Our stay was great, only we had to cut it short by one day! Loved being close to the river, loved the train!!! The cabin was great, clean, very comfortable! Had an issue getting tv, but we weren’t there to watch tv!!saw turkey, deer, bighorn sheep!! Would love to come back next year!!

Wonderful stay! A few glitches occurred, but the owner (extremely friendly and caring) was very quick to get the items corrected and ensured that the stay would be as best as it could be. Fantastic location, literally being adjacent to the river was so peaceful and relaxing. The trains going by added to this relaxing atmosphere. Lots of wildlife too.

Fun On The Kootenai River

What a wonderful place to stay. Right on the river, abundant wildlife, lots of trains going by and beautiful views. We LOVED sitting out on the deck each night. Great home base for lots of things to do in North Western Montana. The owners were amazing. We will certainly be back.

Hidden Gem!

Beautiful, spacious, comfortable and clean property right on the Kootenai River! Surrounded be wildlife throughout the trip, it was amazing. Very close to an endless trail along the river for daily hikes. Close to town for groceries too. The hosts were so kind - highly recommend!!

River Road Stay

Was a nice cozy cabin with excellent views on the river. Weren’t their during much of the daylight as doing the tourist thing visiting local attractions. Recommend touring the Libby Dam but there a lot of stairs and walking. Ross Creek Cedars are another pleasant outing.

Relaxing and beautiful

The cabin is in an amazing location! It was so cozy and comfortable. Air conditioners in each bedroom as well as the living room. Quietarea. Firepit in the yard. The nearby train wasn't disruptive. This is going to be my first when I need a couple days to unwind and take in the beauty of Montana!

away in the woods

the cabin was great, we had lots of things to do during the day but it was nice to come back and have a warm dry place to sleep and clean up. would definitly go back again to this same place. people were great to work with.

Oh my goodness, this is Heaven on earth!

We were two older couples looking for a getaway. Found this place online and booked it. The hostess was amazing at communicating and so hospitable. The house was clean, well equipped, and very well laid out for 2 couples. Two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The river is right out front so the guys fished a lot. We got to enjoy seeing geese and deer in the yard and an eagle in the tree across the river. Very serene area. Libby has everything a person needs for stores. We want to go back as soon as possible. Waiting for an opening. Thanks Charlotte and Randy!

think twice

It was a convenient place for us. It was well stocked, tidy, and and easy to manage, however, it was not as peaceful as the setting pictured. between traffic and trains going 3-5 times a night and throughout the day across the river, it was all but serene. With that being said, there was ample wildlife such as deer, turkey and local sheep out on the road. River was accessible by foot. If you are a woman looking for pretty colorful and dainty place, it is definitely not your place. the décor is mostly brown much like a man cave. It is a perfect hunting cabin. slide door in the bathrooms would be challenging for individuals with hand issues. Never met the owners neighbors were nice.

Great stay

This place was incredible! So clean (with no gross air fresheners or over-the-top fabric softeners). The view was spectacular, great location, and easy to access. Excited to come back next year.

Great Location

We have a quick weekend trip to our favorite little MT town. We had an amazing weekend and got some much needed rest. Cabin has all the amenities needed except for a measuring cup. LOL. And sprinklers turn on exactly at 11PM so fires are cut short especially when it doesn't get dark till 10PM. Check in and out are easy and unlike most rentals didn't have a laundry list of check out procedures. Will definitely stay again!

Amazing stay

I only wish I would have stayed longer. This place exceeded my expectations. It’s spacious, clean, comfortable and adorable. We were 4 women over 40 on a girls and had plenty of space. The deck was wonderful to sit and watch the river. The path leads to the river. Every detail was thought out. We had a relaxing and wonderful stay. We will definitely add this to our annual trip stops.

We have family that settled in this area 2 generations ago. We enjoy the distinct seasons and the variety of activities that these seasons offer.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Cabin is located on the banks of the Kootenai River where you can sit on the back deck watching and listening to the river flow as well as being able to look around to mountain views. We are especially blessed to have varied wildlife frequent the property ( big horn sheep, white tail deer, turkeys, pheasants, and bald eagles.)
