Great host!

David is an excellent host. Very welcoming and quick to respond when we had a question. This is a great location when visiting Colorado Springs. The kitchen was a little messy and there were crumbs on the range. The beds were to soft for our liking. Overall we had a wonderful time staying here.

Dream extended stay spot

Best CO Springs location imaginable: walking distance from Old Colorado City "downtown." Loved everything about this place, including the host's proactive and friendly communication, Can't recommend David's place highly enough!

Perfect home for holiday getaway

What a wonderful home only 5 minutes walk from quaint Old Colorado City. Bundled up and walked yummy breakfasts. Did sightseeing (so close to Garden of the Gods!) all day. Enjoyed complimentary bottle of wine and walked back into town for dinnerHost thought of everything! Fabulous book with recommendations for restaurants, shops, sights and everything in house. Hope to return soon!!

Best VRBO stay ever!

We really enjoyed staying at David's cozy little home. It was very clean and felt like home. I would definitely recommend this Awesome place to my friends and family. We will be back!

First trip to Colorado

The home was great home away from home with all the amenities of home. It was in close proximity to many tourist sites . We even had 4 6 pt deer visitors in drive ! Our little dogs felt comfortable there and had a nice enclosed area too ! We enjoyed the Garden of Gods , towns nearby and drive to Rocky Mountains! It was a great week !

Trip to Colorado

Took a trip to Colorado for 10 days in October. We stayed at the Bijou house in Colorado Springs. Dave was the best host. He called me to make sure we had arrived safely and we had a wonderful chat. The bijou house offered everything we needed for our six days stay and our three person family visit. The house was immaculate and had all the amenities. Our family explored all that Colorado Springs had to offer and it was close to a lot we had on our itinerary I’m sure there was much more but we had a great time. We hiked at Garden of the Gods (my favorite!!), Seven Springs, visited Manitou Falls, and road the Cog railway up to Pike Peak. Thank you, Dave. We will be back to Colorado Springs. Thanks again, Pam.

Colorado sight seeing

This was a great location for visiting sights in Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs and Denver. The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The host made it incredibly easy to check in and out.

Happy Hiker

My husband and I loved the location of this home. Close to the places we wanted to visit: Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods with several close choices for dining out. The home is equipped with everything we needed, beautifully decorated, comfortable seating and beds. David was quick to respond to our questions and made our check-in easy! We even got to check-in a little early! If we venture your way again, we'd definitely love to stay in your home!

Old Colorado City Hide-away.

We really enjoyed this property. Located in Old Colorado City and minutes from Manitou Springs it’s a perfect base to explore the area. We can’t wait to come back for another stay.

Great covered patio in back

We had a lovely stay at the Bijou House. It was very clean and comfortable and had lots of nice features. It was very close to Old Colorado City but when walking, be aware of the hill to get back and forth! Highly recommend and would stay here again!

Great Place!

This house was in a great location. David's communication put us at ease even before arrival and wanted to make sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. We enjoyed using the kitchen to prepare breakfasts before our outings and BBQ in the evening. We will return here in the future!

Wonderful Home and Host!

Lovely home, comfortable and easy access to all CO Springs and Manitou Springs tourist areas. Downtown area only couple blocks away w/cute shops and nice restaurants. Home is tastefully decorated (nice art work), plush bathroom linens and loved the wood and tile floors. Large kitchen had lots of equipment for your cooking/baking needs. Great outdoor patio too! David, the Host/home owner was wonderful! Personable, promptly answered any questions and gave us great intel for local areas to visit (beyond the commonly visited touristy ones). We truly enjoyed our stay! Thank you, David!

Family Vacation

This was an excellent place to stay. It was very convenient to Old Colorado City (could walk there in 5 minutes) and it was like a home away from home. The owner was easy to reach with any questions and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, even offering to make dinner reservations for us our first evening in town if we wanted. I would highly recommend staying here for anyone wanting to see what this part of Colorado has to offer and would definitely stay here again. It was a great place to stay and great place to visit.

If you're looking for a perfect spot to take in all that Colorado Springs has to offer - look no further. The property is ideally located (3 minutes from seemingly everything) and is very well maintained. We'll certainly be back!

Dale runs her commercial contracting business while David tends to his photography and art pursuits. Together they have manifest a wonderful space in which to simply relax or to gather with friends or family. All the artwork in the home is original and mostly created by David.
