Thanksgiving

Property needs updating. There were doors being replaced but the work had not been completed. We had to pick up all the construction debris on the decks and throughout the back yard including nails and screws. Property was not clean.

House has a great layout and great location!

We loved this house! The layout of the home was perfect for our group and our golden retriever. We loved the location! The house could have been cleaner and the pool turned green after a day of rain but we had a great trip. The host is so friendly, quick to reply, and very accommodating.

FABULOUS!!!

We had an amazing week. We have stayed at this home several times. It is perfect for our family. Betsy and Drew are both very accommodating to our needs. They made sure that there was a wheelchair ramp upon arrival for my sister to be able to access the deck. The location is perfect, everything is a short drive or walk away. The pool area is beautiful. Highly recommend this home!!

Amazing house ; great location

We had the best time imaginable. Our family has been doing a beach trip for the last 17 years. This was by far our favorite. The house is great. Th teenagers enjoyed the theater room and pool. The owners and their handyman were prompt in communications. Best beach trip ever!!!!

Outstanding!

This is a lovely home with every convenience one could ask for. The location, ease of getting to the wide expanse of beach, completely stocked kitchen, theatre room, pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen were only a few of the amenities. A wonderful week for our family.

Perfect Week

Our family goes to the beach every year and this had to be the best. Weather was perfect and a beautiful beach. Everybody enjoyed the pool and theater room. Great washer/dryer. 2 icemakers came in real handy too. We had an elevator issue but Drew was out in about 10 minutes to get us through. Overall 10 out of 10. Thanks for sharing your lovely home.

Wonderful Time

This is our second time staying in this beautiful home. Everyone, our kids and grandchildren, truly enjoyed our vacation here. The house has everything you need. We had one rainy day and the grandchildren loved watching movies in the theater room. Elizabeth and Drew immediately answered any questions we had. We will definitely be back next year!

This house has everything!

It's rare when you don't have to leave the property you rented. We had everything we needed. A billiards table, a table to work on a puzzle, a pool for the warmer days, the hot tub used every day and the beach steps away. The bonus was having a theater room for the whole family. The movie JAWS seemed appropriate (haha). We would absolutely rent again!

Just Perfect!

Betsy we could not have asked for a better house for our family reunion at Christmas. I think we enjoyed every amenity…except for the pool! It was the perfect setting for a special time together. A few things need attention: - light over breakfast room table is temperamental and sometimes does not respond to the all switch - the dishwasher deptergent capsule does not stay closed resulting in poor cleaning sometimes - bottom step from dune deck to beach needs replacing - blinds on left of sliding door in master bedroom cannot be turned, Theses are minor issues. We all thank you SO very much! He Steen Family

Beautiful ocean view. The house is well maintained and has everything you want for a beach vacation. We fish. We cook a lot of seafood. Watch sports. Sit and walk on the beach as much as we can!

September Family Reunion at Emerald Isle

The oceanside location is wonderful. The beach is clean, quiet and low density. The pool is a wonderful alternative for entertaining children. Four King bedrooms and more kid bedrooms provided privacy for 4 families (8 adults, five young children). The house was clean upon arrival and well stocked with staples. Check-in was smooth and communications with both property manager and owner were quick and easy. We experienced Ophelia's rath during our visit but stayed safe inside. Our dogs were welcomed and they had places to run in an enclosed space outside. The elevator is a life saver bringing in and out supplies. This is a great property for large families to play together in a wonderful community.

Wonderful vacation home for large families

We had up to 13 people at any one point (some were coming, some going) and it still accommodated us all very well. The view of the ocean is amazing and all the decks make it easy to enjoy. The pool is also very nice, and was a good respite from the salt and waves. Very relaxing and very well maintained!

Perfect location beautiful views

Our family vacation was perfect! The beautiful views of the ocean, sun rising and setting, the location to shops and the bike trails. It made for a perfect trip for us all! Not to mention the gorgeous home, convenient set up, upgraded appliances, cleanliness, and owner communication. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay immensely!! There was plenty of room and the beds were very comfortable. Having the extra refrigerators and ice machine were an extra bonus. The view of the beach was gorgeous and we were blessed with good weather. Everyone enjoyed the theater room and the pool. We appreciated the easy communication with our host, they were great. Great place for families

Great location and beach access. House was clean and has nice floor plan for multiple families. Beautiful view of the ocean on main floor with balcony on main level and third level. Highly recommend.

Top notch home with great amenities

This house is now one of our favorite summer places. The house was great, the location was great and the amenities were over the top. Pool, which we heated was really nice, hot tub was nice, floats and toys made it extra special. House was incredibly stocked with spices, kitchen utensils, power strips, towels, boogie boards, etc., etc. - Amazing really. Owners were responsive to my questions. We will be back if we can get in :)

Fantastic house in a fantastic location

We had a great time at this well appointed house on the beach. You can’t beat this location and everything in the house worked, including the short throw projector in the movie room. Even when the beach was crowded just down at the public location there was no one in front of the house. We had a private beach for the whole week. We would definitely stay here again. A+!

Amazing Family Time

The house and property were amazing! Everything was as described or better. The views from the porches were incredible. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked. The surprisingly large dining room table (12-14) was perfect for meals and games alike. It’s flat glass and so easy to clean - it’s the little things! There is also a 6-8 person kitchen table and barstools around the kitchen counter. The open kitchen, dining, living room is great space. The kids loved the first floor game room with pool table and the theater - Home Alone II never disappoints. The pool (heated to a nice 88 degrees) and hot tub (heated to a hot 104) were great. We enjoyed steaks and oysters on the grill. The homeowners were very responsive, Amy kept the pool and hot tub in good condition and was very friendly, and Drew the property manager was great. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I have been coming down to Emerald Isle together for many years and find it the perfect location to enjoy family reunions which we do annually. The local people are incredibly friendly and welcoming and nothing is more restorative than spending a relaxing week on the beach with a good book surrounded by family and friends.

The location of the house on the island is outstanding. Its an easy walk to the island's water park and mini-golf off Islander Drive (check it on Google Maps satellite view). Multiple Restaurants and the movies are also walk-able. Kayak and local pub are just a stroll away and if you have your own kayak you can launch it into Bogue Sound from Emerald Isle Woods- a little public park about a mile and ½ from the house. The address is 9404 Coast Guard Road and there is no charge. The park also offers hiking trails and there is parking available.
