Wonderful Wawona Home

River Lodge was perfect for our family holiday outing to Yosemite. The house is very clean, well outfitted, spacious and cheerful, especially the upstairs great room where we gathered. The staff at the Redwoods were so kind and helpful both on the phone and at the property. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Great kitchen!

We all loved this house, especially the kitchen. Beautiful view from the deck, plenty of room for our family of 10. Highly recommend

Great location! Very private and awesome view from the deck. Definitely a cabin vibe with dated carpeting and furniture, but very comfortable.Internet was spotty at times and could not get cell service so if you need to get work done, this may not be the spot for you. However if you are on vacation and want to get away, this is a great spot.

Layout

This Cabin is well situated and appointed I recommend that the owners put rails on the top bunks for the kids. They are inexpensive and safe.

Wonderful Cabin Weekend

A group of friends, their partners, and their kiddos all met in this beautiful cabin to reconnect after largely not seeing each other during COVID. We absolutely loved the cabin - the location, the rushing river nearby, the privacy, the amenities, the way the cabin is set up great for large groups. Would recommend ! For those traveling with young kids, we had twin three-year olds who slept in one of the downstairs bedrooms - it stays pretty quiet downstairs and they were unbothered by the adults staying up late talking and playing board games. A great option for mixed-kids-and-adults groups!

Great cabin in a great location

Very large, well appointed cabin situated right on the river. If you have a large group this place is ideal - big kitchen with 2 dishwashers, 2 refrigerators, and an 8 burner Viking stove. Wonderful deck, which is where we spent most of our time. I've stayed in different cabins in this area over many years and this is the best relative to size, location and value for a large group.

Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was beautiful and worked perfectly for our party of 12--from the bedrooms to the dining area to the deck. The kitchen was the best-stocked of all the homes we have ever rented. Peaceful view of the river. Easy parking for 4 to 5 vehicles. Will definitely rent again.

Perfectly Relaxing

We chose the River Lodge for a small family reunion. There were 10 of us in all, and every couple got their own bedroom. The house could easily have accommodated a few more, if we had used the bunk beds. The place was beautiful, peaceful and ready for us. The huge dining room/living room area was a great place for evening hangouts, with lots of space for those who wanted to play cards or sit and talk. The kitchen is completely equipped and has a great gas range. We also used the outdoor gas grill one night. There is a large deck with chairs and a comfy hammock, facing the Merced River. Although there are other houses nearby, since most windows face the river, there was a feeling of being out in the woods. The Redwoods folks, who manage the property, were very helpful. Although we had a 45 minute drive to and from the valley, the drive itself is so beautiful that it never seemed like a burden. Even the wi-fi connection was good, though cell reception was very weak. I highly recommend this house for your large group gathering.

Gorgeous

This place had a wonderful and full view of the roaring river (during the wet seasons). The house is beautiful with a large kitchen island, spacious living room for large gathering, and plenty of amenities. No jacuzzi in case you are looking for a place with one. Great meeting place for groups and a wonderful place to unwind.

A great stay on the river in Yosemite

This house is the best. We have been staying here since 2008. It is better than the Majestic Hotel or the Tenaya Lodge. We like the location on the river, the large kitchen, the deck outdoors, the five bedrooms, and three spacious bathrooms. The only reason we did not give 5 stars because it lacks air conditioning in the summer. The three downstairs bedrooms are cooler if you are heat sensitive.
