Had a great experience at the Tahoe Pines cabin. Check in was smooth with clear instructions. The cabin was clean and had plenty of space for my wife and I and our four teenage/pre-teen kids. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen and dining area worked great. The hot tub was nice after a day of hiking and swimming in the chilly lake water. Back yard was spacious. Nice quiet neighborhood. Very nice to have the washer and dryer in the cabin. Central location on the west side of the lake close to Tahoe City to the north and Meeks Bay Beach, Emerald Bay, and South Lake Tahoe to the south. Great place!

The cabin was fine for my son and my visit to Tahoe for a 3 night stay in the area of the Lake that I was looking for- nicely located!Clean! Beds comfy! No microwave or blow dryers ?? But we ate out each night as planned. So all well there!

Adorable cabin! Definitely felt comfortable there, great location, and had the best time! Cabin was clean, water pressure was amazing, and it made our girls strip extra special! Would highly recommend!!

Nice cabin

We enjoyed the home. It has a great kitchen and comfy couch. We liked the location on the lake and access to a dock. We appreciated being able to enjoy our vacation with our dog. The hot tub was wonderful after a day of kayaking.

Property is in lovely, quiet neighborhood on west side of Lake Tahoe. It has easy access to biking and walking trails with grocery store close in Tahoe City. Property Manager answered questions before and during the stay in a prompt, courteous manner. I would stay here again but have a few suggestions to make it even better. Consider adding more comfortable seating on upper decks and backyard as they were nice places to feel that CA sun! Please put a microwave in the kitchen. Thank you!

Cute house in a peaceful neighborhood

This was a peaceful spot on west shore with two bedrooms -- one for us and one for our kids. The communication with the owner and check in process were as easy as can be. The only constructive note is that some of the cookware was not quite clean (and the tea pot no longer whistles, so pay close attention to your boiling water!). Also recommend a little container to keep newspaper and tinder for starting fires in the fire place (thank you for the abundant wood). Minor details just to note - we had a wonderful week and are welling with gratitude!

It was extremely cold in the home when we arrived and it took it until the next day to get the home warm. The rules like stripping the beds of the sheets and such is a reason why I would not rent a home again. Also, the utensils and pans were dirty. I had to wash many items before using them. The dishwasher door was not aligning to close evenly. There were no cups to drink out of. I feel like there should be cups as there were plates, utensils etc. I felt like we were taking care of the cleaning tasks and I do not enjoy that as I pay to stay somewhere.

This property is absolute home away from home

Spending quality time with our small family is very important to us and this cabin provided that homy and cozy feeling. The communication was excellent. We love the close proximity to the pier and far away from touristy area. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Carpets relatively worn and walls dirty, marked up. No grass in yard but a lot of debris and some trash, we found a lot. of ancient dog poop among the weeds, so if you have a dog that looks for that, it's a problem. Some old bottle caps and nails in the rear yard also with spider webs on the deck etc

Perfect Stay

My family and I stayed here for a few days of skiing at Palisades. The house had everything that we needed, including an outdoor hot tub which hits the spot after a day of skiing. Easy access to the house and a short drive into town and to the slopes.

Wonderful house

Great size for our family of 3. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Kitchen was great size and had nice appliances. Was so nice that someone had plowed the driveway of snow before we even woke up. Was a little cold downstairs, but the provided space heater worked well. Excellent location. Overall great place. Highly recommend.

Great location, clean and cozy

The location is beautiful, nice neighborhood close to the lake and a few great cafe / food locations. Nice fenced in backyard and hot tub. Everything clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend and hope to return soon.

Winter wonderland

We arrived after a fresh snowstorm! The driveway was plowed, but the road was not quite. Charming neighborhood! The house is well laid-out, bathroom upstairs and on the main floor. Because it was about 17° outside, we were glad to have the use of a portable heater. The hatchet was missing, and there was no kindling paper, so we had a really hard time starting the fire (despite my husband and boys being expert fire-starters in all kinds of fireplaces, stoves, and outside, and despite the thorough instructions in the welcome paperwork). There was a faint smell of smoke, and we couldn’t decide if it was cigarette smoke or from the fireplace. The coffee maker is drip, bring your own filters (they’ll work as kindling in a pinch!). The hot tub was a wonderful place to relax after skiing! Place is mainly well-stocked—plenty of fire wood, lots of BBQ tools, lots of pots and pans, toaster, microwave, teapot, extra blankets. As with any rental kitchen, bring everything you’ll need for cooking—oil, salt, tinfoil, coffee grinds and filters, etc., as you don’t know what will be available or not. Beds were very comfortable. The key-box in front was frozen shut, but we shoveled our way to the door on the side and used the code with no problem. If staying in winter, bring rag towels for snow by the door, or slippers, or both. My kids tracked in a lot of snow, even though they took snow gear off by the door. Overall, a good place to stay.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!
House has all amenities you desire.
5 miles from Tahoe City, 3 blocks from 89, and the lake, in a very quiet, wooded, picturesque neighborhood. The backyard is flat, private, completely fenced, w/hot tub, BBQ, and we are pet friendly. Private access to the Tahoe Pines HOA Pier.
We Love the neighborhood, and stay at the Cabin ourselves frequently.

Location, location, location!!!
It is a private cabin, close to the beach, and the private Pier, and only 1 mile from Skiing at Homewood, which is awesome if you have kids as well. Best Breakfast on the lake just 1.5 miles down the road. Chambers Landing Beach and Historic Pier just 2 miles the other way, and Obexer's Marina & Boat Launch like .75 miles up the road. We love the location, and are sure You will too!
