We had a lovely stay! We did not get to see much wildlife but we certainly heard it! Communication with the house manager Rebecca was fabulous! She had suggestions of guides, activities and restaurants that were all excellent! It is open concept so you have to be ready for bugs, humidity and heat! The pool is a wonderful way to cool off! Thanks for sharing all the books-we have found a new to us author to continue to read once back home. Thanks for the memories! Pura Vida!

Property was great and felt like yard was part of the national park. The common area and the twin bedroom are open air, which was a little sho king since we arrived late at night but our group of 7 loved the house and would absolutely stay there again.

My Family had a wonderful time at this Villa. It was the perfect size, property was amazing and full of all the stuff we needed. The Cooler and Beach toys was a great bonus for my 10, 8, 6 year old boys for our beach outings. We spent 3 days there. Overall the stay was great, location was great. We saw tons of wildlife from frogs, lizards, Toucans and Howler Monkeys. I would stay at this spot again, loved the food near by, market right there with everything and only 5 minutes to everything in town. Thank you for the wonderful stay

Our stay in Costa Rica couldn't have been more perfect. The home was absolutely amazing and looked exactly as pictured. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway.Communication with the house manager, Rebecca, was flawless from start to finish. She was responsive, helpful, and made the entire process seamless.The property itself was quiet, private, and the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. The pool was a wonderful bonus, especially after spending time in the Costa Rican heat. One of our favorite experiences was being visited by howler monkeys and macaws right from the property—it made our stay feel truly magical.We had no issues during our visit and would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable Costa Rican vacation.Thank you for helping make our trip so special! 🦥

Our 7-night stay here was the perfect way to end our adventures in Costa Rica. The property's privacy, and local wildlife, really made it feel like we were in an oasis. While we practically lived in the pool, the living areas were comfortable (who doesn't love reading in a hammock?), and the kitchen was well-appointed. There are several restaurants and shops in the area, all walkable (depending on the heat!) or a short cab/bus ride. Rebecca was extremely helpful in providing useful local information, and helping us navigate travel to the park and then back to San Jose. Would absolutely stay here again if ever back in the area!

The house was amazing and Quepos is beautiful. We saw iguanas, macaws and other birds at the home. Very well located within driving distance of anything you could want to do, beaches, zip lines, parks, forests, etc.The only downside, and understanding this is something the owners and property manager cannot control, was the power going off three times during the week. While it is an open air house, when the fans are not going it can get pretty warm.However, my family had a great time, the restaurant right around the corner was delicious and very convenient with the market as well. We would recommend the home to anyone making their way to Costa Rica!

The place is amazing! At first, some of our group was concerned with the open concept and that they would wake up with bugs. But, that was not the case and all 7 of us had a wonderful time. We used the pool everyday after a day of exploring the area. One afternoon we had a gang of spider monkeys run thru the pool and deck chowing down on bananas. So cool. The gardener brough us bananas and showed us a 2 toed sloth! We will be back to this wonderful spot!

Our family of five had a wonderful time here. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed - including coffee which was very appreciated. Rebecca, the manager, met us upon arrival and showed us how to use the keys and where everything was. We preferred the shower on the main floor as it had better water pressure. The bathroom in the main bedroom downstairs had no door which was weird for us but it was nice having the second bathroom. We saw sloths every day which made my day! I would definitely recommend it here- being so close to the beach and Manuel Antonio was really great. Pura Vida!!

We knew Villa Tekla was going to be a good fit for us but it exceeded all our expectations. The two master bedrooms had aircon which was an added bonus. The top bedroom had fans so made the nights comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The highlight was time around the pool. We had daily visits from the squirrel monkeys and capuchins as well as the howler monkeys close one day. I would recommend downloading the Merlin App for bird noise identification - so many birds pass through and live in the grounds. Without a doubt this was one of our favourite properties ever! The greenery and wildlife means you are right in the jungle. We can’t recommend this villa enough. Just perfect.

Amazing Place!

We loved everything about our stay! The property is gorgeous. It's a lovely open air home on great grounds with lots of animals to see, a private pool, and everything you could need. The location is awesome. Very close to beaches, Manuel Antonio Park, and restaurants. I'd stay there again, in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay, the home is so unique! It was awesome to be surrounded by so much flora and fauna. It also felt completely private and off the beaten path, even though it was so close to town!

Great stay

Our family of six adults had a wonderful stay. Three bedrooms, two baths, well kept outdoor pool, very nearby convenience store, excellent walkable restaurants, easy busy to Park or town. The local manager Rebecca was available and very helpful. The villa is well appointed, in great location, and has all needed amenities. Highly recommended!

Secluded villa perfect for wildlife lovers

Traditional open air Costa Rican villa with beautiful surroundings. Plenty of space for families and a fabulous pool to relax in privacy. Great location close to beaches, restaurants, and a small grocery across the street. Wildlife sightings included!

Costa Rican Holiday

Private and quirky property but in a good way. Beautiful setting. Close to everything. Can be a bit buggy at dusk, but again, not troublesome. Reception was phenomenal and VERY welcoming. I'd definitely visit again.

Great stay in the rainforest!

This is a wonderful open-air villa a short walk from the supermercado and multiple restaurants. Rebecca helped arrange tours with reputable guides, and our kids spent hours in the pool every day. A great visit to Costa Rica and Manuel Antonio!

We really enjoyed our time at this house. Communication with host & property manager was clear & easy, and the location was convenient for the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area. We were slightly hesitant to sleep with no air conditioning, but were pleasantly surprised that the downstairs bedroom had a mini split, and found the fans to be sufficient for the upstairs bedroom. The downstairs bedroom/bathroom is completely separate from the main house, you have to go outside to access it, which actually worked out well for us, as it gave more privacy for two couples. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the furniture was comfortable for lounging in the living room. Bonus- a group of capuchins came through the yard on our very last morning, we had a great time watching them play by the pool!

Great stay!

Our stay was great. If you don’t mind howler monkeys partying all around at 5am, and a house that is fully open to the outdoors, this will be great for you. The pool is deep and huge, not too kid-friendly. The surrounding forest is full of animals, fruit trees. A special place.

House and location absolutely wonderful with jungle garden and many different birds and mammals. Easy access to the beach, restaurants and shops. Only problem was noisy motorbikes

Amazing stay !We love this place so much - we were a family of 3.We enjoyed the location & the surroundings.We were welcomed by a sloth, iguanas, monkeys...The fact that the house is fully opened towards outside makes it really atypical but lovely (for us !)We spent much more time there than what we thought. Even during green season where rains & thunder can happen in the afternoon, it was a lovely place to hear the noise of the rain, read a book and lye on the hammock !We highly recommend this house & would love to come back again one day !
