Perfekt för en eller två vuxna, ligger Forth River Cottage 10 minuters bilresa från Devonport och 1 timme från Cradle Mountain. Privat, lugnt och designat för den mest kräsna resenären. Lämna dina bekymmer bakom när du tar i den flödande floden, solnedgångarna och gröna betesmarkerna. Du kommer inte vilja lämna!
Alla dina bekvämligheter tillgodoses - lyxigt sängkläder, handdukar och Tasmanian badrumsprodukter tillsammans med tvättmaskinens bekvämligheter, gratis Wi-Fi och widescreen-satellit-tv.
Star stirra när du sitter bredvid brummande eldstaden med utsikt över floden, perfekt för att njuta av ett mulledvin eller varm choklad och rostning marshmallows.
Det finns en lokal närbutik och en flaskaffär i närheten för de sista minuten. Eller kanske en promenad till det lokala ekologiska kaféet eller hotellet för en måltid efter eget val.

Forth rankas definitivt som en av de mest natursköna, liksom en av de äldsta städerna i Tasmanien. Inbäddat vid floden Forth, ligger det bara 13 kilometer från Devonports stad. Befolkningen på bara 350 personer gör det till den typ av stad där alla känner till alla och du kommer att få känna sig väldigt välkommen. Många av de ursprungliga byggnaderna har ersatts sedan bosättningen, men det finns fortfarande en stark känsla av historia om denna gamla stad. På navet i denna historia ligger Historic Bridge Hotel, som är en av stadens äldsta byggnader och står fortfarande i nästan sin ursprungliga form. Det licensierades först och öppnades 1872, och har lyckats behålla den gamla världens charm och atmosfär av de tidigare tiderna. Byggnaden är faktiskt kulturarv och anses vara en nationell skatt. Det betraktas också som en av Tasmaniens ledande livemiljöer. Alternativt kan du njuta av det ekologiska kaféet som ligger bredvid i den ursprungliga postkontorsbyggnaden från 1856.

Fantastic stay, best host, best supplies, fantastic location.

Wow, Sally the host is the best host we have ever had, the property is very comfortable and very clean, the supplies are above and we'll beyond our expectations, excellent quality and plentiful, stayed for 6 nights and still had some left over supplies. Would recommend 100 percent and would stay again. Excellent base location for many day trips.

Best breakfast supplies EVER!

We had a great stay in this comfortable cottage filled with everything you could possibly need to be self-sufficient. Sally had filled the fridge and pantry with so many provisions and goodies that we could have stayed without bringing any groceries at all. I’ve never seen such high quality and generous provisions provided in any other accommodation ever! On top of that we had a washing machine to get all our washing done (we are travelling in a campervan). We didn’t get to use the outdoor bath, which had an idyllic location overlooking the Forth River, but still awaiting privacy screens. Maybe next time. Would definitely stay again if we’re in the region.

Calm before the storm

We were seduced by every accept of this property that fulfilled our every expectation. We aimed to base ourselves here for the better part of our 2 week Tassie experience, hoping to take out the necessity of uprooting ourselves from what was on offer. We made the right choice. It didn't matter how far our travels took us because we knew at the end of the day we would be returning home. Every detail of this property was thoughtfully crafted and any request or wish was no trouble. Our host was generous and accessible and given mother nature's desire to turn on a spectacle with some extreme weather conditions, at no time did we feel isolated or threatened. Abundant supplies, comfortable surrounds and picture perfect scenery enticed us to stay and we did. Knowing how busy things were going to be once we would return home, our appreciation of what was on offer at Forth Cottage was only enhanced. Truly a remarkable and unforgettable stay, one that did provide the calm we were looking for.

A perfect place for any adults looking for a quiet, romantic getaway. The location by the river without any neighbors or car noise is exceptional. The amenities at the cottage are first class with ample food and breakfast supplies available. Our hosts, Jodie and Sally made sure that we were well catered for, and were a pleasure to deal with. Heavenly!

We were blown away with the cottage and ALL OF THE WONDERFUL AMENITIES. Wonderfully clean, luxurious towels and toiletries, well stocked kitchen and delicious food … fresh sourdough, salad and fruit from their garden, espressos machine, and lots more! Beautiful location on the river. So quiet and peaceful. Nicest VRBO we’ve ever stayed at. We felt very spoiled!!!

Over and above

I cannot explain the level of detail that has gone into ensuring guests have a highly luxurious relaxing stay here. I especially loved the use of Tasmanian made products that were included for guests to enjoy. THANK YOU for having some beautiful books on Tasmania for us to look at. There were fresh cut flowers everywhere and no expense has been spared in the fine details. This is a one of a kind experience. The perfect place to end our honeymoon. Our only regret was that we didn't get to meet Bella the dog.

Rural peacefulness

We had an amazing stay from the moment we checked . Everything you needed to have a relaxing time out, but close to everything for us to use as a base to explore. Our own little piece of heaven.

Upon arrival we were blown away. This is the ultimate B&B. Honeymooners and completely looked after. A bottle of bubbles to congratulate us and such lovely provisions. Local produce, products and some port. We endulged in the out door fire and the bath. Heaven for me. Thanks to Sally we would love to come back.

We can’t speak more highly of Forth River Cottage. Absolute superb place to stay, missing it already, every detail is taken care of, can’t fault one thing, the owner has thought of EVERYTHING. The river at your back door is sublime. Very generous with the best quality supplies. Thanks so very much for our wonderful stay. Definitely will return for a longer stay next time. I love to travel and I value accommodation that stirs the senses - visually beautiful, high end comfort and cleanliness, my needs anticipated - but homely enough to relax and unwind. Friends and family who have stayed at Forth River Cottage have been the driving force for me to open the doors to fellow travellers, there is a lot of love in this space to share! I have raised my family (as well as horses, dogs, cats and chooks!) beside the Forth River, putting down roots in the 1990’s. The design is known as Cape Dutch Style. Cape Dutch architecture is a traditional Afrikaner architectural style found mostly in the Western Cape of South Africa. The style was prominent in the early days of the Cape Colony, and the name derives from the fact that the initial settlers of the Cape were primarily Dutch.

One of the unique characteristics of this property is its location. The property fronts onto the Forth River, which runs throughout the year. It is nestled in the heart of the Forth Valley only 5 minutes drive from Turners Beach (Bass Strait) and less than an hours drive to Cradle Mountain.
