Hillside är en moderniserad Cornish stuga för 8 personer och en hund i den lilla byn Trethias, bara 10 minuters promenad över fält till stranden Treyarnon Bay. Det är avskilt men med underbar utsikt över från alla fönster i både vik och omgivande fält. och inuti, beskriven som en tardis är det lätt och lugnt, rymligt och vackert. Den har 4 stora sovrum och 3 badrum. Utanför däck leder ut till en vacker och sluten trädgård och runt hörnet i en badtunna kommando bra utsikt efter strömmen ner till bukten.

Smakfull och utrustad till en hög standard med Wi-Fi, bredband; telefonlina, Sonos och 4 platt-tv med gratis utsikt.
Köket matsalen är ljus och tillmötesgående (bord sittplatser upp till 12) - liksom loungen; sängarna är stora och djupt bekväma.

Stugan sover 8 men erbjuder även en barnsäng för en baby.
Alla fyra sovrummen är stora med fantastisk utsikt, tre har kung eller super king size-sängar; två har en sviter bad / duschrum och nedervåningen är en familj badrum; - Det fjärde sovrummet har två enkelsängar.

En solig inhägnad trädgård ger bra BBQ och utomhus äta på terrassen.
Eller helt enkelt titta på solnedgången på stranden från Hot Tubens integritet.

10 minuter lätt promenad till stranden antingen över fält eller med vägen (byväg endast i Treyarnon)
Youth Hostal på Treyarnon Bay gör enkel mat och öppnar sin vänliga bar för lokala öl, ciders och musik, alla välkomna, inklusive din hund.
Underbar surfing vid Treyaron Beach, en stor sandy vik med rockpooler, surfing och naturpoolen.
Det är bara några minuter från vår bakdörr att släppa ner och gå med i South West Coastal Path efter promenad till Constantine Bay, Porthcothan och vidare runt till Padstow.

Golf på Championship Lynx kursen på Trevose Golf Club i Constantine ligger en halv mil bort och inom gångavstånd. St Merryn med sina restauranger och pubar ligger en kort promenad 20 minuter över topparna i bergen, igen med underbar utsikt över Padstow och havet.

Perfekt för familjer i alla åldrar eller entusiaster av promenader, fågelskådning eller golf, surfare, vänskapsgrupper och cyklister.

Fantastic

We stayed at Hillside for a week in July. It was absolutely fantastic. We couldn’t fault it. The house is amazing. Really well equipped kitchen. 2 lovely double bedrooms upstairs with en-suite’s. We really couldn’t have asked for any more.

Just wonderful.

Beautifully presented. Well appointed. Great communication. A true home from home. Local area wonderful. The additional information provided by Katie about walks, beaches, places to eat made it easy to stay and truly enjoy the surroundings. We hope to stay again soon!

Great week in May

My family and I had a lovely week at Hillside. It’s an easy walk to the Beach and the house is well equipped for a great family stay. The owner, Louise is very friendly and helpful, we loved the handmade cake on arrival!

Loved it!

We had a really relaxing week in this beautiful cottage. Perfectly placed for exploring the local area and walkable to the beach. Stunning beach after stunning beach by day and a hot tub for evening relaxation - perfect!

A week at Hillside Cottage

We are a family of 6 (4 kids) and we had a wonderful week at Hillside. The location is fantastic. Being able to walk to two great beaches (Treyarnon and Constantine) is a real plus - I think we only used the car once. The cottage is really well equipped and a perfect place to unwind and unplug. The views from the back of the cottage are really special - we all loved sitting in the hot tub soaking it all in! Kate is a fantastic host: great communications. Only one thing to note is the drive is tight for a large car.

Beautiful tranquil spot with everything needed forP

Really well stocked house- everything had been thought of - great size for 5 . Really homely feel . Dog loved the underfloor heating ! Good communication . Lovely sitting in hot tub watching the owls flying across the fields . Walking distance to beach amd close to lovely Constantine stores for greAt produce.

Wild, wet & windy: WONDERFUL!

Thank you Katie for your fantastic comms & info about the house and area! Hillside is a beautifully presented, very spacious, warm and comfortable home which is well equipped and clean. Beautiful views over the fields and valley towards Treyarnon Bay. Pretty, well kept garden, large deck and amazing hot tub! We came in October hoping for some wild weather and storms and we were not disappointed. Great location and an excellent choice of place to stay in all seasons due to its close proximity to all the fabulous beaches in the area and stunning coastal scenery.

Perfect location

We have stayed in this part of Cornwall several times before - such a great area to visit and re-visit. Hillside is a perfect house as it is amazingly comfortable, very peaceful, and less than 10 minutes gentle walk to the wonderful Treyarnon Bay. There, you can walk, swim, surf, eat, buy a newspaper, have a drink, walk over to Constantine bay or just gaze at the sea. But it is also perfect for St Merryn, Padstow and Newquay as well as all the fantastic coves nearby. The house has pretty much all that you can want including a well-equipped kitchen, garden and nice terrace. We went at Easter with chill nights when it proved cosy so I think would be fine all year around. Thoroughly recommended.

Definitely Five Star Accommodation!

This is a beautiful property which is very spacious and well equipped with lovely views across the fields. A real sense that the owner, Katie, and the manager, Ruth, were ready to help us in any way we needed. There was no long list of do's and don'ts on arrival, just a very warm welcome with cake! They let us go in as soon as the cleaning was finished (spotlessly clean) which was a real bonus having driven down early in the morning. We were surprised when we arrived to see that there is a big property next door but found, in the end, we didn't get any noise from it. Hillside is incredibly peaceful (just a little bit of traffic passing by occasionally for the beach, which didn't seem at all invasive, and I'm fussy about traffic noise!). This was our fourth visit to Treyarnon Bay (stayed in a static caravan before - bit of a contrast with Hillside!). Treyarnon is my first choice of beach in Cornwall, and if you want more variety or sand dunes - Constantine is only a short walk away. I would definitely recommend Hillside, it is absolutely beautiful. The only thing to bear in mind the 10 minute walk to the beach along the road. Can't recommend any restaurants or activities in the area because other than a cream tea at Bedruthan Steps (yummy), all we wanted to do was be on Treyarnon beach or relaxing at Hillside. We were a party which stretched in age from 14 to 87. The teenagers appreciated the consistent, working WiFi. Also it was good to have a landline available for any emergencies as there is sparse mobile signal in that area. It's the best house we have ever stayed in.

Hillside Holiday

We have just had a wonderful week staying in the beautiful Hillside cottage. What a location. Choice of beautiful beaches on the doorstop and a great location to explore further. The children loved the hottub and the views from the decking enjoyed with a Would love to return.

Fantastic memories

Hillside, is a holiday where dreams are made. We arrived to a beautiful cake and the house was spotless. The bedrooms are huge and beautifully decorated. Just a short walk across a couple of fields and you are at a beautiful array of beaches ( my favourite was Booby's bay. I loved all the little coves) When we got back to the house after a long day messing about on the beach, the hot tub was just the ticket. Katie was so informative with walks and places to go and visit. If you want to have a fantastic holiday this is definitely the one to stay at.

Fabulous holiday in a wonderful place!!

This property is ideal for families with or without children and pets. It is a spacious house with all rooms having private facilities and your own space if you want it . It has a well equipped kitchen and a dining space for all to eat comfortably . Lots of board games to play if the weather is bad or in the evening the tv with Netflix is also an option . A lovely hot tub on decking in the lovely garden to enjoy where you can all chill and watch the amazing sunset whilst chatting about the days adventures. All in all a great house in a great spot ten minutes walk to the beach and beautiful countryside views from every window very peaceful !! Also lots of places to visit up and down the coast and good eateries nearby if you wish to dine out!

Family Holiday

Walked to Treyarnon Beach & Constantine Bay. Boys played golf. We Paddle Boarded and rock climbed, swam through a cave. Slightly tricky road but definitely worth it. We had an amazing holiday and Hillside was a great place to stay!

A wonderfully comfortable stay

We had a great week away in late April with my in-laws. The 6 of us (4 adults and 2 young kids) found the house comfortable and well appointed (the kitchen in particular is well equipped for a rental property). Spotlessly clean and very homely. Enjoyed the hot tub, and many sunny day trips out. Also appreciated Katie (the owner’s) tips and responsiveness. The lack of direct walking access to a pub / restaurant / cafe is a slight disadvantage ... but on the other hand you’re 10 mins walk to beautiful Treyarnon Bay and a short drive to many other great beaches / coves / coastline walks. Many thanks indeed!

Wonderful September stay near Padstow

We had a wonderful stay at Hillside. Plenty of space for 6 adults plus our dog. The house was clean and well equipped - and tea, coffee, milk and a delicious sponge cake from the local bakery were gratefully received after a long drive! Plenty of kitchen equipment provided for cooking or even baking. The position is fabulous, walking distance to the local beaches and dramatic coastal path, and well placed for exploring around the area. After a day of beach, walking or exploring, it was lovely to come back to the hot tub or sit on the deck with countryside views towards the bay, and really comfortable beds. The master suite was impressive, though the corner shower was rather cosy. But the views to the sea from one window were outstanding from the master (the only direct view of the sea itself.) Though we didn't need them, a good sized cot and plenty of toys are provided for kids. The information file gave lots of suggestions for days out and walks. And tucked away from light pollution, we could see the stars and Milky Way. We were lucky with the weather, but you'd be very comfortable here in any season. Highly recommended.

Fantastic property in a great location

What a lovely house with all the space and amenities that our party of 7 needed. The house is well maintained and everything was as described. The location is great being minutes walk from Treyarnon Bay and minutes drive into Padstow. The hot tub added a special extra and was welcome after a cool time in the sea. Would recommend without doubt.

Perfect Location

Quiet location only an easy 10 min walk to a lovely dog friendly beach. We had a lovely week in spite of the weather. The house is spacious, well equipped clean and comfortable. The hot tub was a definite bonus. It was a lovely way to relax after a long days walking. It was a real home from home. The owner was kind and accommodating with our varied family needs and her guidance on local walks was excellent. We will defiantly be going back again soon.

Perfect for families

Hillside is a gem! First impressions were that it was more spacious than I’d imagined, and immaculately presented. We loved the hot tub - what a treat after a long walk to come back & relax with a glass of fizz! The walks are incredible & the beach at Treyarnon an easy 10 minute walk away. Hillside is perfect for families or couples & I can’t recommend it highly enough - we loved our time there & will return!

Relaxing holiday at lovely Hillside

Hillside was a lovely holiday home. A well equipped property, clean and spacious and accurately described. 10 minutes walk to Treyarnon Bay which we visited every day, lots of walking, body boarding and sunsets on the beach. Easy walking to lots of other stunning beaches. Quality time spent with our 'grown-up' children's ! Hot tub used each day and lovely scenery. We will return! And highly recommend this family holiday home!

A great week in Cornwall

Hillside is a very comfortable and well located house. It was well equipped and thoughtfully furnished. The hot tub was a great extra and much enjoyed. It's only 10 minutes walk to the beach with an excellent cafe/bar at the hostel on the cliff tops. A fab place to stay.

Perfect house in my perfect place

TREYARNON BAY has been the "Happy place' for my family for over 20 years. This year we wanted to holiday as a family with adult children and our dogs. We found Hillside on the internet and knew where it was and that it would be a great location for us. We were not disappointed. The house had everything we could possibly need and the daily show the local barn owl put on for us was the icing on the cake. That you Katie we had a wonderful week with wonderful weather very close to our favourite English beach

Amazing stay - book this place!

The property is immaculate, very well equipped and has a hot tub with amazing country views. We spent a couple of evenings, champagne in hand (in plastic glasses provided) watching the owl. Pure relaxation. Light and airy lounge, huge bedrooms, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen - what more could you ask for The garden is fully enclosed which was great as we had taken our young dog - and therefore safe if you have children A short drive to Padstow- a vibrant town and a short walk to Treyarnon Beach for some fresh sea air I thoroughly recommend this Cottage and hope to return next year

My husband and I live in the New Forest we are now retired from the NHS. We started camping in Cornwall when our children were all small and decided that a cottage was the best way to visit this beautiful coastline in the winter. We bring our dog, walking boots, wet-suits and bikes but spend the first two days relaxing with a glass of wine and the binoculars, - we don't care about the weather, the more wild the better! To come in to the serenity of Hillside is something we never tire of. Our children love it too as the surfing culture has universal appeal, they tell us a Hot Tub is essential and they sign up to whatever we do!

Varför värden valde detta boende

We were so lucky to find this lovely conversion of a coastal Cornish Cottage enabling us to winter escape and admire real stormy seas as well as offering surfing appeal and beach for the children. It is relaxing. It offers space, privacy and surrounding lovely views back, front and over fields to the sea. It is high spec but charming. People have said that when they are staying there they don't want to leave to go out, they prefer to enjoy the place with its peace, eat out on the decking overlooking the garden and fields and watching the sun setting over the Bay. We love it and so do the guests. and the dog.
