Koni Kai Àr uppflugen pÄ en gammal lava flöde pÄ South Kona kusten i Milolii, den Àldsta fiskelÀge i Hawaii. Om du letar efter nattliv (annat Àn nÄgra av de bÀsta konstellationen visning pÄ planeten), dÄ detta Àr förmodligen inte plats för dig. Men om du söker en lyxig personlig fristad som frÀmjar avkoppling och föryngring, sÄ har du hittat din perfekta semester destination pÄ Koni Kai. Ligger 30 miles söder om Kailua-Kona och bara en timmes bilresa frÄn Volcano National Park, ger Koni Kai den perfekta hemmabas till lounge hela dagen pÄ 1000 kvadratfot soldÀck, utforska nÀrliggande svarta och gröna sandstrÀnder, uppleva dramatiskt annorlunda eko- system i regnskogar i nÀrheten av Hilo, eller vandra vulkanen för att söka efter hÀllristningar och titta aktiv röd lava flöde i havet. Under vintermÄnaderna (ungefÀr november till mars), kommer du att kunna sitta pÄ soldÀck och titta knölvalar migrerar, spinner delfiner utför och enstaka grön havssköldpadda simma upp för att sÀga hej. NÄgra av de bÀsta snorkling, dykning och fiske kan hittas direkt framför huset pÄ grund av ett korallrev som strÀcker sig över norra sidan av viken.

Även om vi skulle hoppas att majoriteten av din semester spenderas "un-ansluten" frĂ„n kaos i resten av vĂ€rlden, förstĂ„r vi att det kommer att finnas tillfĂ€llen nĂ€r du behöver checka in, sĂ„ gratis Wi-Fi och HD- satellit-TV finns. En helt ny, toppmodern vatten filtreringssystem, för att inkludera UV-ljus, har installerats. I köket finns en Wolf gasspis, Kenmore ugn och mikrovĂ„gsugn, Bosch diskmaskin och varje liten apparat vi kan tĂ€nka pĂ„. Det finns ocksĂ„ en tvĂ€ttstuga med en helt ny Whirlpool Duet hi-effektivitet tvĂ€ttmaskin och torktumlare.

It was amazing. Repaired my nervous system! The snorkeling was incredible as well as right there! The stars at night with the crashing of the waves. Spiritual! OMG I can't wait to come back.

If you’re looking to visit the Big Island and stay away from the crowds then this is the place for you. We took the advise from many of the people who stayed here before us and brought our food for the duration of our visit but there are grocery stores in both direction on Hwy 11 so you can alway pick up items if you need to. The neighborhood is quiet and the waves crashing on the rocks right below the deck were awesome. The kitchen had everything that we needed and the home was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves. The check in process was easy and we never had a need to contact the property manager or the owner. We’ll be back to enjoy this place again.

The view and sound of the ocean made me feel like I was on a ship; it is so lovely! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet stay away from it all. The house was clean, had ample cooking supplies, and stayed cool from the cross-breezes and fans througout.

You know the place is great when her husband texts the kids and says the following: Mom picked a beautiful spot for our last 7 days! We can walk 100 yards to snorkel, and the VRBO is almost unbelievable. Aloha!!!

Relax in Milolii!

What a wonderful place to stay! The property was so clean and the area was quiet . The views from the deck were superb and it made leaving the house for the day very hard! To swim it’s definitely challenging to enter and exit water but worth the effort ! My parents (75) were not able to get in as the terrain to enter and exit was too treacherous . My sister and I enjoyed the paddle boards and I swam everyday! Make sure to plan ahead as the drive “up the hill” is an event! We would definitely stay again - it had the island vibe we were looking for! The property manager was so helpful and quick to respond to any of our questions

Ocean side

It’s a beautiful open home with lots of privacy from neighbors and freedom to explore the ocean. Lovely ocean views and sounds. We mid jump in the ocean and used the snorkel equipment provided. Lots of yellow tangs, parrot fish and the Hawaiian state fish. Not ver many see urchins. Comfortable beds and a peaceful place!

Peaceful Paradise!

Our stay was so incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The neighborhood is very quiet and perfect for walking any time of day taking in the breathtaking views of the ocean. No whale sightings but the dolphins sure did put on a show as we watched from the expansive deck. The bed was SO comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed.

The Koni Kai is a nice place to enjoy the ocean and the waves the waves were huge while we were here the house is nice and it is very peaceful here we loved our stay

Trip to the Big Island

Loved this property. The amazing views from every room of the home were amazing. Nice and secluded - just like I wanted. Had a rental car so we were still able to tour so many beautiful sights on the island.

Wonderful Location away from it all

This is a great hide away with some excellent snorkeling for one or two couples looking for quiet rest and relaxation. Close proximity to Volcano National Park. Not ideal for small kids.

Perfect location on the ocean. Private and quiet. Great Deck and access to water. Master bedroom and shower overlooking ocean is fantastic. Very clean and layout is a 10. Geikos add to the ambience. Do all your own cooking and grilling so bring food !

A piece of paradise

We couldn't have found a more perfect place to stay. From snorkeling in the crystal clear waters, to watching the sunset over the Pacific, this house is a must see. We traveled here all the way from Florida and we are already planning a return trip.

Wonderful home, beautiful ocean views

This is the second time my sister and I stayed at this property. It is very peaceful at this location and if we were any closer to the ocean we would be in it. The home is clean with excellent kitchen and bathroom amenities. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. I highly recommend the property and will always stay here when visiting the big island!

Amazing get away

Loved this location so much! It’s remoteness and quiet area is what attracted us to this listing. Right on the water and able to swim and snorkel. No sandy beaches but beautiful and different lava rock all around. Highly recommend for adults.
