Could be better

Instructions for 4 digit code did not specify an additional button to be used at end of code. Quality of accommodations would be fine at half the cost (maybe), but not for cost paid. Early check-in costs an additional 50, even if ready. Will not rent this property or use the property management company again.

Quiet and comfortable

The unit was spacious, tidy, and comfortable. An easy two or three block walk to the beach access. Easy though longer walk to downtown. Quiet neighborhood. Kitchen very well equipped. However, the internet was very slow, so don't plan on "working from home." Though clean and tiddy, there were signs that regular maintenance was lacking, e.g., burned out porch and bathroom lights, dirty bathroom and heater grills, barely any hand soap left in kitchen.

Great location, missing important amenities

Pros: - awesome location, quick walk to the beach and there’s a nice playground across the street - nice selection of kids toys, books, and dvds - Cute house overall Cons - I didn’t catch that there was no dishwasher listed in the amenities; there IS a dishwasher in the kitchen, but it is broken - laundry machine is unusable, requires that the user turn knobs that are seized up As much as we enjoyed the property, having TWO busted appliances is pretty egregious. I’ve stayed at a lot of coastal rentals over the years and never had that experience.

Perfect for Families

The perfect weekend getaway. The playground is right across the street, beach access is just a few minutes away and the area is super quiet. They even have some great toys for little travelers (18months). Just don’t forget to bring your own hairdryer. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Excellent location. Clean and comfortable home. Well stocked with children's toys and DVDs for rainy days. Communication was a bit off with the owner due to what we felt were VRBO's unclear policies. Would definitely rent again

Great Location in Manzanita

We had a great stay at this property in Manzanita! The location is wonderful, just a few minutes walk from the beach. It's also great if you have young kids along due to the easy walk to the park that is just down the street. The house was a little dated and a lot of things were dusty, but it was comfortable and the perfect size for our group.

Great location!

We loved this cozy spot and the location couldn’t have been better! Our only complaint was that the dining room light flickered the whole time and we didn’t anticipate no door for the upstairs bedroom.

Great location and nice home

Very nice and comfy place. Lots of towels and the kitchen had plenty of tools. Great location. The park is right across the street and the beach and town are an easy walk with kids. I would never book this place again though because I got bitten by a spider or some bug the first night while sleeping in the back bedroom. It caused my eye, face, hands and ankles to swell and extreme discomfort. I had to go to urgent care for prescriptions. My husband also got a nasty bite. I told Meredith lodging but so far have not heard anything about it.

Wonderful place by the sea

Just a great place for a family or just a couple to stay. Close to town with an easy walk and just down the street to the beach. Tons of movies, books, games in case you forgot yours or want something new.

Great location but needs some updating

This is such a great location to the beach and town. You could park your car and walk everywhere you want to go. If you have kids, there is a park/playground right across the street. The interior of the house is clean, but the furnishings need to be replaced. The living room furniture is uncomfortable, a few kitchen cabinet doors are barely hanging on, and the bedding looks like something you would pick up from Goodwill. Paper products left in the house are probably the cheapest you can buy. The kitchen is stocked with all the amenities you would need. Great location.

Friends getaway

We would stay there again! Short walk to the beach and the house was very nicely decorated and nicely appointed kitchen. I had difficulty using the code to lock up using the directions inside the house so I used the assigned code instead.

Location is great

Location is perfect for the beach and the Main Street. Kitchen has what you need- the cottage is a bit run down and the furniture (comfort) could use an upgrade.

Manzanita Bungalow

Our overall impression was positive, however, there was only one full bathroom, the place is a big dark and the micro didn't work. It was great distance to the beach, lovely walking area around the home and fun area to be in. We enjoyed our stay in this cozy little place.

Lovely little house!

This house is fairly basic “rental property” in terms of its furniture and amenities, but it fit the bill for our family perfectly! It has very comfortable beds, plenty of linens, towels, and beach towels, plenty of plates and utensils, abundant hot water, and a nice washer and dryer. There is an entire closet full of toys and games, which delighted my 3-year-old to no end. It’s an easy 3 minute walk to the beach (and that’s with tiny 3-year-old steps), 3 minute walk to shops and restaurants, and right across the street from the park! Quiet street with quiet neighbors and plenty of privacy. We really enjoyed our stay. My only suggestion (admittedly a small one) is to put a hair dryer in the bathroom.

House was clean. Kitchen and dining area were great. Offered numerous cds and living room was comfortable as were the beds. Fantastically close to the beach and walking distance to town. Will definitely stay here again!

So easy get away!

So cute outside - squirrels and uncomfortable inside

I hate leaving a below average review! But while this house is cute on the outside, but desperate for updates. The furniture is from the 90’s and it shows. The tv stand and odd shelf next to take up the room that could otherwise be space for additional seating and the layout of the room is just awful. Throughout the house are awkward bookshelves and clumsy nightstands that serve little purpose. The sofa and only chair are flat and uncomfortable. The sofa has sunken so deep, your legs rest against the bar at the front of it. Not only is the furniture uncomfortable, there just isn’t much of it. The beds are fine. The master has an overwhelming amount of storage that just gets in the way. Worst, there are squirrels in the ceiling. They kept us awake two of our three nights there. When we called, the service team apologized, said they notified maintenance, but otherwise did nothing. (It would have been appropriate to offer a small refund for the inconvenience and disruption). The kitchen is large and more than appropriate and the dining space is fine. The kitchen could use some more dishes… it seems many must have broken over time and we’re replaced by other incomplete sets. I love the location and wished this was a more comfortable and convenient place to stay.
