Great stay!

Such a cozy cabin in a great location! Our girls loved seeing all of the deer outside of the front porch. Cabin was well stocked, neat and enjoyable. Would stay there again!

Great for dogs

Neat little cabin, had everything we needed. Dogs loved the little yard area to explore and watch neighborhood cats. Conveniently located to town, short walk to most restaurants and shopping. Would stay again!

Pet friendly comfortable stay

We are retired and our college grandson along with our dog, Karl, stayed the week. It was perfect for us and absolutely perfect for having our dog along with us. Enjoyed the deck and fenced backyard. It was handy to town. We even got to pick cherries near High Roll about 10 min away.

Good place to stay

This is a clean and comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood, the deck and fenced yard are a plus. Our suggestion is to designate space in a kitchen cabinet and dresser drawer for guests to store their things!

Convenient to hiking and nature

This cabin was close to Trestle Depot Recreation area and to several restaurants. The feeders attracted lovely birds. The bathroom is a bit small for big and tall men, but we adapted.

Snow Retreat

The cabin was comfortable and very clean. The first night it snowed quite a bit , so that was an adventure for us being that we are from South TX. We enjoyed the serenity of the cabin! We’ll be back Y’all !

Great choice of place

Great experience here with my partner, my daughter n son in law, their dog n our dog. The dogs had a blast in the fenced yard. Main reason we choose this place. They really made it feel like home, since the place is fully equipped. Enjoyed our little road trip in this cozy little cabin. We more definitely choice this place again! Thank u

Great weekend getaway

This was a great place to stay for a weekend with family, family friends, and my dogs. It's a cozy and well maintained little cabin and we really appreciated having a fenced yard where the dogs could run around in for a bit. We even saw some wildlife casually strolling next to our yard, which was really neat. I had a few questions right before our stay and the property manager was very quick to respond. The only thing is we noticed some wrappers and minor trash in the corner of the closet and there were some animal droppings in the yard before we let the dogs out there, but these were very minor and didn't affect our stay. The location was also excellent. Close enough to be within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and hiking trails, but still a very peaceful and quiet spot. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Cute little cabin

We enjoyed our stay at Squirrel Cabin. Close to town, and close to a really nice trailhead. (within walking distance). We enjoyed the back deck a couple times, we had rain while we were there so that feature was not enjoyed as much as we’d of like to. Had a small fenced area and that was great for my service dog. However previous guest must not have picked up after their pet/pets as it was a minefield for us. I did the best I could with picking up my dog and some others. Had an issue with the television but the owner called and walked us through it. Very nice folks. Nice break from the Texas heat.

Birthday celebration

We were so happy with the cabin. The location was perfect and the bonus fenced yard made it so easy for our pup. First time in Cloudcroft and we really enjoyed it. Even had snow on our visit which made it perfect! Booking was so easy and Terri was quick to respond to my questions. Thank you!!

A nice stay but some issues

The cabin was quaint. The overall experience was good, however, if you have elderly parent with you, which I did the cabin was not very accessible to a person with disabilities. Also, if you are a larger person, which I am the bathroom setup is cramp and shower very small. Some updates would have been nice. But, we adjusted and the overall experience was good, property manager great, returned call immediately and was very friendly. The cabin was neat and clean and well maintained. I do not like fake fireplaces and the fireplace had been replaced with fake electric lightshow one, which did not actually give off a lot of heat. But was heaters worked ok and cabin was warm. Had a good time and an overall nice stay. But will look for a elderly friendly cabin next time. Would be ok for younger people.

Summer Escape

The booking & check in/out process was a breeze. The set up was perfect for dog owners. The deck was amazing! The carpet was in need of cleaning, but everything else was great. The kitchen was well stocked. It was very quiet at night considering we were so close to all the restaurants & shops of down-town Cloudcroft. I would definitely stay here again.

Great time in the cool pines.

We booked this place b/c our dogs are afraid of fireworks. We had a great time and didn't hear a single firecracker. The outside deck was beautiful and the weather great. It was a fun getaway

Cozy cabin with great location.

This was a nice cabin overall…fenced yard for the fur babies and nice deck as well. Only things I found needing addressed is the shower head definitely needs to be replaced and the fireplace would have been nice to enjoy with wood burning. There was a note about the fireplace not being traditionally used because of trees around close by and recent city ordinances not allowing it.

Summer get away

The cabin was in a great location and the deck was very nice and had a grill. We had our small dog with us and he loved the fenced in back yard. The king bed was very comfortable. However the shower was a joke. The shower sprayed everywhere except on you, like a big circle and nothing in the middle. We had to wrap a wash rag around shower head to get a stream of water to rinse off. Lol.

Wonderful place!!

This cabin in town was absolutely perfect for my husband and I along with our dogs The deck was perfect for star gazing!! If you’re looking for a place close to the shops and restaurants this is the perfect place to rent! It was very clean and the kitchen is well stocked to cook in, we’ve stayed in many rentals in cloudcroft but this cabin has been our favorite so far. We’ll be back 🤗

Small issues.

The listing on Evolve and VRBO, has the map section placing the house in the wrong place, rather then where it was in the center of cloudcroft. Mothball smell was overwhelming at first, light candles and spray. Sent an Email to evolve nearly two weeks ago about a concern, still no response. Terri who is the boots on the ground was great. But she couldn't do anything about my concern, only Evolve could.
