onder appartement. Schitterend uitzicht met wandelmogelijkheden in directe omgeving. Uitstekende wifi.

Wonderful stay

We (family with 2 children) have had a splendid Holiday, Paul's apartment has been a real home to us (though small palace seems more appropriate). It had everything we hoped for and more, welcome by Victor, the pool, terrace with sea view, private parking etc. Sao Martinho is neareby, sea, people and food perfect. We look forward to coming back!

A fantastic apartment in a friendly town

The apartment is beautifully clean and the set up and space was ideal for our family of 4, although I believe the apartment can 'house' 6 and I don't think it would be a struggle. The location is fantastic for the beach and town, although the walk back up the hill might be a challenge for the less mobile. The pool was big enough for the number of guests sharing it and the pool area never got crowded. We really enjoyed our stay and are considering it again for next year, possibly for longer if we can do it.

I was born in South London and despite travelling round England with work I now live in Epsom, Surrey. I have 3 adult sons who have enjoyed visits to the apartment. My wife and I still look forward to our visits to the apartment even though it is several years since we first visited.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

Having selected the Costa Prata as the area and visited a number of towns we fell in love with Sao Martinho do Porto, because of the beach the facilities and the people. When we found Varandas do Santo Antonio, with its location and views we knew it was the place for us. Good walks from the door step. The quiet location but close to the town.

The calm and safe bathing waters in the bay, the wonderful roof terrace and the views especially at sunset. The large lounge/dinning room and the quality of the fittings throughout. The terraces front and rear. The good sized pool.
