We were unable to stay due to arriving to a broken lock on the door and had to find new accommodations in the middle of the night after a long flight. I have requested a refund but have not received a reply.

AWESOME PLACE AND GREAT HOST

Great location and so close (less than 2 mins drive) from Broadmoor Resort. I saved about $1250 over 5 nights versus staying at BM for a convention. I actually feel like I walked less than if I stayed at the resort due to the free valet parking at both main entrances at Broadmoor. Dustin responded within minutes everytime I had a question or a concern. I will stay here again if available the next time I am in CO Springs !!

The front Door would not lock- we left

The front door was a slider and would not lock. We didn’t feel safe so we were only there an hour. Cobwebs lined the stairs leading to the door. Loud AC off and on.

Excellent Honeymoon Spot!

This was our pre honeymoon get away, and it was beautiful! This is a cozy little studio in an awesome location. If you stay in the winter and use the fireplace, you have to clean the wood stove yourself and take out the trash. But if you stay in summer there is a beautiful creek in the back yard and the open space is a short walk away.

Nice but needs work

With a little investment this could be wonderful place. Had a few small issues, TV wouldn't work, outlet hanging out of wall... Not enough dishes, 2 plates, two forks. All in all we would give it another chance.

False Advertisment

From check in night to the last day there were difficulties. We arrived to a hot (roll around air conditioning)to being off, toe nail clippings on the ground, bugs in cookware, Goodwill sheets and mattress stains, mildew smelling 70's shower curtain and terrible communication. New sheets were brought over, cleaning service (she was very professional )arrived and helped and brought in a new blanket and some towels. There wasn't anything to wash dishes with or an extra trash bag and we are so glad we brought our own pillows! We had to buy supplies while were were out to finish our stay. We tried to get moved but the owner wouldn't release us. No refunds or help to move to another property. Our only help was Vrbo and their assistance to get the owner on the phone and try and help. It was a gorgeous view of the creek (water) but that is the only thing that was correctly advertised on the listing. Cobwebs, dirt and so much more. It was very disappointing and it was an Anniversary trip. We have never complained or had a bad booking until now. On the next to the last day we were even notified we needed to be out because someone else book it . We had to spend another hour dealing with that. We were the ones that had booked it for five nights and four days. All in all the city was good and our adventures were great. I hope no one else has to go through this.

Extremely Misleading!

I guess VRBO does not double check there listings. This is Literally a room above a garage. It is set above a double duplex. The initial pic they show looks like a nice cabin. You are on the second floor. No way to walk down to the creek and very insecure. We arrived an hour early...didnt take into time zone factor, but was told we had to wait for cleaning crew. Ya, they missed this address. Then we were not left "check in" instructions till after 6 hours on the road. We had a 9 hour drive. No anything an in bed by 8pm? There are only a couple window's which look out upon a whole neighborhood. Very uncomfortable. That is your view. They see you the whole time. The "Loft, Bungalow" was very tiny. You can not walk between the "breakfast bar and couch" without walking sideways. There' is no "room" and Defiantly No room for 4 . The couch is an old stained piece of furniture. The bed "Thank goodness I always bring my own bedding," had many stains on the mattress. I took pics from the time we got there to when we left. It was so disc gusting. I paid less than half of what they are charging now because I paid months ago during covid and thought a reduction in price because of Covid. I reserved this again for mine and husbands anniversary. I paid less than half what they are asking for now. You cant even lay on the bed (NOT A QUEEN!) without the "fireplace" getting in the way. Who would even start a fire in that tiny room? Good Luck! The bathroom is Extremely small! you have to walk in sideways. When the "vent kicked on" I automatically got very sick. There were white hairs (cat) and the dust was intolerable. There is no privacy, windows, only facing neighbors,(the front of their homes) its extremely uncomfortable. You are not by the Creek, unless you look over the second floor railing which is where you stay. We had a stranger walk up and ask for "Erik?" really creepy. you can not keep the shades up, the whole block behind you will see you. Two steps from the bed to the GROSS stained couch, ONE, step from the Kitchen to the STAINED couch, Cant lay in bed and enjoy a show. Cant use the window's because the whole neighborhood see's. I have to assume that the other reviews are friends and family. NO ONE would want to stay here. AGAIN! NO way does it sleep four. There is NO BEDROOM all one small room. I wanted to cook us a nice Anniversary dinner...Refused to use the stove fridge, or microwave. Sad on VRBO's part! GROSS! We just left early. Misleading!

Do not rent this property!

THIS PROPERTY SHOULD NOT BE FOR RENT on VRBO. The property owner has no idea what to do! We had to park in a dirt/muddy side in the bushes and try to step up the hand placed landscape pavers he calls steps!! It is dark, dank, 3 stories high in the trees, no view and bushy exterior. Interior is old, garage sale furniture, old bamboo blinds were shredded and broken, no privacy or light blocking from the 15 spotlights across the creek. The bed was so smelly with old pillows and covers we had to use our own blanket and we left early the next morning. The kitchen faucet needs repair, won’t shut off. The small closet is filled with “stuff” and door is broken! The creek , once you can get to it say “no trespassing”! I could not get into the bed on the side, had to crawl over! There is no bedroom; bed in the living area. Too much furniture for small space. The interior is very dark and the lighting is spotlights on a track. The tv streaming is so slow, you have to read the captions as the voices are behind the picture. Again, there is NO view except for tree limbs, many broken and dead, and the horrible neighbor shack and clutter across the creek- and the neighbor who hangs out watching you! Lastly……you will NEVER RECEIVE A REFUND!

Very basic bungalow--great setting with wildlife

The location of this bungalow was great. We loved sitting on the deck beside the creek. The Q sized bed was comfortable but the sofa bed is really only suitable for one child (the sides are broken near the foot of it). The kitchen is well-equipped with just about everything (except wine glasses).

The cabin was hot (100+),stuffy and smelled of d smelled of mildew. The was no AC

We requested protocols for picking up key , address etc. Prior to checking in and received a list of renters responsibilities at 4:30 after renters arrival Description of property was deceptive. There was no AC, it was located in a neighborhood where window could be safely raised

A disappointing stay

• The entrance to the garage apartment was overgrown with weeds and littered with debris. The photos were a misrepresentation of the property. • Dust and dead bugs on the floor under the bed and around the edges of the room; • Bamboo window shades we're frayed and falling apart; • Ashes and particles of trash and a single old, filthy glove were in an otherwise empty metal tray for wood; when asked where to find the wood stack, we were told to go buy our own. • the back of the stove had grease streaks on it; • Two radiant floor heaters gave off insufficient heat to warm the room; • the metal cover for one of the radiant floor heaters had fallen off and was laying on the floor; • there was only one wine glass for use by guests; • dust had accumulated on top wooden towel rack holders in the bathroom. • The white rug in front of shower was filthy with dirt spots, the rug in front of bathroom sink had clearly not been laundered for some time as the nap was matted down from overuse. • The bottle of hand soap was so old it separated. • Usual and customary protocols for Covid sanitization did not exist. • One bedside lamp was burned out. When asked for a replacement we were given a bulb that flashed every 20 seconds. Very poor lighting throughout the room. • The towels were well worn, and the washcloths smelled mildew. • This garage apartment was a poor value and a bitter disappointment

Cozy, Quiet place

Cute and quaint place to escape life. Scenic view of creek. Was surprized to find less than a mile to amazingly scenic hiking trails up to Helen Hunt Falls. Well worth the trek.

Was not what we expected!

While the area of town was nice enough, we were expecting to be a little more tucked out of the way instead of directly in the main part of town. The property management was very nice and prompt, but we felt like we were led astray. The bungalow is nice enough, but we thought it was priced more than what we got. For half the amount for a hotel, we would have received the same amenities. There was a strict no children policy, for which we could understand, but there was also a noise restriction for after 8 pm. Considering the steps to the bungalow were right above a homeowner's head, we felt like we were unable to hang out on the patio overlooking the creek. Speaking of the creek, there was a fenced area and we were not able to get down to enjoy the beauty of it. While we were there, a neighbor who was constantly in a stand of some sort, was always using his binoculars to peep through our window. We found this slightly alarming and therefore kept the drapes drawn. We definitely did not feel as if we had privacy. We definitely did not feel secluded. The bungalow itself had a few issues, like very little lighting in the kitchen which made cooking at night very difficult. The bathroom was very small and felt as if the floor was slanted. Overall, I wanted to love this property but I just didn't. I don't feel good leaving a bad review, but at the same time I feel like the description on the property leads you to believe you are getting something entirely different. My suggestion would be to edit the description a little bit to let people know exactly what they are getting so that they too won't feel like they were duped out of money.

Quaint and clean

The property was just as pictured in the listing. Very basic with all our needs met. The location was wonderful, situated beside a stream at the base of the Rockies. We had the windows open and listened to the rain fall and just enjoyed the location!!

Nice place to stay!

This was a nice property to stay at. My only suggestion was to add more lighting as it was a little dark to cook. Had a comfortable bed with an open design to the living room. You do have to go up a flight of stairs to enter which didn’t both us at all. When I went outside in the morning, there was a deer walking down the street.

Our stay was very nice here. Walking distance to some very cool views and a few eating places. Easy to communicate with host. Perfect size for 2 adults!

Family vacation

The property was in a good location. This made it easy to get to a main roads for places to eat or entertainment. The owners were easy to communicate with. The only issues we had were the air conditioning. Most months in Colorado this probably isn’t an issue but while we were there it was between 90-100 degrees. We spent much of our day out exploring. When we returned to our room it was very warm every day and took most of the night to cool back down.

Great location, relaxing creek right outside.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the location was perfect; Just a short drive to everything we wanted to see. You can hear the sounds of the creek from inside and it's so relaxing. Everything was very clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed for our 5night stay. Perfect for me and my two children who are already asking to go back.
