Could not have had a better time staying at this property. Clean house, enjoyed the pool, great restaurants within walking distance. The bus stop is maybe a 2 minute walk from the property and makes the beach and the national park very accessible. We would stay here again.

The layout of the home was great!! Very unique fitting with Costa Rican culture… we got to feed the monkeys which came to the balcony… Mandel was extremely helpful in booking tours in the area…Thank you for a great time!!

Villa Reel In was perfect for a group!! The indoor and outdoor space is perfect. There is indoor space to socialize, outdoor space to socialize and the rooms have privacy and their own balconies to offer alone time. The birds are amazing!! The monkeys in the morning are exhilarating! The views at sunset will stay with you for a lifetime. Beds are comfortable. Showers are hot. Pool is refreshing and warm too plunge into quickly.

This house was an amazing place to call home during our stay. The beds we SO COMFORTABLE and pool is amazing! It’s only steps away from grocery and liquor stores, souvenir shops and an excellent pub called Vista Verde - the food is great, the view is incredible and the people are so friendly!! Probably our favourite part of this rental was all of the wildlife we were able to see and interact with without leaving the property. Cheeky monkey visits in the mornings, howler monkeys waking us up every day, scarlet macaws flying in the near distance, and little furry guys waddling around. The owner responds to questions immediately - thanks so much for your responsiveness! We all agreed that we wished we had at least another week on your property!! Pura vida!!

Lots of room with a great location

The house was beautiful and we loved the fact that each room has a bathroom! It was well located in town to walk to restaurants and convenient stores yet off the main street. Mandel also gave us great recommendations! He told us about a beach a little farther south that was gorgeous and we were practically the only ones on it!

Vacation

Suprising and very cool. The pool was a great feature. We saw a large troop of monkeys and the bird life was fantastic right from the patio. Manuel Antonio just a short drive away. We had a lot of fun.

Your own (not so) little private wildlife viewing area

We were really looking forward to staying here and we were not disappointed. There was more than enough room for our group of six.The verandas were used often to view the many birds and ground animals that came by. The pool was also a nice respite from the tropical heat.Though we were too enthralled with being so close to nature to really care, the property is a bit dated and could use a little TLC.

Great house setup

Having 4 bedrooms and baths was mavelous! The almost daily monkeys that showed up at the house was wonderful.We also saw Macaws, Toucans, and many other birds. We also heard Howler monkeys.There are more things to do than you have time.

The location of this house in Manuel Antonio is truly amazing — surrounded by nature, full of wildlife, and offering a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The property has plenty of space, including a large kitchen, making it perfect for families or groups. The setting feels like a little slice of paradise, with the sounds of birds and the beauty of nature. That said, the house could use some extra care and attention. With a bit of maintenance and love, it could easily become absolutely stunning and perfect. The potential is definitely there, and with just a little investment in upkeep, it would be a dream place to stay.

OUTSTANDING

The vilas is fabulous. We loved the space and privacy. We were 6 adults and one child and had so much room. The pool was a used a great deal. So nice to have one to ourselves. Comfortable beds with plenty of towels The pool was cleaned every other day. The housekeeper did a wonderful job Highly recommend Toucans, capuchin monkeys every day. The monkeys were most entertaining. Loved every minute of our stay

Conveniently located vacation rental

The property has lovely outdoor spaces for sitting and eating but the indoor spaces are less commodious and comfortable. Some of the beds could use a new mattress or at least a topper, and the living room furniture is not very comfortable. The location for exploring Manuel Antonio and Quepas is excellent. The inexpensive public bus, located at the top of the road, is an inexpensive and efficient alternative to a car.

Top of the hill

When we arrived it was not clear that we were there, the outside is not impressive. However we were soon met by MNdel who gave us a thorough tour of the house. It was impressive and we had plenty of space to move around and we enjoyed the large warm water pool. The kitchen was well supplied and very large. The open verandas allowed for some impressive bird and monkey watching. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay. The host answered every question we had, and was very helpful. The property is really cool, my family loved it, and the location is super cool, and very close to a lot of amazing restaurants and beaches, as well as Manuel Antonio National park. We saw monkeys, gladiator frogs, toucans, and macaws, without even leaving the property. I do not recommend the property to someone with mobility issues, and I would be cautious with children. There are a lot of stairs and the pool is right outside your door. Just something to be aware of when you are making your decision!

Highly recommended, beautiful house in an ideal location

Mandel's home exceeded expectations. It is spacious, clean, and secure with well-functioning AC in every room and a nice pool area for lounging, complete with waterfall. From the patio, we watched sunsets, monkeys eating berries in a nearby tree, and macaws fly by. Three of the four bedrooms are located in a separate wing connected to the main house by a bridge. We felt the layout offered another element of privacy and a mini-resort feel. The home is centrally located in Manuel Antonio and walkable to many restaurants. Mandel was attentive and a pleasure to book with.

Very spacious property

The property was wonderful. I had a flight delay. I ended up getting to the property at 4:45 in the morning. There was not much response. Then, the directions were sketchy. There needs to be a sign. Or, a big X painted on the gate. Bring what you need. Towels and dishes provided. A grill. Awesome view!

Disappointing Villa

Whilst there were no lies told, the pictures and description overstate the quality of this accommodation. The bedrooms were dark and generally underwhelming. The kitchen was very poorly equipped with hardly any saucepans/ no kettle etc. However, the location, near many restaurants was good but you need a car to get to the beach (which was very nice)

Disappointment

The house size and wildlife in backyard tree are its best features. No extras—not even salt and pepper in the kitchen. Dirty — shower drain filled with previous tenants hair. No pillows with clean cases; just shams. Safety hazards like total slippery tile floors and no handrails. Steep parking. Will end on good note of nice swimming pool.

First, this property gets a 10/10 for location, convenience, space, and value!However you should know a few things before booking:1) layout - 3 of the bedrooms are in a separate building that require you to walk across an outdoor hallway. If you have small children, this may not work. We have 4 children and we made it work but probably would not recommend for families with small children.2) amenities - this is not a full service all inclusive house. It was very clean and the kitchen had all the cooking stuff you need (pots/pans, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, blender, etc). However, you will need to supply everything. Bathrooms are clean but you need to bring shampoo etc. This was not a problem for us (especially with a grocery store 2 blocks away). has washer/dryer - takes some time but works well.Location- amazing! halfway between quepos and MA park. you can walk to a large grocery store and a couple of nice restaurants. If you get to the grocery store early, they have fresh baked baguettes every morning! The location alone makes this worth it.Comfort - great pool to enjoy the hot afternoons, nice AC in all the rooms, saw lots of monkeys and birds from the house. Felt very safe and peaceful.Bonus boat access- we booked a sunset cruise for our family with Mandel the host and it was amazing! definitely recommend going through him if you are interested. Communication - excellent communication with Mandel before and during!
