Perfect Beach Getaway

This house was perfect for me and my three teens. We had plenty of room to relax and watch the soothing waves. There is a path directly to the beach and we loved walking morning and evening. Great place to spend a weekend or a week.

Fantastic View…Lacking Amenities

Can’t say enough about the fantastic view! The Gulf Of America right outside our door!However, the amenities were few. Our advise is bring your own dish soap to toilet paper and everything in between. The beds are subpar..could use new mattresses. You will also need to have the Black Flag nearby… lots of roaches. Additionally, would have been nice to have a real master bedroom… they use it as a kids bunk room..

Beach Sleepover

Property is beautiful and located perfectly. Everything was clean and easy to get to. Host responded quickly to any questions we had and provided any information we may have needed. A few draw backs, floor needs updating, Several spots you felt like you would step through. Please be aware we ran across a we rattlesnake hiding in the grass towards the beach.

This was our third time staying here and we will continue to come back. Excellent beach location, very clean and there is absolutely nothing lacking in the well-equipped kitchen. It is exactly as described. You will not be disappointed.

Lovely, comfortable beach house that offers an unobstructed view of the ocean.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well equipped, beds comfy and the short distance to the beach was fantastic! The stay was very relaxing and the kids loved the beach area as it was quiet and fairly private. We’d stay here again.

Squishy floor

There were floor soft spots all over the house. We we're worried about falling through. bug damage? Water damage? Other than that, the house was perfect.

Beautiful location

Gorgeous views! Arrived late at night and woke up to an amazing view of the gulf. Right on the beach with no obstruction. Absolutely loved it. Property was really nice, clean, and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Great beach access

The location was perfect. Just about a 30 second walk, if that. The 3rd bedroom has several bed for plenty of guest. Great location close to a small grocery store, coffee shop, pizza place as other small stores. The upstairs is unusable, as it’s a sitting area only, could possibly be used as a blow up mattress. Take a baby gate with you if you plan to have little children as the stairs are centrally located and of course the main attraction to littles! Everything worked great!

So relaxing and wonderful!

This house is further down the beach, so it isn’t over populated or busy. It’s still close to everything in Galveston while being peaceful and relaxing. Clean house, great kitchen, good water pressure, private shower downstairs to get all the sand off, and comfy seating. We had a great time!!

Vacation

Family vacation. The property is as pictured. Plenty of room. It is on two lots so it’s not right on the beach. The entire front of the house is all windows so all you see is the ocean! The garbage disposal did not work, I called and text to let them know. No one ever came to fix it while we were there. The kitchen has most everything you will need. However, it only had one frying pan and it was small so for breakfast we cooked our eggs in it while in the double ovens we had bacon in one and biscuits in the other! Over all it was great and relaxing.

First time renting

Everything was very relaxing and literally right at the beach. There was a minor issue to which it was quickly repaired and had no effect to our over all stay. My family is very pleased with this vacation and we are looking forward to reserve again in the future.

Great location! 3.5-4 Star Property….

This home is in a great location if you’re looking for a quiet beach stay! We enjoyed it with our 4 young adult children and there was plenty of room for all of us. The home itself is very comfortable and spacious. The ocean views are wonderful and the covered back porch makes it super easy to sit and enjoy the view! The pathway through the dunes is easy to navigate with beach gear and being right on the beach makes it so easy for family members to come and go from the beach! We loved everything about the home itself and the location! Unfortunately, as other reviewers have repeatedly pointed out, this home lacks in some basic amenities. The kitchen is poorly stocked if you’re planning on cooking (few & poor quality pots, pans, cookie sheets, etc) and has little in the way of practical serving dishes. There are only 5 coffee mugs so bring your own if your family are all coffee drinkers like ours. There are plenty of plastic plates, silverware and drinking glasses/cups (especially a ridiculous abundance of plastic margarita cups…???). Additionally, the bath towels are horrible. We only found one regular size bath towel — all others are the small bath towels which are more like a glorified hand towel, and all of which are extremely threadbare and rough. I understand they don’t want towels taken to the beach but it’s pretty disappointing not to provide a decent bath towel for guests. Lastly, the closets and various cabinets all had random personal items, which make it uncomfortable for a vacation rental. Since other reviewers referred to lack of bathroom/kitchen products, I’ll mention that hand soap, travel size bath products, a starter amount of dishwasher soap, one roll of paper towels and plenty of trash bags are provided. No laundry detergent so bring your own if you plan to use the washer/dryer. Because the pictures are a little unclear, regarding the floor plan of the home— the bunk room has an attached bathroom and is directly off the living room space. The 2 rooms with queen beds are to the right of the spiral stairs and share a hallway bathroom. The bathrooms themselves were good sized and clean. The spiral stairs lead to a small loft area with a small table and chairs set. Not really sure the point of that area other than small kids might enjoy it. In general, this property could definitely be 5-stars with just a little more attention to details! The kitchen, bathrooms, closets & cabinets all just need a good cleaning out & refresh.

Lovely house

Second time to stay in this lovely home and had a great time. Right on the beach with lovely views and access to the sand. Well equipped with all that you need. Only issue concerned the kitchen. Loads of space and cupboards but only 5 ill assorted mugs for tea/coffee and some were chipped. Way too many plastic margarita/drinks glasses but few cups. This beautiful house could do with a clear out of unnecessary kitchen clutter and more practical items. A couple of baking sheets for the oven etc. Brought our own kettle to make tea but would have been nice if one was there. Not a deal breaker and look forward to staying again though.

We loved our stay, the home, location and access to the beach. The home is just like pictured, clean and a great place to stay. It’s fabulous! - the best place we’ve stayed in all our years coming to the area.
