Overall, a nice place. The floors were a little sticky and it could use some safety updates like the cable box in the main bedroom was hanging free with cords which wasn’t ideal for having toddlers.

We had a nice couple days at 214. It’s in a great location to walk to the beach and go to restaurants that are walking distance. Check in and check out was smooth. Good communication. I liked all the storage in the master bathroom. My only input would be to update the couch and chairs. Seem pretty worn. I liked the tile floor through the main area and bathrooms. We had a bay view but it was limited in order to see the sunset. Lots of great parking and it has an indoor pool for anyone who has kids for rainy days. Having the washer and dryer was very convenient. It was overall a great experience for us.

Small But Nice

Four of us stayed in this condo and even though it was small, it worked for us. The only downfall was the dryer was not working and we were not made aware of this. I would’ve packed a few extra things had I known I couldn’t do any laundry while there. The beds were comfortable, and the condo was nice.

Makai - will not stay again

This property smelled from the time you walk through the front doors . Step into the elevator and it looks like it has not been cleaned in months . As we got on to our floor ( 2nd floor), it smelled like mold . The rug looked like it was not vaccuumed or washed for months . As entering our suite , the room was spacious but the dishes were dirty, headboard was gross , and bathrooms were not clean . The AC ran all night and was loud .

Great rental!

A few friends and I have been doing an annual trip to OC. We’ve stayed at Makai 2 times so far and think it’s great. Location is super convenient. Close to a lot of the good restaurants and bars. Condo itself could have been a little better kept but definitely a nice place to stay. Will return next year!!

Missing the Mark

We stayed in this condo in July 2020 and we will not return. The property has a disheveled feel to it. If the owner just put a little more effort into the furnishings and cleanliness, this would be a great condo. I sent a list of the items that needed to be corrected to the owner, so hopefully those will be taken care of. The fact that there is a 19in combo VHS tape/TV set in the second bedroom is a prime example of the owner not caring enough to invest. Considering there are flat screens in the living room and master, I cant’t figure out the reason to leave such an outdated tv in the second bedroom. Suffice to say, we didn't watch it. Also, the TV and cable cords are hanging and present a choking hazard for small children. On a positive note, the beds were very comfortable in both bedroom, so we slept well. We enjoyed the location of the condo but all of the other small items added up to us not wanting to return.

Perfect for us

We were here for the motorcycle rally as a vendor so it was prefect to walk next door to get to the convention center where we were working all week.
