Unit was close to beach and pool. Unit was clean and had everything that we needed,incl beach towels, beach chairs ,umbrella and cart.One negative: WiFi felt like dial-up connection , but since I had 5G data on phone it was not real issue

Too old and dated

The location was great. We were able to walk to the beach every day. However the condo although very clean is worn out and dated and we will not return.

Sadly the condo was very very dirty. Floors look like they haven’t been washed in months. The sofa and chairs are so dirty that we didn’t want to sit on them.Condo definitely needs updating. Shower door doesn’t close, kitchen cabinets need updating- some do not close properly. The location is great, pool very nice.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just returned from our wonderful vacation on Marco Island. Our condo was great! It was clean and spatious. The laundry was a great plus. Not all places on Marco have a private laundry room. The location was great as well, just a short walk to the beach. The storage room was stacked with everything a family would need for the beach and more. We truly loved it. We would rent the same condo in the future. The owner is amazing and willing ensure we had a great stay. Thank you Chris.

Unit 203 South Week of 3/23/24

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our 3rd time in a row staying in this unit. We stay here due to its location to the beach and food options. The location of the property is amazing. As explained in prior reviews, the unit in general is old, stale. The couch and chair are worn out, the bed is not comfortable anymore, and the TV is old. Some simple upgrades like furniture (bed, couch, chair), carpet and a smart TV bigger than the 20in they have are modest upgrades. The unit price continues to go up every year, but nothing is being put back in the unit, no updates. I guess the other side of that coin is we keep coming back, basically because of location. Last year the response was the owners were going to update the unit, but there were new towels and knives and that's it. I wish they'd invest in the unit a bit seeing that the rates continue to rise, but we keep coming. Looking at other options next year, overall we enjoyed our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We prefer to stay on Marco Island in this area of S Collier. Short walk to beach access, easy walk to Marco Walk “mall” where there is multiple restaurants, boutique shopping & movie. This Essex unit is a little dated compared to others BUT is extremely clean and comfortable. The unit is well stocked with all linens, kitchen tools/accessories and beach items. Only recommendation to the owner is update the master bed mattress and the only reason for 4 out of 5 rating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would definitely return to this unit, and recommend to others.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very quiet location near the beach with an easy 7 minute walk to the sand or 10 minutes to some very nice restaurants. We enjoy the Tommy Bahama beach chairs provided which allow us to easily back pack our stuff to the beach. Very nice pool.

Essex 203S Review

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2nd year staying in 203S at the Essex. The location has to be one of the best non-beach front locations in Marco. For location, it's absolutely phenomenal. The unit is in desperate need of a modern upgrade. From the living room furniture to the beds, and the TV's are very dated. The carpet might need an upgrade in the next few years. Kitchen supplies are adequate. The pool was very enjoyable as well if you can tolerate the scowls from the retired folks when the kids arrive. Overall, great stay mostly due to location. Hopefully the unit can get some upgrades as we left the same review last year.

Had a fantastic time

Had a fantastic time. Loved the location: it was super close to the public beach access and also a few stores including a 7-Eleven. People around the property were very nice the area was quiet. We eat dinner outside every night, and enjoyed watching the passerby. We loved the tennis court &the pool. We also went running in Marco Island and loved jogging around the island. It felt nice and spacious for a two bedroom apartment. I would recommend replacing the pillows and the master bedspread.

Great rental at Marco Island

Great walking distance to beach. Unit clean and well stocked with staple items. Large bedroom and bathrooms with walk in closet. Washer and dryer and dishwasher in unit as well as microwave and toaster oven, toaster and of course stove and refrigerator. TVs in both bedrooms and living room. Loved the lanai.

Ice maker didn’t work, problems with garbage disposal... Second bedroom ok but master bedding, etc was too old, to used! Mattress cover kept slipping, old pillows!

Another beautiful stay on Marco Island

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Being a second time renter, I was pleased yet again with all of the accommodations. It’s almost like it’s your own home but in the most beautiful place in the world. I love renting from MIVP because everything is available for you. You really don’t have to bring much with you when packing. Essex 203 South is a 5 minute walk to the beach. It makes it so easy. We loved going to Sunset bar for dinner across the street. Of course, we can’t wait to come back next year!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit is a nice size for a family or a couple. The kitchen had the necessities also. I agree with previous posts that the decor is dated but clean, linens and towels a little worn. There isn't a remote for the TV in twin bedroom. The week we were there with 3 kids under 5 they were redoing the parking lot so we were told to park across and down the street after the mgr.? threatened to tow our cars!! The public access fot the beach is near and the pool is clean too!

July 2019 Stay

Overall it was a pleasant experience and the condo was fine, quiet for the most part and clean. Our suggestion would be to replace the beach towels - most were frayed or so thread bare that there was no point in using them. One towel actually says 1992 on it, time for a replacement? Close proximity to beach and other places.

My in-laws enjoyed their stay in Marco. Location was key. An easy walk to the beach and to shopping and restaurants. The unit was quiet. New windows are nice. Newer full size washer and dryer Other updates needed as unit is very outdated. Kitchen cabinets and furniture for the most part are old and worn. Old carpeting, towels and beach towels should be replaced. Just getting rid of carpet and tiling would be a huge improvement. 2nd bath floor needs attention, looks dirty. Refrigerator was leaking water inside, ants and several lights and batteries were out. (Ie., clock not working). Some dishes dirty. The light on lanai would light and then fade off within the first three minutes. A better pre arrival check would have been helpful for this unit. I would not book this unit again unless was completely updated. It needs some TLC.

Reviewer Comments: perfect location near south beach and walking distance to shops, restaurants... so overall an enjoyable experience! a few suggestions - could upgrade refrigerator, one plastic drawer was cracked. closet light in master bedroom didn't work. porch rug could be replaced. storage closet by parking needs to be cleaned up. Spot on couch (chocolate?) Red lamp shades a bit outdated. there were 2 new beach chairs in closet but not for us to use. Sheets may have been new, but bottom sheet torn in master bedroom. I hate to complain because I love Marco! - but truth be told this unit could use some facelifts. Property management staff excellent.
