The yard is not fenced in as advertised, and the unit desperately needs to be updated. The house is spacious, but not anywhere I would recommend having kids due to outdated electrical. Amazing location, and easy to work with Jekyll Realty.

Great location with easy beach access

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home, like many on Jekyll, is an older ranch that could stand to be updated. There is some deferred maintenance that should be addressed (front screen door literally falling apart for example). The kitchen is a bit of a cave. And one bathroom sink was completely full of sand and wouldn't drain when we checked in (there's no way the cleaning crew could have missed it). Having said that, the price was reasonable, the location is great, the property manager was responsive, and it's on Jekyll. So we had a great time and we'd gladly stay in this home again. To focus on the positive... there are smart TVs in the living room and every bedroom, the air conditioning works well, the ping pong table is a nice addition (note it's in the garage which isn't climate controlled), the home was clean and tidy.

Totally fit our needs.

We were happy with the location of the rental - close walk to the beach and a quiet neighborhood. The property was clean, well maintained, casual and welcoming. We enjoyed being able to use the garage to store beach equipment. The backyard was nice. The outside shower and water hose were handy for sand cleanup. The floor plan was great. The beds were comfortable. Our stay was very enjoyable. We would recommend the vacation rental.

Great Location

This home is in a great location. We really enjoyed how close it was to the beach. As a family that enjoys cooking when renting houses, I recommend adding new kitchen pots and pans. They are very old, and we had a hard time with what was available for us to use. We tried communicating with the host during our stay and even after to let them know about a few issues and never received a response. The house could really use a deep clean but overall we enjoyed the location and made the best of our stay.

Very Nice Cottage

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a VRBO cottage in Jekyll Island, GA, and it exceeded all my expectations! The cottage was a charming, cozy haven that provided the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The location was unbeatable - nestled amidst the serene beauty of Jekyll Island, just a stone's throw away from the beach. We were treated to stunning sunsets and peaceful morning walks along the shore. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated and well-maintained, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage was spotless, and they had thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. The fully equipped kitchen made meal preparation a breeze, and the comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep. In summary, our stay at this VRBO cottage on Jekyll Island was a memorable experience. It's the perfect place to unwind, enjoy nature, and create lasting memories. I would highly recommend this charming cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful escape. We can't wait to return!

Good property for vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed staying at the property, it was quiet and located close to a beach access point. The backyard is large and nice, however note that as of June 2024 the yard is NOT fenced in. Some of the older reviews mention a fenced in yard for pets, which is no longer the case.

Very Nice Cottage Review

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I wish the back yard was fenced in. It also needs to be maintained better. Low Dead limbs hanging over stepping stones so you had to walk around. Shrubs were over grown. Just needs to have a lawn company get the back yard in shape. The dishwasher door wouldn’t close unless you lifted the counter top a little bit to get it to close.

With little ones who needed frequent trips back to the house, the location was perfect for us! The house is older and doesn’t have a lot of updates but it’s great for kids and exactly what we needed. Jekyll is always a magical place for me!
