A good long weekend

Ben and I enjoyed a good long weekend at the correctly described Beautiful Lenox Home. Mary, your host, has thought of everything to help you feel comfortable and very quickly to adjust to your home away from home. It is very well located so that you can easily visit the many places of interest nearby. The rules for checking in and out were clear and simple. We are delighted give this a 5-star rating. David and Ben will return, for sure!

Great house with old fashioned charm

We had a great stay. The house was well furnished, with plenty of space for us, our children, and my parents. There was a nice dining room and a decent kitchen. Our kids loved the arcade machine and air hockey table, and it was a convenient location. The host was very responsive and friendly. The checkout rules were a bit stringent, and it had the quirks of an older house, but overall we loved the place and would highly recommend it to others.

Like going to your grandmother's house.

Very clean place. Decorated like your grandmother's house. Homey. And you get to use the garage--a big help on a snowy weekend. If you want convenience and cleanliness, this is a great spot. If you want quiet--skip. It's right on Rt. 7 and you have lots of traffic moving by at high speeds. But to their credit, there are many sound machines to drown it out.

Great spot in Berkshire County

We have stayed here twice and it is a great spot, located a few minute drive north of downtown Lenox. The house is cozy yet spacious and is great for our family to stay in while visiting family in the area. We used the kitchen to cook a meal during one of the stays and we had everything we needed. There is an air hockey table in the basement which the kids enjoyed. The house is on a main road, but it was still easy enough to pull in and out of and the noise of the road did not bother us at all. The host Mary is great and very responsive. We will be back. Thanks Mary!

A Gem of a Stay!

Mary was wonderful, the place was lovely, cozy and nicely updated and decorated. We were five adults needing a place to stay for the Berkshire Yoga Festival and I wanted to spend more time simply enjoying the home. A very positive experience!

Loved our stay

Our stay was fantastic, the house is cozy and well appointed. the beds are prefect, with plenty of warm blankets for a chilly Berkshire night. Our host was incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to ensure our comfort. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking a family meal. Can't wait to go back next year

Lovely house inside. Excellent and kind host. Upstairs bedrooms a bit confining with the bathroom in one of the bedrooms. We didn't like the location being right on Route 7.

Perfect location, easy check-in/check-out

Perfectly location for Lenox, Stockbridge, and other local towns. House was just as described and comfortable for a family of 5. Property contact was proactive, reaching out to make sure we were settled in. Pacman and air hockey games were a big hit! We would book again.

Church Ladies Getaway

Once the air conditioning clicked in, this property was just what we needed. We were concerned about the location close to the road but inside you are unaware and geographically we were in a perfect spot to access all the places we planned to visit. Our host was responsive and even reached out when storm warnings came to give advice. We had a great visit to a beautiful area of the Berkshires. Our finale to many years of travelling together!

A perfect place for a stay in the Berkshires

My grown daughter and I stayed here for a two night visit to the Berkshires. It was so nice to have an entire house rather than a hotel room! We received our check in email in plenty of time, the house was clean and furnished with generous amenities such as soaps, shampoos, coffee, etc., the owner was readily available. The house is close to the road, but it really wasn’t a problem…white noise machines and air purifiers made sleeping very comfortable, and there was very little traffic noise. The house has plenty of space for relaxing, including a lovely little porch and a great backyard space, which we didn’t use, but looked very appealing. The kitchen was well equipped, with all the appliances you’d need. We hope to come back next year!

Wonderful Valentine's Day Weekend in Lenox

We had a wonderful stay at Mary's property in Lenox. The house was beautiful and had a great amount of space for our family. The home was extremely clean, very well appointed, and the beds were so comfortable. The location was central to everything that we were looking to do and almost all of the activities that we enjoyed (snow tubing at Bousquet mountain, snowshoeing at Pleasant Valley, shopping in Lenox) were at most, 5-10 minutes away. Mary was very helpful with suggestions for area attractions and restaurants and was very responsive to any question that we had. We had a great time and would definitely stay at this property again.

Family Weekend in Lenox

The home was convenient to hiking, shopping and dining. It is on a busy street and can be a bit tricky getting in and out of driveway. Inside the home was warm and welcoming. The kitchen had all cooking pans and tools we needed to make meals. There is a great grocery store right down the road. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. The hostess was very helpful and attentive when we had a question about the heat. Be aware the staircase to upstairs bedrooms and 2nd bathroom are steep. The only not so great surprise was the long list of chores to be done before we checked out. I always leave a rental with nothing in the sink or left out on counters and dirty towels in the bathroom, etc. This list wanted all the beds stripped, garbages emptied and put out side, all the dirty towels downstairs, the dished washed and put away. This seemed excessive especially with the cleaning fee we already paid. Overall it wss a pleasant stay. Just keep in mind you have to clean before checkout.

Spacious yet cozy home in picturesque location

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time staying here this fall. There was plenty of space to spread out. From the complimentary bottle of wine to the comfortable beds, sofas, and blankets, to the host’s suggestions for restaurants and activities, it felt like staying at a friend’s home. The backyard was beautiful, and I enjoyed sitting out there and reading after going on a nearby hike and checking out the town center.

Just what we needed

Place is as it is described. It is cozy, clean and lots of room. We were happy with our stay! Owner keeps in good communication as well. I want to mention the area is amazing for people who are gluten and/or dairy free. Many places for breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts to eat at!

Beautiful and charming!

This is such a lovely home! It is older (the owner, Mary, told me it was built circa 1926), but this only adds to the charm. It is beautifully decorated, and spacious. The photos are a very good representation of the way the house looks inside. The ground floor has a living room, a formal dining room, a large master bedroom with bath, a central area with a sitting/reading nook, a large kitchen, a family room and an informal dining area. There is also a screened in porch, nicely furnished. The upstairs has two bedrooms, each with twin beds. There is one bathroom in one of these bedrooms that is to be shared by both bedrooms. The stairs are steep, and might not be easy for some people to navigate. The beds are VERY comfortable, downstairs and up! The kitchen is amply stocked with the items (pots and pans, cooking utensils, silverware, etc.) you might need to cook a meal. There is a coffee maker and an electric tea kettle. The washer and dryer are located in the basement, also with steep stairs to navigate. The back yard is well-treed and private...very pretty. Although the house is on a busy road, none of the four of us who stayed in the house had any trouble whatsoever with road noise. As others have stated, Mary has thoughtfully placed many sound machines all over the house, and they really do block the sound of traffic. Our stay was peaceful. The location is very handy to stores and restaurants in the Lennox and Pittsfield areas. Mary was very accessible to answer my questions. She walked me through the house over the phone as soon as we were inside, which was very helpful. I would recommend this lovely rental to anyone who does not have knee or hip problems. I do, however, my husband and I slept in the downstairs bedroom, and so stairs were no issue, and it really worked well for us. We just let the young ones take the upstairs bedroom. 😊 Thank you, Mary, for your helpfulness and attention to detail.
