We loved this farm house! Well stocked, plenty of space, beautiful setting. Paula was wonderful to work with. We really enjoyed are weekend in east Texas.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We loved the country setting. Our children and grandchildren were able to come. The house was a great place for us to visit and be together.

Fantastic property and home!! Picturesque views, beautiful flowers attract the butterflies and hummingbirds, bats in the trees at dusk! We will definitely be back!

The accommodations were fine, it’s a well maintained older house with all the basic features. The peace and quiet was very enjoyable. Unfortunately, the pond was a major disappointment. There was no pond aeration being provided and therefore the pond was the color of pea soup. Very bad algae bloom. The fish caught were nice sized bream and a few small bass. The water level was very low due to the lack of significant rainfall, which of course is beyond anyone’s control. The farm fresh eggs, frozen biscuits and homemade jam provided was a very nice treat.

Another great trip to Pine Grove Cottage. The weather was warmer than last time but we were still able to catch a nice amount of fish. Plenty of area to explore if you don't want to fish. Or in the evening time go sit by the pier and look for the beaver. Paula and Jim thank you for another wonderful visit.

This place is absolute perfection. Brought the family for a week stay. Everyone had their space and were comfortable. The cottage is stocked with everything you need and is immaculately clean. We loved the seclusion, all the shade, and of course the fishing. Hosts are beyond sweet. Truly went above and beyond, even with their own things going on. They made a point to check in on us to ensure we had no issues. I greatly appreciated the communication leading up to our stay as well. Highly recommend and we will return!!

Property comes as advertised. Paula is excellent to communicate with and checked in the make sure we had everything we need. The fishing was great and the water was the clearest I have seen it. We already have a return trip in a couple of months.

This is such a lovely cottage. Everything you need for a wonderful stay. Very clean. Great beds and bedding ! Wonderful towels and amenities! Fishing was great. Enjoyed day trips to Gilmer and Pittsburg !

Our stay at Pine Grove Cottage was excellent! Paula was the most gracious host that we have had the pleasure of meeting ad the cottage was very clean and neat. The fishing was excellent which is what we went for and we have made plans to visit again next year.

The perfect getaway!! Great location, pure peace and quiet. Paula is a great host, check in was a breeze. The property has everything you could possibly need, literally a home away. We both enjoyed everything and look forward to returning!

The Pine Grove Cottage is a great escape to enjoy being in the country and fishing a private lake! The inside is clean and beds comfortable! We caught lots of small bass, but my husband lost a couple of big ones. We enjoyed the town if Winnsboro that was close by, good restaurants and shopping! Paula is a great host and helpful through our entire stay!

The Pine Grove Cottage was fantastic.It is such a a cozy place but at the same time all the room you need.The property is unbelievably well kept.The fishing at the pond is awesome.It is a great place to get away to and relax.The Acher's are such sweet and accommodating host.This is a wonderful place.

Cabin stay

Stayed here for a weekend while riding at Barnwell Mountain. Great spot and it worked out perfectly. Even saw a bald eagle!
