This was our first yurt stay and it was beautifully decorated in Alaska style. The view out the front patio was amazing! Our host communicated clearly and is highly recommended to work with.

This is a wonderful spot in the foothills of Murphy Dome just northwest of Fairbanks. The yurt is an intimate space, yet spacious - great for 1, 2, 3, or 4 guests, and can accommodate kids too. Great views of the Alaska Range and northern lights, located at the base of Moose Mt. Ski area. Super-communicative host. Easy access to/from town and local attractions. Would definitely stay again!

Just as advertised. Got to see the northern lights but not from the rental, close by top of Murphy’s Dome. Drive to Denali for horses and hiking. Drive to Chena Springs. Just be aware, the bedrooms don’t have doors. Didn’t matter for us but it might for you. Colleen was great.

The Aurora Yurt was just as advertised, and the photos are accurate. The view from the deck is amazing, with high, snow covered peaks to be seen on clear days. The living spaces are comfortable--lots of cozy places to sit. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, so cooking at home is possible. The only thing I would mention is that the yurt has a water pump, which is quite loud every time one runs water or flushes the toilet. This might bother light sleepers, but it certainly doesn't detract from the special character and coziness of this mountain treasure. We saw porcupines and heard wolves howling in the early morning. Host was easy to communicate with and answered all questions clearly and promptly. We were very happy there!! A walk at the top of Murphy Dome is a must.

There was a blizzard while I was visiting. The host reached out to make sure we were safe and offered us some tire cables if needed. Very thoughtful. Clean and beautiful living space. Thank you!

The place was beautiful. It was clean, fully stocked and well maintained. Convene stop. To Ester Dome and viewing. The only not so great was the hot water didn’t last more than 20 minutes.

Wonderful Stay

Super relaxing, lovely yurt for a short trip to Fairbanks. We were lucky enough to see the aurora from right out front. The location is great, easy access to town for food etc, but removed enough to have a quiet trip.

The yurt was clean, spacious and comfortable. It had all of the amenities of home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and hope to do it again next year!

Northern Lights!!

We came to see the Northern Lights and enjoy Fairbanks. The Aurora Yurt was a great place to retreat to at the end of a long adventure filled day. It was also great for viewing the Aurora right out the front door

Fairbanks area yurt

Spent 3 nights in Colleen's yurt. A very well kept and supplied yurt with ac during our 85* days. It's located about 20 minutes from town.
