Denna mycket stora två våningar lägenhet är unik. Den upptar två våningar, med tre sovrum och ett badrum på andra våningen och kök, matsal, badrum och stora rum på första våningen. Den stora rummet är två våningar högt med en utsatt välvda trappa. Byggnaden har fortfarande kvar det ursprungliga lövskog lönn golv, med undantag för ett av sovrummen, som är matta. Båda våningarna har privata 4-säsongen verandor på framsidan av byggnaden. Bakdörren leder ut till en vacker och ganska stora dela nivå ceder däck. Vissa off gatuparkering finns på baksidan av byggnaden liksom.

Det finns ett sovrum med en king size säng, kabel-TV och en egen privat 4-säsongen veranda. De andra två sovrummen är betydligt mindre och har queen size-sängar.

Båda badrummen har nyligen varit redone och har några vackra anpassade stenarbeten och skåp. Köket fått granit ungefär samtidigt, och har en full storlek kyl / frys, gasspis, mikrovågsugn, kaffebryggare och brödrost. Den är också utrustad med köksredskap, tallrikar och bestick. Lägenheten har sin egen tvättmaskiner, som ligger utanför köket. Matsalen ligger i direkt anslutning till köket och har en privat 4-säsongen veranda bifogas.

Den stora rummet är en del av det som gör denna hyra så unik. Det har en 20 fot tak med en öppen trappa som sveper upp till andra våningen. Det är vardagsrummet i lägenheten och har bekväma sittplatser med en stor plattskärms-TV. Den har också en Hide-a-säng.

Lägenheten är utrustad med gratis trådlöst höghastighetsinternet, kabel-tv och en särskild värme och luftkonditioneringssystem med en egen termostat som hyresgästen har kontroll över.

Denna uthyrning upptar båda våningarna i södra halvan av byggnaden, och var ursprungligen två lägenheter, som har omvandlats till en extra stor enhet. Gästerna har tre privata dörrar till lägenheten: första och andra våningen främre dörrar som leder till en gemensam trapphus delas med andra enheter i byggnaden, och en bakdörr, som leder ut på ceder däck.

Great Place in the Twin Cities

This place is perfect, especially for two couples. Location is ideal near Uptown and everything was nicely arranged.

Housing Review

Home was very clean, roomy and well priced. It was also conveniently located close to downtown. The owner made the check in and check out process very easy. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Perfect spot to stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. House was decorated beautifully, had all needed appointments. Mike was a wonderful host, accommodating and had thoughtful. Great location, in a fun neighborhood on a quiet street. Great location to all our stops in the city. Looking forward to a return!

Very nice space, very clean and well managed.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The space is very large, open and appealing. The owner couldn't be more pleasant and helpful. The house is a short 2 block walk from a very interesting restaurant district. We would definitely stay again.

Nicely restored home

We had a wonderful stay at this home in the Whittier neighborhood. Great location just to the south of downtown Minneapolis. We walked to Lake of the Isles; ran along the Midtown greenway; meandered through a nearby Farmer's Market; and ate meals at restaurants in the neighborhood. Very nice place to stay. The host was helpful, flexible, and friendly.

Great rental in MLPS

We had a great time staying at Mike's VRBO, its location is only a few blocks off of Nicollet (Eat Street) and an easy walk to great food. The place is bigger then the pictures show, gave us tons of space for spreading out and feeling comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood quiet. I would highly recommend staying with Mike, who was awesome to work with during our stay!

Spacious yet Private

This property is absolutely wonderful. It’s a great location for a weekend in Minneapolis with friends. Close to many attractions and fun restaurants. The downstairs space is open and wonderful for gathering for movies or games, while the rooms allow you wonderful privacy while still being very bright and open. If you love craftsman style wood work you’ll love this place! Along with a lovely host, will absolutely be booking here again.

Great Rental

The apartment was great, plenty of supplies, linen, and toiletries. Several eateries within a mile or so. We got lucky with prime parking right in the front of the complex every night. I would definitely recommend this rental for a short or long stay. :)

large and clean, good neighborhood

This is a pleasant large space in a good walkable neighborhood. House is clean and well-equipped with all the basics. Quiet street. Easy access to downtown, lakes, and right next to Eat Street. Was hard to find choices in Minneapolis that sleep this many people and this was very good for seven people having a long weekend.

A beautiful place, in a great foodie/drinkie location, with a wonderful host

the duplex is a beautifully restored small apartment building that dates back many years. The reconstruction resulted in a 3 bedroom 'house' with a spacious kitchen, great room, and porches. The Master BR is so large and the bed very comfortable. Mike is a gracious host and is ready to provide local info about a lot of topics. A great stay and I highly recommend to families and groups.

Great location, clean and well appointed!!

Mike as a great host. He checked in with us, made sure we had any questions answered, and wanted to make our stay comfortable! The home was very spacious and well furnished...nice for our family get together to celebrate a retirement! The location was perfect with restaurants within two blocks in two directions...also very close to MIA (we walked)...and convenient to downtown! THANK YOU!

Great Place, Exactly as Photographed

Mike was a great host. He was flexible and super quick to respond to questions. He stocked the apartment with a few tasty goodies! The beds were comfortable. The location is great. We walked to several restaurants in the area and enjoyed all of them. Its an easy drive to the airport and downtown. The space worked well for two couples and two small children. I'm looking forward to staying on my next trip to Minneapolis.

Amazing space!

This was an amazing space for our Minneapolis visit. The space is very large with great bedroom sizes, a nice kitchen and dining room, and living area. The parking spaces in the back were very nice for our two families. Mike was very accomodating and had some special touches when we arrived. He ensured we had everything we needed upon arrival. Don't hesitate to rent this space - from the artwork touches to the many living spaces, it is worth every penny!

Perfect!

We were in Minneapolis to watch some baseball and this location was perfect! $10 Uber ride to Target Field. The rental was so spacious the 4 of us were very comfortable. It was clean and had all the necessities. It is a very quiet neighborhood which was a blessing. The fresh squeezed OJ and crossaints were a nice touch. If I am ever in town again I would absolutely stay here again. It was just lovely.

Beautiful place in great location

I, my wife, daughter and her friend stayed in this spacious well decorated 3 bedroom 2 bath unit in a great location to visit the Minneapolis area during spring break. The neighborhood has many unique restaurants and stores in walking distance and only a 15 minute drive to University of Minnesota and Mall of America. There is street parking available and also an off street parking spot in the back of the unit. The owner, Mike, is very hospitable and knowledgeable of the Minneapolis area and is great wealth of information on local attractions and things to do.

Beautiful property in an ideal neighborhood

We used the whole house and it was great for our family celebration. I only wished I had known about the extra charge for additional people. Also, it would have been nice to have a BBQ on that great deck and I wish there had been a dishwasher. However, we had fun and the enclosed porches were all used.

Nice duplex, nice neighborhood

The property was very clean and quiet. It is very close to many restaurants on Nicollet Av. (Eat Street) which is a walkable distance. The only issue we had was with the kitchen. There is no dishwasher. It is small and may be difficult to cook if for more than a couple people. We didn't eat in much, so it was OK for us.

awesome stay!

We had a wonderful two night stay at Mike's place! First, it was extremely clean. I am very picky about cleanliness, and this place was spotless. The location was perfect. We were there to attend the Badger/Gopher football game and it was only about a 10 minute drive to the U of M campus. The walk to a ton of great restaurants was less than 5 minutes in two directions. The neighborhood itself was really quiet and felt safe. The duplex itself was very quiet with no sound coming from next door at all. The layout was nice and would be good for a larger group had we needed it. The beds were all very comfortable as were the other furnishings in the house. I would stay here again in a heart beat!

Great place to stay in when coming to Minneapolis

My two guests ans I loved this house. The decor is great. The amenities like the 60 inch TV and Cable were wonderful. The owner was a phone call away for our whole time we were there and very reponsive to us This is probably the nicest VRBO that I have ever stayed in. If you are at a conference downtown it's a 30 minute good walk or a $5 uber which can pick you up very fast there. There is also a bike share system that is about two blocks away. There are some great restaurants that are close by that deliver. We did Giordano's Pizza and had a Chicago Style Pizza while watching the Football Game in the house. This would be a great place for families or just about anyone.

Fantastic experience!

The property was as described online. Perfectly located in relation to everything we needed and wanted to do. The former owner, now property manager, Mike was GREAT! He is invested in the quality of the experience in this property. He was amazingly responsive. He provided detailed instructions, expectations, and recommendations. He even provided resources for the soap he provided that I liked. He was a wealth of knowledge regarding the area and nearby experiences. Lastly, he was kind, flexible and accommodating. We could not have asked for a better experience!

I grew up in Northeast Minneapolis and moved to South Minneapolis when I attended the University of Minnesota. I've lived in this area ever since. It suites me. I'm what you might call an artistic type. I actually made the door in this photo. I'm a Classically trained composer and have strong ties to the arts community here. I've made a living as a composer and audio producer for over 30 years. I'm also rather "outdoorsy". I am intimately familiar with the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Northern Minnesota and have biked hundreds of miles of trails in the state. I love exploring and am always looking for new bike trails and restaurants. I also love to cook.

Varför värden valde detta boende

I chose to live in this part of town because it just feels right to me. It's old. It has character. The boulevard trees are large and mature. Great restaurants. Beautiful old parks. The lakes. The bike trails. A vibrant arts scene. Many small independent businesses. Close to everything. The building is original to the site and is over 100 years old. I like that it's large. It was originally constructed as a 5-plex and has been many things over the past century, including a rooming house. It was converted to a duplex right before I purchased it, at which time it received all new wiring, plumbing and heating/air conditioning. This neighborhood has many old large houses and mansions. Most of them had been all broken up into multiple units, but as the area gentrified, these stately old homes have gradually been bought-up and converted back to single occupancy residences. I was fortunate to have gotten in near the beginning of the gentrification upswing.

I sold the building to it's current owner in the Fall of 2019, and moved to my new home, which is located about eight blocks away. So, I'm still in the neighborhood and close by if there is anything your require.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Close to Downtown. Close to Uptown. Close to the Lakes. It hits the sweet spot. People throw around the word "unique" pretty loosely, but this property truly does earn that description. Just ask any appraiser I've had look at the property. They can never find comparables to include in their appraisals. That uniqueness is part of what attracted me to the property. Though it is conventional in many respects, it's size and layout do make it stand out – particularly the large two-story great rooms in both units. If I had to choose one attribute of this building that really made me want to acquire it, other than the neighborhood itself, it would be the great rooms. They are not original to the house. They were created by removing the second floor and some of the interior walls in the back part of the building. It's a rather striking effect.
